Thanks Cramy!

So much to think about with that guy I just forgot to flip them down. That pose had no pivot on that foot. Probably would have found it if it had.
But ya, every time I fiddle with him I find some little thing I forgot to do or didn't even realize could be done.
Chalk one up for play value. He never gets old! ;)^ :-P

Yeah, same with me. Like the time I forgot that you have to unclip the tab that secures scrapper as a foot before folding down his shovel.

Hey Zelda Buddies!

So in a conversation with Cram and Cary long ago, I was reminded about some cool Link figures I had. But I couldn't remember where the were packed up. I have been looking for the little buggers off and on ever since.

I FOUND THEM! I also found some other stuff along the way.

These two little fairy boys were found in gum ball machines in Little Tokyo L.A. by my Brother many moons ago. They are sculpted in the Windwaker style, but I actually think they were from the Game Boy Advanced game, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure. In an attempt to get all four Links, my Bro naturally ended up with some doubles. So, I ended up with the doubles. Thank ol' Brody! ;)^

Image

A cool feature, which I also seem to remember being a hot "selling feature" of the Windwaker game, is that when you turn their heads, their eyes move back and forth. A la Z-targeting in the game, where Link's eyes would stay trained on and follow his target.
Image

Image

While digging for those lil funions, I came across this even smaller crew that I had all but forgotten about. Many more moons ago, but pretty much same back story. Gumball machine, Little Tokyo, Brother, doubles. These were definitely just post Ocarina.
Image

Quick pic for size reference.

And lastley, there's this bu'fugly bunch. I picked these up at TRU back in the late '90s. They were pretty bad, and I knew it, but honestly they were the best I had seen at the time. I advetured the **** out of these guys though! That Link has seen many a quest through strange new lands, including Cybertron.
Link and Ganondorf both came with horses. Link with Epona, and G-Dorf with the one in the game, but they are so terrible I didn't even include them in the shot.

Image

So I am super excited for the A Link Between Worlds figma that Cram, Care, and shaj hipped me to. He will be a welcome edition to these little Zelda rupies.

Yer awesome!

Is LA a place you frequent?
If you make it to Little Tokyo, the Jungle, the Japanese store I scored those Microman and the above TFs, has a store in L.T. called Anime Jungle. Bet you could do some damage in there.

Be careful! :D

I actually haven't been to LaLa Land in a few years, my sister/bro-in-law/nephew/niece all live out there and it's about time to visit them again. I'll DEFINITELY head to Anime Jungle. That will be EPIC!!

Nice Zelda stash you got there. You are correct, those lil Links with different colored tunics are from the Four Swords series. And man are those figures awesome. The FS games borrowed heavily from the Wind Waker aesthetic. Those can be fun games if you can find three buddies to play with.

I wish we had sweet capsule goodies in the states like that.

I remember those OoT figures. I was really into McFarlane figs at the time and those just did cut the mustard.

I too am excited for the LbW Link from Figma. I put a reserve on the DX version (I needed all the extras it would seem).

I got that ganondorf for christmas once and I liked him. He had decent articulation compared to my Batman toys and he was a perfect addition to my team of villains from multiple franchises which would battle my Beast Wars toys which were forced to join forces (with eachother and Batman) to beat the enemy.

Those were my fondest days of playing with action figures. I remember quite well, the higher ups in the league of villains was this super roided up Bane from the Legends of Dark Knight and this demented half spidey clone which was my head cannon for that odd mcdonalds peter parker toy which changed faces.

Good times.

Glad you guys are diggin' all these little Zelda treats. It really is my favorite video game series ever. I hold the completion of OoT up to the same level of an experience as the birth of my children and world touring with the old band. It's an experience I will cherish through all of eternity. OoT really left a mark on me. A tri-force shaped one at that. :-P

A LoZ is in the top 5 maybe even top 3.

Let's see.

1. Blaster Master - NES - No arguing, no second guessing. This is my rosebud, my desert island game, the game that shaped the gamer I am today.

2. Super Mario 2 - NES

3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES

Well that was easy.

Never played it, but I've heard good things about it. I'd like to pick up the remake on 3DS.

OK, I'm going to not use google and try and list all the Zelda games.

The Legend of Zelda - NES
Zelda II: The Adventures of Link - NES
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES
Links Awaking - GB
LoZ: Oracles of Seasons (pretty sure there is two of these) - GB
LoZ: Minish Cap (or something like that) - GBA
LoZ: Ocarina of Time - N64
LoZ: Majora's Mask - N64
LoZ: Spirit Tracks - DS
LoZ: Phantom Hourglass - DS
LoZ: Wind Waker - GC
LoZ: Four Swords - GBA/GC
LoZ: Twilight Princess - Wii/GC
LoZ: Skyward Sword - Wii

Now to google to see how I did. So who wants to put them in order of greatness?

Edit: forgot A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS and got a few names wrong. I also didn't include any of the offshoots like Hyrule Warriors on purpose.

Just to be clear, it is a rerelease with upped rez and a change in the menu, not a remake (unlike Twin Snakes and the upcoming FF7).

I am stocked. But like you, I buy my games for 20$ a piece. So lets say I am super stocked that in 2 years from now I will be playing FF7 remake ;) As well as MGS5 GOTY edition. And in 3 years play FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3.
