On a side note, this RPG's approach is really interesting. I haven't really skimmed the threads other than Garrus-9, and it's pretty darn cool not knowing everything that's happening. It limits my knowledge to Umbra's. Makes me feel, I don't know, closer.

Though, I'm probably going to have to read a whole new thread if she ever gets off Garrus-9 . Not that I'd really mind.

Yeah. It's a bit different from the old RPG I was posting in where the posts were all in one thread and everyone knew what was going on from both sides. This take is very intriguing. I'm tempted to read all of the threads, but I won't until I'm involved in them. If I move to a new location, I am going to need some background information to post. So, yeah.

Whoo! Fourth post into Garrus-9! I was constantly editing this one over the day. I think I worry over my posts too much. I just want them to be good. And, well, this wasn't for a while. Still not sure of it. But then, if I waited around until I thought it was perfect, it would be irrelevant. Because that would be never.

As for character pictures, I can't really draw so prefer to photoshop and recolour existing ones, I'll post a few that I did for the characters I use here in a bit.

I just felt particularly inspired. I can never find the motivation to draw if my muse doesn't want me to. My muse is rather fickle. It can jump from drawing to writing to ready any time it wants. Or it can like all three. It's bothersome sometimes.

Perhaps...Perhaps not. You won't know until you meet her. Or spoil it for yourself by just reading the Garrus-9 thread.

I haven't revealed the reason yet though. I prefer nice and steady character development. Mostly, I'm just really glad Wreck'n'Rule decided to notice her. I'm a huge fan of character interaction.

I think I'll enjoy the Garrus 9 thread once I can get going too.

Take Contemptor for example, you say he's a tank former but what style? Warpath, Hardhead, Brawl, Stalker?

If you can visualise a character it may be easier to write for him.

You could just try it. I use some of that visualizing too. It gets me more into character. Knowing how they move actually helps. Even if you don't know exactly what they look like, knowing how they move and talk usually helps.

That's what I'm getting at. I'm the sort of person who has to 'see' what I'm doing no matter what I'm trying to do achieve, and it makes doing imagining what's going on in this far easier

BB, I'm gonna try and help you out here. What colours are Vindicator and Contemptor? I imagine Vin to be black/silver and Temps to be Brown/Olive, is that right?

I actually drew a character adaption of GlaDOS. I named her Aperture.

Sadly Psych is a recolour of a Frenzy I found via a google search ages ago so I didn't draw that myself, I'd like to know who did though, its a great cassette template and I'd kill
For a repent like that. Mal's pic is a modified First-Aid from Dreamwaves MTMTE run with the front fender from Outback (I think) rotated and placed on top to give him a darker more 'hooded' look. Really good fun to make these.
Ive got a load more, most of my HMW team have been 'shooped up at one point or another. I'll show you them tomorrow.

They do look pretty cool Psych. I'd love to see the rest too. As you said, the problem with femmes is that there's almost no source material. I did have references for Umbra, but I had to look at War for Cybertron Arcee. I also took a look at the only other WFC fembot, Slipstream, but her design didn't exactly suit my purposes since she's a jet...not a car or motorcycle.

I know, at first I did, but I looked it from their point of view and how hard they made this. Guess it took a while since I was doing another tf rpg.

Close with the colours psycho...

Contemptor is black and purple with chrome accents, and Vindicator is black and red with gold accents.

If you go to the custom character profiles bit you'll see Contemptor's alt mode, and Vindicator has links to his visual alt modes.

Is this the sort of thing you had in mind?
Contemptor (really not happy with the fists, purple worked better)
Vindicator (My kind of colour scheme as you'll see below...)

Both are quick and dirty 'Shoops and I've used Micromaster templates that match the alts you list specifically so you don't look like a generic G1 tank/"Prime clone" (a reoccurring theme in HMW, especially amongst Autobots) and you cant see the scale so their canon size is irrelevant. Hopefully these give a good indication of what you imagined your dudes to be like unless you had a particular character base in mind?
P.S. "Chrome"??! You any idea how ****ing hard it is to do Chome in a recolour?!

These are the originals: Primal Fear, Evil the Car, Jet Black, Hard Wired and, of course, Mal Practice.
You may notice a theme in the robot styles I have chosen for the characters, this is why. Shame Combiners will never happen in HMW. I even kitbashed this based on these 5.
(Jet Black was killed off ages ago and I've never bothered to replace him)

These 3 were done more recently.
Nemesis Wheelie, Zombi Cheerleader and Parasite to be used as broadcasters for the Christmas tourney we just had, found here. Its what made me want to get back into the RPG as I realised I was getting rusty when writing the blurbs for it.

The others I'm yet to do, but Ill get around to them eventually.

With time, I'm confidant most people learn to appreciate the level of detail that has gone in to making this haunt. It's what lured me in originally.

Give it enough time, interaction and effort and I think you'll find that this place offers one of the richest RP experiences you can find on the internet. All with transforming robots, no less. Who'da thunk?

(This coming from a guy who's been around the block, to say the least )
