Ice drifting, digging a foot and a half of snow to move your car, having to wear 5 layers of clothes before the heavy coat. It's glorious!

Though in all actuality, Drift busting and sled riding are absolute joys to behold

Glad I'm in the Netherlands, where summer, autumn, winter, spring are all the same, the only difference being:

spring: sneezing people

summer: 10 days of desert hotness and humidity

autumn: leaves EVERYWHERE

winter: 2 weeks of scratching frost of your car windows

The rest is more or less the same here

(there are positive sides too)

Power Rangers is one of those shows I just never got into. Not for any real reason, I just missed it, but it seems like something I would have liked.

They pilot big robo-animals or something that combine right? Like there is a red, green, yellow, blue and black one with earth, wind and fire and with those powers combined I'll form the heart?

I've caught a few snippets and I enjoyed the fight scene that looked like they were ripped right out of a Japanese giant monster flick. ;)^

Hey Sjeng! I've been to the Netherlands. I recall the weather being pretty pleasant, but on the damp side.

Cary, I never got into that show either. It hit right in that pre to full throttle pubescent zone where I waned from toys to explore more "big boy" pursuits. I did find the giant monster aspect cool and funny, and loved how they cut the show together with really old Japanese footage with shiny new US footage.

I was really just into the toys. Especially the ones that where re-releases of really old Japanese toys. Like Takara, Bandai has a very distinct design style in form and function. I'm sure it would be easy to get an answer in the forums here, but I think Super Sentai goes all the way back to the late 60's. I could be off on that. But some of the older PR toys just have a nice "antique" giant robot toy feel that you don't always get with TFs.

When the Legacy Zords started coming out I got all jacked. I sought out the first season of MMPR simply to see the Green Ranger and Dragonzord. Now, G1 might not be outstanding, but I still love it. OG Power Rangers is brutal. And it's like 20 friggin episodes before Greeny shows up. It did not stand my test of time :lol:

I'm basically in the same boat or I missed the same boat; video games and I was too "growed up" for them rangers of power.

I've accepted some time ago that I'm not too grown up and probably never will be. There are probably some cliches I could insert here about only as old as you feel or you only start olding if you stop playing or something like that :lol:

Not enough dollar monies or time in the day to catch every boat ride. The one thing you can't do is wind back the clock and capture lightning in a bottle. Enjoy the boat ride you're on and toss a friendly wave at the other boats passing by ;)^

Nope not at all, I've seen several Links and all sorts of game characters and "related" fictions. Ours has a Whoovian day and I see quite a few teeth and curls, not to mention a few other things to get an eye full of :shock:

I'd love to do cosplaying. I would probably either dress up as the joker (I have the perfect smile and laugh), or maybe even Starscream (I can do his voice also). Thing is though, I don't do the Halloween stuff, and I am not yet attending Comic Con or anything else cosplay-related.

If I ever did, Link would probably be one of first choices. Cosplay is seriously an art form in its own right and I really respect the work that goes into it.
