Note: Please read the following post in your best New York accent.
Alright youz guyz, lets take a little tour behind the scenes of the biggest city in da US.
New York is a bustlin' town, and dees sky scrapers ain't gonna build demselves.
You know what I'm sayin'?
Big jobs like dis, take big tools like dees.
AAAAAA! NEW YORK IS #1!!!!!
My name is Grapple, an' my patrol is New York City. I live in d'Bronx.
I was stationed here back in da early 80's. When I'm not helping the little Earth folks build deir dreams, I'm working hard to defend dier American dream. Freedom! Da right of all da sentient bein's.
I can blast Cons like nobody's buidness.
Always ready to move quick and jump in da action to defend these kind humans from the tyranny of the Decepticons.
I'm not the only Autobot in town neider. I got a lot a uder guys here too.
Meet some da boys.
Dis here is my best bud, Artfire. I spend most my time in da boroughs, but his beat is Manhatten. When he's not bustin' Deceptichops wit me, he's stays busy curatin' his fancy shmancy art gallery over in Soho.
He might come off as a bit of a powder puff, but make no mistake, he is one tuff cookie!
Me an' Arty also been lookin' after our buddy Inferno's kid, Inferno Jr. We call him Infintino.
HA! He's a good kid.
We get all kinds here in New York. An' some times some real unsavory types. You gotta look out for punk Cons, like this one right here.
Dis joik rolled inta town and started runnin' his mouth like he owned da joint.
Sos I had ta put 'im in his place.
You shut ya mouth when yer talkin' ta me!
Now get outa here! Go get a job ya smartass punk.
So dems da basics here in da Big Apple. Tanks for stickin' 'round.
Go Yankees!
So, as you all can see I had a ton of fun with this guy last night. I'm super happy with him, but that doesn't mean he isn't with out a few issues.
Some of the chrome is already effed up straight out of the box. There are some issues with clearance on some pieces during transformation that need to be handled ultra delicately. I had to trim a couple spru dangles. And I can't for the life of me get the hood piece to close up all the way over his head. I know it should thanks to pics and vids, but mine has a gap I can't close.
All that said, thanks to a hot tip from Cary, he was super cheap, and worth every penny. I know I said I would never go down the 3P MP rabsie hole, but he was worth it. I like having a different mold for two of the Fuso characters, and honestly I really dig the super toy accurate sculpt on this MMC version. His articulation is great, and his stability is superb. No loose joints or wonky ratchets.
He does come with some nice head swap options.
And I know I love to beat my toy accuracy drum and figured I would swap out for the toy accy head, but I'm kinda digging the orange toon head. It has a nice cohesiveness on the fig, and one more thing that sets him apart from Artfire.
