I was actually really entertained by Bee's radio talk and expressions to go with them. That was entertaining!

Sweet, a free app game with all my favorite characters! Can't wait to play as G1 Wreck-Gar, Ayy Lmao, and Steve the Vehicon!
...
What do you mean 'this is an actual cartoon meant to market Transformers to a new generation of kids and carry on the legacies of animated, prime, etc.'?

Yeah, that's Wreck-Gar, not Bumblebee. But, you know, I'm sort of resigned to that. The actual animation is rather vacant and bland, but I dig it's to save money. What bothers me, however, is the lack of Decepticon banter. There's no smack talk. No back and forth. Just Windblade (who is playing the straight bot part, so not really showing any personality) and Bumblebee. You can cheapen out on a lot of things, but if you cheapen out on dialogue... I have no interest.

Whelp. so much for the hope I had for this. The curse of Bay's talkless Bumblebee continues and I'm just not feeling this animation style. How can the drawn art look so much better than what they're actually going with?

Okay.
So, this isnt the worst thing I've ever seen.
I appreciate the designs and the general aesthetic they're going for with the robots, and I like the sort of cell shaded CG visual mixture. It's done WAY better here than it was in Rid.
The combat and animation could use some time to develop but the choreography isnt terrible. I especially like the use of dynamic angles and the fact that you can actually see the hits connecting. There are a few flashy coverups for punches and kicks here, but for the most part it's just a fight animated between two giant killer robots.
I also like the little creative touches, like the retractable wings, as others have mentioned.
I like the expressive faces, although they weirdly kinda remind me of that old movie, Robots...not sure why.
Now, for the things I didn't like.
uuuugh...the dialogue. So, Windblade is the only character who really speaks. She's like a teacher or a mother scolding an annoying child, and that's because Bumblebee IS an annoying child here. I thought we were over the whole radio bit, but I guess not....And it's not even really convincing either. It's just Wreck-Gar but less funny. As for Windblade, her lines seem underdelivered, like she isnt trying. Almost like these were her first takes or something. She's just sort of a generic tough girl character, and considering they basically showed her getting her aft kicked, that's not saying a lot.
As for the seeker...no lines. Generic grunts, and that's it.
Also something to note, he had the perfect chance to kill Windblade but instead went after bumblebee. It would have been much more decepticon-like had he tried to take that chance to kill her whle she was down. They could have had Bumblebee save her somehow, making him show a bit of initiative instead of just being annoying and winning via perceived deus ex machina.
All in all im not exactly excited for this. I'll keep an eye on it in case it gets better, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. If children latch onto it, good for them, but all I personally see here is some potential that can very easily be squandered, and if I'm being completely honest, probably will be.

Re: Transformers Cyberverse Animated Series Discussion Thread
It doesn't look good but I'm hoping it falls into the category of "So bad it's funny" as opposed to "So bad it's unwatchable"
I do have one other thing to think:
Many shows over recent years have made a comeback; Will and Grace, Arrested Development, Young Justice, even Teen Titans appears to be getting a new season.
This seems to set a precedent so let us all think for a second, what Transformers Animated series would a lot of people like back?
If we can sit through this one then perhaps our prayers will be answered, and we know that, much like Waspinator, they had plans...

Okay time for my opinion. The radio talk is a bit old know but I'll be surprised if it wasn't done to help bridge the character to his new movie. Where he also talks via radio. The animation isn't a style I would have preferred but it is what it is. I do wonder if this is a proper representation of the series as a whole. For all we know is they could have picked the worse snippet of footage to put up.

Re: Transformers Cyberverse Animated Series Discussion Thread
I hate Bumblebee's radio talk. STAHP.
Windblade looks horrendous. Like she's a Jetsons maid dropout.
Voice acting is godawful.
I saw this on Instagram first and thought it was a joke.
Sadly it is not.
First they take a show like Prime, then go to Robots in Disguise. Now to this. Seems like steps downward...
Things like this make me seriously question how in touch the exec's are with the fanbase. Intentional corporate suicide? I hope not, Hasbro, I love your generations toys.

When you say fanbase...what age do you think this show is aimed at? Because I think it's aimed at the same age as shows like Teen Titans Go! And it's ilk. If you asked hasbro they'd say that the prime wars cartoons were aimed at the older fans. Cyberverse is suposed to be a step up from rescue bots.

There have been good children's shows however.
This clip makes it seem like the kind of mindless kids show parents use to distract their children while thier doing other things.
I'm not asking for an adult Transformers show I'm asking for something actually watchable.

Lotta hate for this already I see. Personally I don't see anything too wrong here, other then my personal feelings towards the bumblebee radio voice gimmick. I do understand why they do it though. between both clips I have seen, I think this show has some promise. long ago with beast wars I thought everything about it was crap until I watched it and found out it was pure win. same with animated.
I mean it cant be another prime wars trilogy right?...

I'll reserve judgement until I see the series proper. But initially, I'm leery. Just when I think they can't dumb down the animation style any more, they succeed in dumbing it down. I thought RID was a heavily stripped down, almost primitive version of TF Prime. Cyberverse looks like a heavily stripped down, really primitive version of RID.
Yes, I get it. Building and animating CGI characters is expensive and they have to cut corners. But first Cyberverse impression? I felt like I was watching that Machina Prime Wars series - only not as good.
But I'll be fair. After all, I thought TFA would be horrible, based on the first clips of it that I saw. But I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The animation style grew on me, mostly because the writing was good enough to keep me engaged. Maybe Cyberverse will ultimately do the same.
But yes, seeing Decepticons strapped with all those arm-mounted guns? And then spending ten seconds running forward half a mile so they can PUNCH the Autobots? That's just stupid. I would think that any melee based weapon would be the LAST thing you'd want to use against a giant, armored robot. They don't have to wear armor, because they're MADE of armor for cryin' out loud! You'd have to hack and slash at them for hours just to make a dint, and by then they could kill you, burn down your house, swipe your dough, impersonate you, take over your career, and key your car.
There's a reason why swords, clubs and suits of armor went the way of the dodo - and the reason was GUNS.

I don't know, laser swords can be quite effective
plus have you seen the marksmanship of grunts these days in cartoons? Being able to hit anything is a lot to ask them
let's not kid ourselves, G1 often resorted to fisticuffs over a gunfight
