The whole piecemeal thing could be appealing. There have definitely been other third party releases of which I have thought, "Man, I like that part of it... but don't want to be paying for this other useless part!" But not at the prices CrazyDevy charges. For that price, I'd almost rather be getting some useless additional part I don't want... at least I'd feel I was paying for
something, rather then just massively overpaying for the part I did want.
If CrazyDevy either released more together at the same price points they now charge, or lowered their prices a bit (for example, maybe only charge $10 for these rather then $17?) then I might theoretically consider one of their releases someday. But the way they do things currently, I just don't see the appeal of their products.
As for this specific accessory, however...

I often disagree with a lot of what you say, Rated X. (And... well, occasionally think you're downright insane.) But I have to say, on this I agree with you completely. This add-on is pointless. It replaces Brawl's guns with... wait for it... two almost identical pieces that only make the most minor of cosmetic changes to his looks. What is the point, exactly? Where as your idea of a proper barrel that plugs into the existing Energon port is one of those ideas that, once expressed, seems so obvious that everyone should feel stupid for not having thought of it themselves, sooner.
