Yeah that was kinda sad. And much to shajaki's disappointment, I cancelled my Steelbook from Amazon to get the standard Blu-ray release!! :lol:

That reversable cover sold me.

On the topic of TFTM, I didn't get the Amazon pre-order (friend with A.Prime said he couldn't do it for some reason) and I saw it nowhere in stores yesterday, Steelbook or otherwise

Wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this guy, but I feel real good. I haven't been this excited for a Blaster toy since I was 11. I wanna say he's the best Leader toy we've gotten in the last three years, but then I turn around and look at the shelf, and see Jetfire, Ultra Magnus, and Megatron, and think, they were all great too. So let's say he is on par with the Leaders of the last three years. I will say his articulation and pose-ability is a step up though.

He is certainly the best Blaster update yet. He's huge, and it works for me. The OG toy towered over most everybody, so actually in that regard he is right on the money. I love a big beefy bot, and Blaster is that. All that. The boom box is boomin', and it's awesome to finally have the proper alt mode. Base station roxx the nation. I was most looking forward to this mode and having a little house for my space man miniatures. It did not disappoint. It's another factor that sets Blaster apart from the previous Leader toys.
All that plus cassette minion integration makes for a whole lot of awesome toy.

I really like both of JF's modes. I don't really like his transformation, but that never kills a toy for me. I think his hollowness really bothered a lot of people. But people who expect absolute perfection out of every little thing are the hardest people to please.

The transformation is awful.
I liked Jetfire so much I got the other seekers. Mainly to go with CW Megatron and now soundwave

Figures turn up down south in the major capitals. It takes a few weeks after that for them to reach my area.

Figures often turn up in stores like Toyworld or other small franchises, the nearest of which is POSSIBLY a 3.5 hour drive down the highway.

From what I've heard, Target will be going out of toys, which just leaves K-Mart and Big W as the two major department stores. Myer too though they can be hit and miss, plus even when they have their 20% off sales, that just brings them down to K-Mart/Big W levels.

Nearest K-Mart is a 10 minute walk. The others are a 1 hour drive up the highway.

So even if distribution was great, I'm not really near stores to hunt on a regular basis (except K-Mart and they take their sweet time)

I don't like leader Jetfire. I actually prefer that mold for the Seekers (suits them perfectly)

That being said, he came out slightly better than his CHUG version from a few years ago.

I like the Jetfire mold. The transformation is a little awkward but produces a damn sexy jet that I just wanna fire up. Works great for seekers as well, mmmmm..... dat Thundercracker.

Personally I feel JF wears it just a tad better.

Man Blaster totally runs Barter Town! I saw him at TRU a few weeks back and foolishly passed. It's hard to drop $50 on a whim. I'll nab him eventually.

Isn't it funny how much that weighs on peoples opinions sometimes? I hear a lot about "boring" or "uninspired" transformations, and I simply call those "doing their jobs" :lol:

I mean, there's ones that are truly inspiring (like MP Ironhide, Hotrod) but otherwise I'm not usually phased by transformations. Unless they're especially a pain in the ass :lol:
