DAY-UM...

Are you guys thinking that Galvatron may actually be in this next wave!?!?!

Now that would make this line really awesome!!!!

And here's another question--

Realistically, how many more waves/figures (however you want to calculate it) do you think Hasbro will release in the Universe Classics????

That will depend on the success of the initial wave. And also on the success of the Allspark and Animated series.

Right on, I was just asking people to estimate how far it will go.
Even if you take that stuff into consideration.

What would you do if the entire first wave is all combaticons and nothing else.

The only repaint we'll see of Classics Megatron is the TT version.

Also, Galvatron won't be in the first wave on Universe.

I'm really not sure if they will drop the rest of the Combaticons in Universe. I'm not even sure the Onslaught we've seen is a combiner.

Re: Classics 2.0

I think this Classics 2.0/Universe line will do a stop and go. Whenever there's something hot, like TF2, they'd stop and take a back seat. When things died down, they'd pick up the pace again.

Just like the role of Classics 1.0. A gap-filler.

So we can expect Classics 2.0 to be around for a very long time, albeit in a piecemeal fashion.

Classics has the potential to go a long way. There were hundreds of characters to revive. And they will always be attractive to fans, especially the original G1 fans.

It's just natural Hasbro will use this line to prop up any sagging seasons in their toylines.

I have to agree with you on this, and I think it is a great way for Hasbro to keep their Transformer line alive and kicking. I think Classics 2.0 has a lot of potential considering how many characters there are from the G1 series and toy line and comics, also considering that we got Combiners, Pretenders, the various master types, they can do a lot of stuff with this line.

You are right, we are just guessing and dreaming... but wouldn't it be nice? personal example, since Classic toy line was first released, I am hoping to see Jazz and the twins... two out of three after two years, I guess is fine, there are some many cool characters still that could be use? Hound... Hoist, I mean! too many!

does "clapping" introduce anything informative to the topic at hand? because i have the telling assumption that spam includes posts that do not contribute to the information pertaining to the thread's overall flow of discussion.

As much as I hope you're right, I have my doubts about how far this line will go,
simply because
I don't know how willing I think Hasbro is to please fans.
The mass market of consumers isn't necessarily going to jump at some of the older, slightly obscure characters.
Especially with the big push of resurgence of interest coming from the movie, and that style of TF's.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting every character possible it's due in plastic.
While some of us would love to see Grapple, or Hoist, realistically, will these sell WELL to the general public?

I guess I'm trying to keep my excitement in check...

It can actually be beneficial to see such popular characters as Jazz and Ironhide be pushed into future production.

By that time, toys would inevitably have improved even further. More details, more articulation, more realism, more technology.

A classic example is Classics Hot Rod. It's a tremendous big leap from its G1 original toy. But what if he were to be designed now? He would have been even much better.

Another example is the MP toyline. Look at the very first MP. Although quite an achievement, but it now pales compared to the Skywarp mold.

You're absolutely right.
BUT,
my questions are how much detail, and how much of an involved transformation does a character like Ironhide need??
If anything, the concern imo is the engineering, and making sure that what's suppose to happen (with the transformation) truly happens without glitches,
not that it has to be complicated.
