Quick note after seeing sumo's post w/ Nosecone- Strafe is still in the shuttle bay, strapped to a chair, presumably in a shuttle. Dunno if someone wants to do something with that. He's not going to be obvious as Tentakil put him somewhere that was... not so obvious?

This doesn't happen all that often, but a couple of command-level, powerful characters are being made available for application: Ultra Magnus and Thunderwing.

Both are very integral to the plotting for their respective sides, especially as Ultra Magnus is the acting Autobot Commander and Thunderwing is definitely an influential mech within the upper echelon of the 'Con ranks.

These characters are open to application by anyone interested. The application period will be open for one week. Next weekend, the mods will assess all applications that have been submitted and reassign the characters accordingly. It goes without saying--but I'm going to say it anyway--that characters of this level have higher posting expectations that come along with them and will be monitored. If you're approved to play either of them and your activity levels drop off noticeably--or completely--expect to lose them. That's true for all characters, but particularly on the higher end. That being said, they're both really fun to write. I simply have enough on my plate as it is and have no desire to continue covering them when I have other responsibilities.

Any application for either of the two above-mentioned characters will need to have a have a sample post included, as it will be one piece of what we look at when reassigning them.

I think It's wonderful they're both applicable for. I like Thunderwing more than Ultra Magnus, but I don't think I'll apply for either. I'm waiting on my fanmade to get a yes or no, so I'll have plenty to do right there with those three. I'll hold off on any further apps until a later date. The game is certainly fun though.

If I understood Sid right, all of the owner's previous characters are up for grabs and not just the two selectively mention. Would it be safe to say that only Ultra Magnus and Thunderwing will need sample posts while the rest do not? I know this wasn't easy for the mods since the player had been a very long term player who had earned great deal of respect.

Here is his list of characters. I think everyone but Nova Strike is canon. I'm not sure about Flareup since I've yet to hear about the character. I know Ironfist is actually on the Ark right now. All of the Garrus 9 characters are on the Semper Tyranus as captives. I'm not sure where Scoop is at but Trion is probably good bet or on Earth working on the base in Peru.

I know today is technically the last day to apply for Magnus and Thunderwing. I strongly urge if you are even half way considering applying for either or both to go for it. You might be afraid they are beyond your capabilities. You might be right or the mods may believe in you so much they will award you the character(s). There been a few characters I've never considered until the mods suggested them to me like Hot Spot. I'll admit I always found a niche with special team members with my roster being proof of itself. As Sid said in his post, both Magnus and Thunderwing have a lot of potential and influence.
Magnus has the immediate influence while Thunderwing can have influence and certainly tons of potential if the player half way follows canon timeline with the character.

In theory you can pick the members of the Mayhem Attack Squad and the first Pretenders with a little mod guidance on the Pretenders. I would expect the shells to be built one at a time though due to story development and resources.

As for Magnus, being temporary supreme Commander can be intimidating even for the character himself. It is unknown how long Megatron and Optimus Prime will be unfit to return to command. Even after Prime returns to complete normal, Magnus will still play a solid role in the leadership even if he is "just a solider".

Question: Can I make a few cosmetic changes ( none of his stats will be changed) and add some more info about the character in my Amethyst app? Also could I give him a few more common seeker weapons so he's not constantly relying on Plasma Flamethrowers that are known to jam and explode?
