Not bad I suppose, at least I could probably recognize him as some version of Soundwave without having prior knowledge of what I was looking at.

Kind of crummy and flimsy looking, if you ask me. I don't care for the design at all. Reminds me of the terrible Megatron design from the movie.

Me likey!!! It's clearly a Soundwave version that G1ers can recognize, but it's entirely new. I'm thinking it's a protoform or Cybertronian mode. Wish it was black though...then it'd be near perfect...and sinister as hell

Wow what a hunk of crap if it's not just a protoform type deal. Looks nothing like what it should. Not that I want a tape deck or a van with an oversized guitar but damn give us something that isnt garbage or a Megs repaint with more crap attached to his ass.

I do see alot of Vector Prime in the design, with the disc on his chest and the gears at his hips and the "nosecone" down his back. Fitting with his Decepticon symbol face.

perhaps its a Fast Action Battler?.. im not sure if that particular line is continuing with ROTF... its either that or very small in size class.. but your right... it does look very simple :-?

I really do like the look of this figure and I'll probably get it however, it doesn't quite work as Soundwave for me but I think it's pretty obvious it'll be his Cybertronian mode. It's at least better than a lamp post and here's hoping we will get a rockin' Earth mode (bad pun).

If it's a fast action battler, I will kill Hasbro and Michael Bay because those things sucked as much as Unleashed (well, almost). I think, like everyone else has been saying, that it will be a preview figure like the protoform Prime and Starscream we got last year (which for some reason, despite looking cool, I have still not picked them up. Since the movie toys still linger and New Zealand is finally getting Premiums - yes, we have been hardcore restocked on older movie figures, harder to find ones and some Premiums like Barricade, Jazz, Bumblebee and Leader Megatron, I might pick up some more and get the Protoforms for customising).

All I know is that he is going to look freaking EPIC in June. Holy crap, at least I know now that no matter what happens in the movie, one of the best g1 characters is going to be brutal, can't wait! He is going to translate so well on to the screen.

At least he has a decent looking head but the body just looks like crap. Im guessing thats his cybertronian mode. I just hope his earth mode is a dark blue cause that color there is horrible.

Maybe all the haters will get lucky and this guys turns out to be a TFU 2.0 Optimus Primal Bat lol, seriously though it looks good. It does sadden me though that Baricade got Frenzy and if this does turn out to be soundwave, hes got no little crazy bastard in his chest :sad:

...im sorry. right now it looks like pure crap. i dont see where you ppl are saying he looks like soundwave.....he looks nothing like any version of soundwave....his face doesnt look like soundwave. infact to me his face/head looks like an evil prime. i hope to god this isnt soundwave....so far EPIC FAIL!!!!! and his fists are horrible. they look like big old punching gloves.
