And when Christopher Plummer won, my mom turned to me and said "Do you know who Christopher Plummer is?"
"Who? Who? Who? Who?!"
"The Sound of Music."
"......No. No. NO. That guy?! This is his first time winning an Oscar?! He's so old!"

Shockwave only had himself to blame though, who makes a bunch of bored Decepticons wait two weeks for a mission briefing?

To be fair, and as much as I'm also a massive Transformers nerd I'm a realist, and DOTM was pretty awful. It had almost no redeeming features except possibly Rosie Huntingdon-superboobs (or whatever her name was).
Also, when you consider that Jonny Depp is yet to win an Oscar for anything ever, you can pretty much discount the academy's opinion as utter nonsense if that makes you feel any better?

How bad? Rate it from Ben Stein (1) to Gary Busy (10), please.

What is this I don't even.
I liked DOTM, it was lightyears better than ROTF, but not as good as the first one. I guess it is just me being picky as I love the G1 show, but I must say how I need a better Shockwave. Plain + Simple.
I am not so apt to pick up Rosie Huntinton-Whitley as Carly, however I gotta say, if I saw the prologue to DOTM I think a lot more people would pick up DOTM like they did with TFTM

Depp is quite versatile, just like Hugh Jackman. Going from Wolverine to a very believable Gay Guy, to a Robot Boxer really shows your versatility.
I gotta say, Depp is rather tight casted on being a drunk.

No argument there, I enjoyed DOTM much more than ROTF, I just wouldn't go so far as to say it was a 'good' movie. Its no Blade Runner or Star Wars (ep 4-6 only!).
Unfortunately, if other comic-style franchise movies are any indication, we've at least 10 years and 3 or 4 reboots before they finally give up, give the directing job to an actual fan and finally get it right.

You gotta account for the difference between real-life time and game time. Two weeks for us isn't two weeks waiting in the game for the characters involved.
And that's fine. Decepticons are Decepticons for a reason. When the underlings get unruly, the whips come out

That happened to me. I was stupid enough to have one of my canon characters smart mouth Hun-Grrr, and he nearly got killed. 'Cons are fickle like that.

Yep, Psych just got his third beating in 3 weeks from Soundwave not 2 hours ago, and I have no doubt there will be plenty more to come too.

I have no doubt that Michael Bay is a Transformer Fan. Same with Spielberg. Otherwise, I doubt that they would have done the movie in the first place if they didn't like Transformers to some degree.
For instance, I would not put my name on a My Little Pony movie. I would, however, put my name on a Halo, Transformers, Minecraft, Star Trek or Pokemon movie.

If only! Bay had never even heard of the Transformers before he was asked to direct the movie and Spielberg had to be convinced to produce it by his kids.#Sideways# wrote:I have no doubt that Michael Bay is a Transformer Fan. That's why what we see on screen bears so little resemblance to what we all remember, the people making the films had no 'fond memories' to work from.

Warpath I don't have a problem; he went in just after Hardhead and was just as bad, if not slightly worse shape, so he won't come out until right after Hardhead. But Saferoute wasn't in as bad a shape as either and she went in right after them; has enough time passed and I let her out on my next post (either tonight or tomorrow morning), or should I wait a little longer?

I usually wait until everyone posts. I don't know if that is correct or not.
