I'd take pics of these rare mini-cons tonight, but it seems my man Rikkomba has already done so...a year ago.

Educate yourselves heathens!

(Noise Effect makes me happy in ways that are odd...afterall, I started the day with a speeding ticket and a bad attitude...)

Eh, those were the days... when I was regularly getting new minicons! And then, Dragoyell put sorrow into my collecting life. I really wanted to review it with those other 3...

Thanks to Botcon and my now-in-pain-wallet all I'm missing to complete the 10 saber teams are the Kabaya Microns (hopefully shipping), Cybertron Ramjet (I REFUSE to pay $30 for one), and whichever one has the clear sonar (far left in the pic). Not bothering to look for the 11th or 12th one since ver0 wasn't that different from the normal one and you guys say the stormsword wasn't ever licensenced by hasbro (plus almost impossible to get one, let alone a complete set since one was shortpacked)

I own ALL Star Sabers and Energon sabers, including the one which came with ML Hotshot's giftset, and I can assure you that it must be a prototype, nothing less and nothing more. And yes, Stormsword is unoffical and itàs a custom, so you can happily paint one and claim it's original.

I have like six Armada Starscreams (and variants) that hold my star sabres, my megatrons hold reqiem blasters, I have so many shields I don't know what to do with them. But I have a whole curio devoted to Armada and another to hold minicons, and other TF's. One can never have too many Starscreams.

Next are the three minicons that cost me the most about $450, they arrived while I was at Botcon, the one on the right matched pretty well with them. I found him at Botcon and this mold is my favorite mold. My favorite all time minicon is Rotor - the green one in my sig with his backpack open so he can sit on his butt.

Again, congrats on getting the DGD team!
I didn't know what to do with my Shields too (all 8 of them, including the bagged Japanese release of the first Armada repaint), so I left the dvd shield in Armada Megatron's hand, the X-Dim. is basck in its packaging and the other 5 are connected to my Magna Jet Convoys.

2000 of them were made and distributed as part of a mail away campaign.

He's difficult to find for no particularly good reason, especially considering his high production numbers for a mini con.

[quote="Counterpunch"]Wedgeshape, Torque Gain, and Noise Effect finally arrived today.

Congrats on the haul, they were on my watch list but I did not bid on them.

rikkomba, I think I already have that wave 4 set. But I am not looking for the dragoyell for myself yet.

Now that I have that destruction team, I finally feel like a real minicon collector. There are still so many that I don't have.

Weren't you looking for the Requiem Blaster? That's Wave 4.
I think you didn't realize what you got: with the SGD team in your possession, you gave your collection a serious boost towards greatness! It's possible to find basically all minicons in a few months, but Dragoyell and the SGD team are the real challenges! Welcome to the club! ;-)

I really like the SGD team. I don't collect many mini-cons, but I would shell out the major cash for those ones.

I don't know why, but I seem to have an affinity for very rare Transformers.

Counterpunch has this minicon radar, that is how I got the SGD team. He posted the auction on Seibertron. It was a Japanese auction. You could only bid on it in Japan in yen.

Rare transformers are the most fun to collect. Unfortunately mine will have to be returned to the vault for safekeeping.

Yeah, I know where he found out about that auction, and if it ever comes up again I would like to be in the know.

Bidding through a Japanese auction is something that I haven't tried yet, I don't even know where to start, so it could be a very interesting collecting experience.

And if somehow I would manage to obtain one of those, the rest of the collecting could get easier. Except maybe that Dragoyell huh?

I too would like to be one of the 2,000 owners of Dragoyell.

How in the hell does everyone remember all of the japanese minicon names? I have a VERY hard time because well, I can only read English. The shameful secret is out!

Nice, but not a high priority for me. I still need to find the Halloween Emergency Team! Now them I need! Well, I wouldn't turn down the SGD team if they were given to me though.

I got mine for $130 + $20 shipping from Tempting toys. It had been partially opened I guess to look at Ultra MAgnus (overload). All the other parts were in twisty ties. But it was in prisitine condition,so a worthy purchase in deed.

And now Skowl is selling his set, so if anyone is interested, check them out here:

They are hard-to-find little buggers for you guys in the States, I should have picked up more of them when they were flooding the shelves at my local Toys R Us years ago.
