Yeah. Hot Rod is good design. An awesome improvement from G1. Especially that, he's in Wave1, the initial impact is immense.

But i think they can improve him more, if he were to be done now in 2.0.

I'd rather have other new toys designed, instead of improving existing ones, as Auto Bot mentioned above, Hot Rod has a very good designed, as http://www.bwtf.com reviewed him:

"Final Thoughts:
Quite simply, this is the best version of "Hot Rod" ever cast in plastic. Rodimus has fantastic sculpting, a fun transformation that does not replicate those of his predecessors and he is quite posable. Even on his own (without comparison to others) he is a dynamic looking figure with play potential. All t his chalks him up as highly recommended in my book."

Still thinks he lacks articulation unfortunately

Weapon: Concussion Blaster Gun
Does anyone think that we'll get a couple more Dinobots with this next installment?
Or will they be within the Animated line?

Either way I'll be happy, but part of me thinks I'd be happier if they just go ahead and make all of them in the Animated style.

We'll get 3 Dinobots in Animated Including Grimlock and Slag. I'm not sure who the third one is though.

We already have Grimlock in Classics, So we might get the other 2 that aren't in animated in classics.

We have seen a design for Animated Swoop already, so I'd figure for Swoop in Animated and maybe Snarl and Sludge in Classics 2.0/ Universe.

And Ultra Magnus is getting a new mold in Animated, so I would count him out of Classics 2.0/Universe.

We have?

Wow, how did I miss that one?
I immediately went to google and found a couple of pics of the Animated designs for Swoop, Ultra Magnus, and Sentinel..

Looks interesting, however I'm totally digging Magnus and Sentinel.

The designs have potential, that's fer damn sure.

And now with the episode with the dinobots on yesterday (Sat. January 12th) included Grimlock, Swoop and Slag, all of whom had great colors and designs, IMHO, it's pretty damn certain Swoop will not be in early Universe.

I haven't seen the Animated episode with Dinobots in it.

So they look like "classics"?

Yes.

From an interview with Don:
TFW2005: Are you involved in the design process of any upcoming Transformers lines like Classics 2.0? What were the last toys you were involved in that have been produced?

Don Figueroa: I recently did concept art for two deluxes and two smaller bots for Classics 2.0. The last toy that I helped on that was produced was WW Grimlock, and I think I'm the only one to have received a copy that got past the prototype stage, but I'm sure there's more at Hasbro.

Sorry, but I think you are incorrect, that was the titanium design that was shown way before they ever said anything about Classics 2.0/Universe.

I think it was actually a unused concept sketch for classics 1, then it got as far as being made as a prototype for titanium before the line was cancelled. While I would like to see it in classics I doubt it will be because Hasbro didn't think a flying saucer in packaging would sell well (I think they said that at a Con' way back).

Anyone thinking the italian job would be suitable now? As in, a couple of Brits with fast cars, minis and a bus? Because I sure am.

Wow how complicated is to have this settle, if you look at some web's, that was a Titanium prototype never released of course... but!... if you look and analyze the Cosmos picture, it looks more, say, "complicated" design and transformation than any Titanium toy. This is just the way I am seeing it, and based on Don's comments... what about a Voyager sized Cosmos.... OH NO!

Say Cosmos could be as the Bumblebee Classic size... that sounds interesting, indeed the design is good, I did not realized that, but once you look at it closely you see that it has potential, mostly after the G1 version

I personally liked the molds presented with the exception of Arcee. Girl looks like she has a thyroid problem, and I wasn't to fond of Shockwaves Head but if that was corrected then I would probably buy one. Cosmos the size of a classics Bumblebee would rock.
