So, here's a random question:

With all the Transformer media representations out there, which do you think best suits the style of this RP community? Let's leave the nuances of story and character portrayal aside - I'm just thinking of the visuals.

I'm a big fan of the look of the "Fall of Cybertron" game. The Transformers Prime cartoon had a great stylized feel. Heck, I even really enjoyed the cartoon-y "Transformers: Animated" series.

What world do you guys see when you picture your RP, here?

I would suspect and generally agree with the idea that most of the players and Game Masters prefer the story of the current comic universe from IDW. Its dark, its edgy, and it actually takes the time to develop characters. Fall of Cybertron can be a great resource for personalities though, especially for characters like Warpath, Cliffjumper and even some of the Dinobots like Swoop. But as I said, the primary story is based loosely on the IDW Universe.

I agree. This game does very much seem to be around the IDW sort of feel. and now that Waspinator has an appearance, he's totally canon now

I personally am enjoying Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron. Typically, you can guess that a character appeared in G1 that he would have the same personality through the G1-based games (Hasbro came out and said it before, it's G1) and IDW (also G1 based) that they would have the same personalities and such, or at least loosely based upon them.

An Autobot could be next for me, Ember. It very well could be!

I'm thinking I might have a 'Con OC brewing in my mind, sumo, so maybe an Autobot would be a good choice. Not only will it give me some variety regarding my roster, but Marcus and yourself have made persuasive cases for the gentlemen of the Transformers.

But alas -- yes, I said alas -- it's back to the character roster list where I'll stare at it until someone catches my eye.

A great way to refine your personal search is to determine what sort of personality trait you are looking for.

I'm thinking about rolling the Seeker engineer Bitstream. Anyone want to play his partner in crime Hotlink?

On another note, Sleek, Marcus is right. If you name one personality trait Marcus and I can narrow down the list of Autobots with a list that could possibly be longer than what you were looking at before. We love to help, so don't hesitate. Marcus has been dying for some new bot blood...so I've decided to help him out. I promise to only suggest autobots. Maybe. Sometimes.

True, then again the same is said for nearly all Decepticons. I have made a reputation on developing the perfect matchups, course those players tend to depart because of stuff, but alas that's not my fault. I do my job

For ye lads that have the FOC game still, anyone up for playing it with me for a bit? Maybe even some of the WFC campaign if you like and you still have it. I have FOC for both the PS3 and the Xbox (don't ask) so no troubles with either. I think I only have WFC for xbox though.

Okay, so I've finally decided on my next character.

I like the look of Groove and feel potential there; however, I want to test the waters with him and would rather NPC him at first rather than throw out a full application for the guy.

Would that be all right? And do I need a sample post for an NPC character?

That's more than alright! The Protectobots have needed some love for a while now. I'm sure sumo would welcome the addition. And you generally don't need a sample post for an NPC, but you do need to apply via the New Character Applications thread!

Sorry for my recent absence! I am currently writing an excess of 3,500 words a day on average, and my word count is a grand total of 31,800 words as of today! WHOO! But yeah, I am sorry I haven't been around recently, I will return later this month, however.

@Fox: I could go up for a few games of FoC! I don't know any sort of time tables, however, but I would definitely go for it!

I would most definitely appreciate having Groove around. The Protectobots will be in play now once we get to planet side.
