Really? Because it sounds to me that you're whining about the games mechanics. Correct me if I'm wrong. You're the top of food chain in this HMW pond, so why is it that you'd be filled up per se by snacking on the tiny fish that you deal with? It's not screwed up game mechanics--it's how the game's always been. You just don't like it now because you've reached the ceiling and there's no where to go anymore.

So like I said, stop playing and come back when the playing field is leveled. And then you can come back and exploit another loophole and get back to the top where you are now. But until then, quit whining--it's really not befitting a "champion" of your sorts.

okay, first of all you couldn't be more wrong in your assessment of the situation. I'm not at all upset with the game mechanics as they are. (wrt v1, it's about getting v2 right) And I think this is clearly shown by my actions in that I'm consistently throwing my bots into those 4-11 missions for y'all to get lots of xp off of. If I really cared that much I would either stick to the arena or I would lower my bots all to level 9 where they can be just as effective in combat and only give 1/2 the xp of the 10's and 1/4 of the 11's. Also, the smack talk portion is in good fun, you opt to take offense at my sarcasm when I make a point that you are bragging about a highscore when my guy came out with like 70% health...it's funny if you ask me...apparently not to you, apparently you think I'm an asshole for thinking it's funny. I know I'm an xp whore and I say that, and you think I'm an asshole for thinking that. That's why I've called you out.

Back to the comments on game mechanics...v1 was not at all my concern when posting a new method for leveling. My concern was with respect to v2, and trying to do v2 the right way. Obviously, that is pointing out that v1 wasn't done the right way, but again that's v1 and there isn't any point in changing that since it's old news.

But the way it should be done is so that experience gained is more relative to your own skill level and not relative to the people you happen to face. In a system where each level is twice as good as the next then you should double the xp. In a system where level x is 20% better than level x-1 you should get 20% more xp. It simply makes sense and I'm sorry to those that disagree, but I feel that those who disagree don't understand the game mechanics. To say this has something to do with me being on top is asinine. I highly doubt I'll be on top in v2, plus you say yourself everything will be even in v2, so your comments can't be because you think I'm trying to give myself an advantage come v2, they are obviously geared at the here and now, which I think from my posts it was pretty clear my point was about the future. I don't give a **** if you score 200k xp every mission.

I've gone back and read that post that your comments here about my whining come from. And I don't really see any expression of ill will towards me there, which I inferred based on your comments here. So I would like to apologize for the namecalling, that was inappropriate. At the same time, I still disagree with you on the previous thread about the state of the system. I am very passionate about math (much moreso than this game). And I really desire a system that's mathematically accurate...this doesn't mean mathematically identical whereby all upgrades have the same effect, but mathematically equal where ideal upgrading should result in equivalent results over the long haul independent of the timing of those upgrades. I can very much understand people not being as passionate about this subject as me, so for me to say those people are dumb is simply wrong.

seriously though, this is fruitless. I have no problem with posting the career high, but I made the remark because you quoted someone else in your post, and even that I didn't mind one bit, but it changes the category to a brag, and a brag just asks for smack talk so you should expect that...it's what makes a point and click simulation fun.

and for you to interpret it all as whining just pisses me off, but not so much now after your continued bs about getting to where I am by exploiting loopholes b/c you've obviously shown you will throw insults with no basis, so I'll just ignore them from here on out.

let's get this thread back on track, it was fun and a good idea. I'll continue to comment where appropriate, but won't be making long posts like this anymore.
