Prime arrived alone. Just have Hound already on planet in the Mess Hall with the others.

Cool. I was going to lift the ones from the Dark Legacy archives and doctor them up so they're legible. Do you want me to PM them to one of you Mods?

Tomorrow I leave for Vietnam until Mar. 7 I will try to stay up to date while I'm gone, but the story isn't moving too fast right now anyway. You might not even notice me gone. ;)

Newbie, you did just fine in your first few posts! No one could really interact with you though because you didn't try to interact with anyone else. Right now you got Mix in the Decepticon Briefing room with a butt-ton of other 'cons. Try some interaction there (before Megatron arrives) It'll be a good way to get your feet wet and meet some other people in the game.

I got a question for Reflector. I want to try and post a profile and play for my beloved background scene filler. I mean aventually the Dinobots will be in and they need someone to pound on right?

Is it a necessity that Reflector stays a camera? That is a pretty crappy alt mode. Someone tried before as a news van, I rather liked that idea.

Are any other modes acceptable. A satellite? Computer? Or maybe three seperate modes? A camera, computer, and I-pod? SOmething along those lines? I just want to get him a more modern for before posting an app. Maybe something mobile?

He can have a different alternate mode within reason. He should still combine however.

On behalf of the staff I want to apologize for the lack of play. I, myself have been quite busy with a new job and a 2 year old. Things have just gotten away from us lately. We will be working to move the game along this weekend. Until then feel free to interact with your fellow RPers.

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm still alive in kicking still. Haven't posted anything with Ratchet with regards to being done with Jazz in a while since it hasn't been long enough in game time.

Glad to hear the game'll pick up soon :) .

I'd like to implore everyone to try their best to post at least once a week. A game like this needs each and everyone of you!

Also, I'd like to hear suggestions about how to make the game more interesting and easier to approach.

And as an announcement: Starscream is now open to be applied for.

telling people whats wrong in 1 or 2 posts, rather than making people post 5 or 6 times. i keep an eye on peoples applications and noticed they have to post 5 or 6 sometimes to get approved, and its normally because of multiple problems but they're only told about 1 at a time....

also relaxing a little on the grammer issue. i understand that you guys are trying to run a serious and in depth rpg here, but relax on the spelling and grammer a little bit. i'm not saying let illiteracy run rampant, and don't use punctuation at all. i'm just saying make it more approachable to people. having to get a spellcheck program to play a text based rpg isn't worth it to alot of people.

i actually like the restriction on fan characters, making people prove they can play before they make up a custom character.

I think just encouraging people to post a little more frequently would do it for me personally... otherwise you can get kind of stuck waiting until someone can reply to your post.

Name_Violation: Eh... I think that mostly applies to people who don't speak English natively. Anyone who does speak English natively shouldn't require any effort to write it properly enough for this RP, IMHO. Plus IE, Opera, and FF all have spellcheck add-ons that spellcheck right in the browser. I like the current standards, as it means I don't have to spend time deciphering slackly written posts (to figure out what the person meant).

I do think explaining the requirements for applying better would make things more accessible.

FWIW...

IE has http://www.iespell.com/

Opera 9 has http://aspell.net/ (Opera 10 will have it built-in.)

FF3 has spell-check built-in.

No clue about Safari or whatever browser Linux comes with, though.

Thank you Jeysie for information regarding spellcheckers, that should be helpful for many people.

Personally, I do not use spellcheckers or have never required anyone to use them but some effort needs to be put into one's writing. For example, English is not my native language and while I admit I make mistakes - I try my best to keep my writing easy to read.

It is to be admitted that our way of dealing with applications needs some shaping up. Problem is somewhat in our own attitudes as repeating same things over and over again does grow rather frustrating. And what comes to our existing instructions, if you have something to add to make them clearer, I will gladly listen.

Less lurking, more posting! ;;)

This is just my two cents, but I definitely feel that there needs to be more posting from all involved. Otherwise, players are going to lose interest in the game. Problem is that there's only so much you can do with characters that are stuck inside their bases. Sure there was a small skirmish early on and then the Palin raid, which were fun. But, the 'bots and 'cons have yet to get into a big battle where we can post a lot. We have some info from Prime and Megs but the actual mission to Area 51 hasn't begun yet. So, I think a lot of people are simply waiting for the mission, and hopefully a battle, to begin. The storyline needs to progress a little faster than it currently is IMO.

With that said, I did post for a couple of my characters tonight. Although, I didn't post for Trailbreaker because I'm waiting for Prime to respond to his volunteering to remain behind in the base. Hope that's okay.

As for the Decepticons, I'm taking Skywarp to the training room where Mixmaster is. I think it may be a good idea for most of the 'cons to head there so there's something to do and to post until the mission begins. We can spar with one another for practice and fight drones and whatnot. What do you guys think?

Overall, I really want this game to succeed and continue. But like Cryhavok said, it will take all of us to make that happen. Granted life gets in the way sometimes and that's understandable. But, if we all work together and try to post more often, then the game will pick up and be more successful.

Now that I've cleared up some personal issues I'm thinking of applying for reflector again.

Any advice?. I had originally opted for a spy satellite device, but looked over old stuff and found it had been declined before. I had opted for a inner atmosphere satellite thing (see my old attempt). Any advice on an updated alt mode?

I have to agree with Smokescreen GT. It seems there are always alot of people waiting on replies from others. We could write posts that are less dependent on others to move the story, but I think that takes out most of the fun. Currently, Soundwave is waiting on Stryfe's reply and Brawn for Optimus'. GOt lots of good stuff planned once things get going.

In response to Name Violation. The U2 or Aurora spyplane might make a decent alt mode for Reflector. It would make him very useful as a spy but would have little value on the battle field, much like his camera alt mode with more mobility.

Yeah, I like interactive posting/RPing the best (certainly that's the most fun part of the RPs I'm in elsewhere), but that's hard to pull off when the people you're trying to interact with don't post for a long while.

I agree with oppinions posted here. We need to get people posting in a timely fashion so that way we don't get hung up for weeks as people wait for others to respond so they can do something. Additionally things in the overall story need to happen faster as well. Since we started months ago most of the Autobots have spent their time just hanging around their base doing idle things not really related to the story that is being worked on. Bottom line; we need things to move.
