Okay, I'll ask. Why are there 2 slightly dfferent jockstraps?
I'm pretty sure one is the trailer hitch for the ML white Prime, and the other one is to hitch the G1 original as an option.

I like how Deerstalker's arms stay attached to him rather than popping off and partsforming to the wheels.

The original G1 Ultra Magnus had two cab connectors.

Right, but they were the same shape as each other. The two included with this version are shaped differently.Seibertron wrote:The original G1 Ultra Magnus had two cab connectors.

The top one is shaped like the two that came with the original toy, while the bottom one moves the trailer hitch hole from the below the connector's "belt" up to the middle of it, looking more like the cartoon model.

I see that the peg holes of both jock-straps are not of the same diameter. So, the "toon" one won't hitch to the cab I assume?

Speaking of Magnus's Matrix, I bet it store behind the partsforming chestplate.

Pre-order is in. Looks really good.
HLJ and Ami-Ami have pe-orders up already.
Ami-Ami as usual has it for less than HLJ at $149.30 US. But shipping to the US will be expensive so take that into consideration.

They still attach at the wheels, but they're always connected to the figure via a rather complex series of joints around the back.

So, the 2 jockstrap are:
+ one for toy accurate
+ one for toon accurate
Is that right?

Even if the spring loaded missiles are a classic feature, I personally thing it is the WORST action feature. Too often, the missile shoot out just because you breathe on the switch, shooting the missile in some alternate dimension, never to be seen again.
There's a special place in Hell for spring loaded missiles.
The only shooting gimmick that is acceptable for missiles are the FRICTION based ones. The ones that were in TF Prime Beast Hunters are the best example.

I completely agree with this. I like the missiles being a separate piece but not having grown up with spectacular shooting missiles in G1 toys because they were all so neutered to begin with, this was never a big thing for me.
However, the Gatling Gun feature on G2 Dreadwing (one of my all time favorite Transformers and one I've oddly never done a gallery of in hopes of getting G2 ATB Megatron at some point for comparison galleries) was incredibly satisfying watching missiles shoot across the room far further than they had any business doing (though for Kanrabat's original comment that was not the spring loaded trigger and admittedly was me getting sidetracked).

I'm sorry you feel that way.
It's nostalgia for me. I won't be able to recreate the joy of shooting my big brother in the eye & laugh (He didn't laugh at the time). Australian kids these days are wrapped in cotton wool.

I have nostalgia for firing missiles, but I don't need them in my adult collectibles. That said, I'm also not a fan of the new pivot added to the launchers.
