I did a look through this and other sites and noticed that outside of rereleased figures Gears hasn't been remade in any of the G1 centric lines. That got me thinking, what characters do you think needs a new figure?

ALL the Dinobots, GrimLock included...
ShockWave, SoundWave's cassettes(OverKill's awesome!).

Also, the movie Constructicons that aren't yet made need toys, Voyager class at least. Blackout could use a Leader and BoneCrusher a HUGE voyager.

And just for the fun of it, a HA Human sized Hatchling(someone else had the idea for slime with it...and this figure...).

I'm gonna focus on the word "need" here.

Soundwave, for instance, has his Label figure AND a reissue figure AND the War for Cybertron figure AND a Titnium AND an Animated AND a Cybertron figure ... maybe you might want a Label figure that can hold cassettes or some other form of perfection, but I think the "need" is gone.

Gears actually had a release in the Legends-sized version. Since he's a mini-bot and all, that works for me. So I dunno if "need" applies to him.

So figures that are needed that don't already have passable (IMO anyway) toys already.

We need an Alpha Trion. There is Botcon, but ... yeah, he's not quite filling the need for the average buyer.

Insecticons. The colors on these guys are amazing and I'm shocked we never had that one guy in Energon colored to match G1. I'd be happy with Scouts or Legends figures of these awsome little guys.

Blitzwing. Because Animated 'wing just isn't quite passable as a Classics. Although it does blunt the "need".

Gnaw / the Sharkticons. And, no, the new Botcon ones don't count in my book. They look nothing like the G1 design. Plus, again, exclucives.

"Classics" Sunstorm. We got Universe 1, Cybertron (Legends), Titanium, Animated ... WTF, guys? Just make a Classics version already!

Crossovers Galactus. I dunno about you guys, but I need him.

Jazz and Tracks. Although the movie redeco and Animated blunt the need for a new Jazz, I don't think that version of him is passable. Tracks also hasn't had a corresponding figure.

The Stunticons / Menasaur. Most of the entire toyline consists of delux cars and yet Menasaur is, somehow, unattainable. Realoly, exactly how hard would it be to make some of these guys turn into legs and arms? You know, with elbows too (unlike the Energon combiners). I know we've got some of these guys as individuals, but ... it's not really right is it?

Classics Thundercracker. Just make it. Just make it!

Trypticon as a large dinosaur. The character's become a joke and nowhere near the majesty of his original self. Or just re-release his original toy. That'd be fine.

Kup. I have the Botcon one, but I won't be selfish. Rodimus needs someone to tell him off for the folks who can't afford one.

Blaster. Assuming Label Blaster doesn't come out (delayed AGAIN!)

Reflector. I know people have been using Spectro as this guy, but it doesn't really do it for me. He looks nothing like him. Reflector doesn't even need to be a camera to me, but he really ought to have the "three in one" gimmick the original toy had for me to really buy it.

Snarl and Sludge. Animated did a good job with "Slag" and Swoop and we have Classics Grimlock, Animated Grimlock, MP Grimlock and Energon Grimlock, so while people may not think they're perfect the "need" is not there.

All those are what I got off the top of my head.

I agree with your list quite a lot. Especially Classics Thundercracker and Sunstorm. These are no-brainers, but it hasn't happened. Jazz needs a Classics release and so does tracks-these are two figures I just can't believe have not been released in the Classics line.

Actually, it would be a dream-come-true if Hasbro released a Classics/Universe Seekers set with every iteration of the mold........even though it will never happen.

Anyhow, I second Trypticon, and while he may not be able to be in scale, could they at least try to get him close? Classics seems to be more deluxe focused to me anyhow, a Supreme or Leader Trypticon doesn't sound like too much to ask....

Bonecrusher definately needs a Voyager to battle with Optimus on my shelf. If one doesn't ever come out I'll honestly be disappointed. Blackout Leader would be nice but I'd be okay without it I suppose, there will always be better leader candidates.

I will agree that I would very much like to see a Voyager Bonecrusher. Actually, that figure was one of my favorite movie molds, and it would definitely be nice to have it displayed with OP. The OP/Bonecrusher fight was one of the epic scenes of the first movie, and it would be cool to recreate it.

I could care less about Blackout though.

No he didn't, only Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Beachcomber, Cosmos, Warpath, Wheelie and Brawn did. He did get homaged in RotF as a repaint of Stockade in sliver, red and blue.

Tracks, Jazz, Wheeljack (Energon/Superlink is ok, but could be better), Trailbreaker and Reflector would be damn skippy!

Also a supreme-sized Trypticon to duke it out with Energon Omeba Supreme would be cool.

- Gears. Gotta love a whinging, misery like him. Good fun.
- Reflector. That transforms into a working camera.

I'd like a Supreme class baseformer. Not picky which, they were all ace.

Energon Shockwave blunts the need. I'd love it if they did make a new one (I don't really care for Energon Shocky), but the need has been blunted.

On Gears .... you're right, got mixed up with Brawn. That guy needs to be repainted. NOW. This ... I COMMAND!

Rodimus is another I thought of, but the Titanium blunts the need. And the Protector armor will blunt it further.

I'll second Xaaon. And Sky Lynx, although the G1 toy is very nice, things like the tail and how Sky sits on Lynx could be better.

You know what'd be nice? Non-Arcee recolors of Alpha Trion's "Angels", Elieta 1, Chromia, and Moonracer.

You know, I can't believe I forgot about him, but ... Perceptor. Seriously, he was quite the mainstay!

His G1 figure is actually pretty perfect, but he could seriously use a new face. When I look at his face, I just don't see Perceptor. So Perceptor ... or just an overpriced 3rd party add-on.

I could do without the working aspect since it would likely be a sub-mediocre camera at a premium price.

And Alternators Shockwave. I have Alt. Shocky next to henkei Voyager Megs and it works quite nicely. He's not a tank nor a laser gun, but the bot mode is pretty sweet.
