After a quick chat with Cry, I have created this:
List of available canon characters - 18/12/14
Taken from the roster and role-call combined.

There are many contradictions in both threads though, so I will be sorting these all out over the coming week or so. Please can you all ensure your personal role-call threads are up fully up to date ASAFP.


Any characters on this list that shouldn't be, or vice versa, yell up.

So I've done a very thorough inspection of the roll call lists to the roster and found that a few people have not been updating their roll calls. Tsk, tsk.

These chaps are:

Marcus Rush who needs to add Thunderwing, Thundercracker, and his NPC Bonecrusher. Lots of thunder there.

Mazinman who needs to add Talon as an NPC, Graphy, Noise, Decibel, and Roulette.

MSB who needs to add Beastbox, Squawktalk, Squawkbox and Rumble as full PCs. Unless they aren't. In which case, let somebody know.

Sumowrestler who needs to add Nosecone and remove Blades.

And CombaticonsCombine who needs to add Laserbeak and Seawing.

Thanks for the reminder to update the list. I did add Nosecone and removed Blades and clarified the Protectobots some.

Damnit, Sidney! Didn't you just have a birthday last year? Ugh!

I have a favor to ask of the community. If you are getting the two ongoing TF comics from IDW, please let me know what is going on. I am going to be picking them up from my LCS (Vintage Stock) starting probably in March. I don't like to be completely lost so a summary be nice.

I certainly encourage reading the comics. But a synopsis of what all has happened in the various series' is probably a pretty tall order. I'd probably hit up tfwiki first.

I used to review the comics here for Siebertron so I'll give you a (very abridged) version of what I can remember, expect a metric f*ckton ton of spoilers.

Almost exactly 3 years ago the comics split into 2 lines; More Than Meets the Eye (MTME) and Robots in Disguise (RiD).

MTMTE was an ensemble-style space adventure starring Rodimus, Ultra Magnus and a crew of previously-underused Autobot characters (and Cyclonus). Very comedic in style, it covers some of the best storylines modern transformers has seen (IMO), including the inception of the DJD and the first actual full 'relationship' between two characters. The entire series was very much a welcome departure from the usual good vs evil war story mechanic the franchise has had for the last 30 years.
Then Chaos happened, and they all came back to Cybertron.

RiD on the other hand was a much drier but more typical Transformers line. The war was over, Prime quit and Bumblebee was left in charge of Cybertron and it all goes horribly wrong for him. This line focused mainly on Prowl, Arcee and Starscream with cameo's from many of the other decepticons and wheeljack, but was mainly driven around Bumblebees total ineptitude as a leader, and Starscreams unstoppable desire to rule. This line is responsible for the addition of another 3 fembots (guardians of Metroplex), and for the RIDICULOUS notion that PROWL could take over from Scrapper as the final member of the Contructicons.
TheN Chaos happened, and it ended with Bumblebee dead and Starscream still in charge of Cybertron.

Then a whole bunch of 'Chaos' things happened around the same time, roughly connected to each other.

Both Prime and Megatron returned.
Shockwave tried to destroy the universe.
The Dead Universe did its thing and it all went to ****.
Dead universe was defeated, as was Shockwave.
Lots of dead characters came back to life (except Scrapper who is still dead.)

Then there was a trial and...

Megatron joined the Autobots (yeah, WTF, right?)

Now its back to two lines.

MTMTE blasted off again, this time with Megatron as part of the crew, and are currently off time-travelling.

And the other line, back to being just 'Transformers', is back on Earth picking up from where the Spike Whitwicky/Blackwatch/fleshbag stuff was going on back in the days of Escalation and such, with Galvatron now running the decepticons who have 'allied' with the humans.


Obviously I have missed a ton out as that's a 3 year summary in a few lines, but that's what I can remember off the top of my head. I'm sure the others will correct me if I'm wrong or have missed a bit.

I was able to catch the whole Dead Universe thing and that Megatron turned into an Autobot. I also know there were a ton of one shots in the past several years.

In that case you're pretty much up to date, just dive on in.

Ooookay. It's been 5 weeks since my surgery and I wound up breaking yesterday. That is to say I went to the gym and rode...did it again today. Felt good to get out of the house...since I was going batshit.

Getting out is great for me, but that means things are going to be getting busy. I've two launches coming up...one in mid January and the other the end of January. I need to practice for both...thankfully I know 5 out of 7 tracks for the mid January launch but the other I know 1 track out of 10. I need to get my ass in gear since I'll be covering for a month for another instructor and I'll need to know the new release.

What's this mean? I'm glad you asked. It means my posting will be very, very sporadic..instead of slightly sporadic.

I'll do my best to keep up as much as possible, just don't expect posts every week. Sorry, in advance, for the inconvenience.

I've been thinking about getting into the comics but as I've now seen, I've got a wee bit of reading to catch up on before I'm up-to-date. Hmm... I really should give the comics a whirl one day.

That is the question of the century.. no one knows the answer... (everyone's just sort of shooting at a guy who looks like Hot Rod but acts like a demigod... so kind of personality wise no difference.. just an impenetrable shield).

Right now, 99% of the story is happening on Earth, Australia, we're trying to kill the Fallen who's taken over Hot Rod's body. All the big names are there currently. That's why Fox suggested it, it would be the logical place for Bee.

My recommendation, based solely on intuition, would be to have Bee report to the Autobot leadership there and one of the players will be able to guide you to where you need to be. Being that I am playing a Decepticon on a special team, I can't really say what a darned filthy Autobot should really be doing except running from my heat seekers.

So are you saying Bumblebee should contact one of the high ranked Autobots that he has made it to Australia and is trying to defeat the Fallen?

Something like that yes. Maybe find a group of bots to chill with. A lot of injured and not injured are in the Autobot shuttles Serenity and Longevity right now. That's a good place to start. Contacting Prowl will most certainly get you orders.
