Oh Ag, there's no real discussion going on here.Agamemnon wrote:I am an aficionado of 1980s cartoons, and especially love the robot toons. I don't remember Dugram and cannot find any pics. Is there another name? (I don't mean to side track the discussion...)

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
For now, go here. And thank ol' Jak.william-james88 wrote:Pelase take a pic of that fan mode when you can so that I can reproduce it if ever I get one of my own (a KO of course muahahahaha).
Is this a thing you've heard tale of?william-james88 wrote: Although I would wait for the release of the articulated hands version.

Naw. Sorry if my sarcasm didn't come across. I like cannon hands. I think they're cool and funny. He's not a sentient being who needs opposable fingers and thumbs to solve problems. He is a war machine. A tank. Nothing more.william-james88 wrote:Do you like me and get the KO when it comes out

This is definitely the version I would get if I got big powered.

First off, it would help if I had spelled it right. It's DOUGRAM, not Dugram.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fang_of_the_Sun_Dougram
I'm not familiar with the anime at all. My brother and I just had a few toys from the series when we were kids. There is another robot who I think is from the series called Soltic who is also super cool.
Dougram
Soltic
One of the toys we had.
We had this and a Soltic of the same type. These toys were B.A.! The inner skeleton was all die cast with awesome articulation and working hydraulics and cabling and stuff. Then you could put all the plastic armor and body panels on the inner skeletal bot. They were the DOPE! Not sure where they are now. I'd guess my brother has then in his collection. I dug a cool little diecast one out of Mom's attic a few weeks back. Same series as that Soltic Pic above.
His name is Big Foot. And SNAP Google! You are magic.
Here's the box he was in.
Here's the toy.
I would have gladly taken my own pic, but he's chilling on my desk at work at the moment.
Edit: Take a closer look at the Dougram toy box ( 1st one I posted). In the lower right corner you'll see a familiar and favorite name to us all. Also the main licenser of the Dougram toys.![]()
No wonder the toys were so dang cool.

Well if it makes you northern boys feel any better, us southern boys have only just got wave 1 at full saturation. No signs of wave 2 yet. But I'm ok with that.william-james88 wrote:Hey cobo, have you played with Elita in her cmbined form? Any pics of her combined with anyone?
And yeah Shajaki, I feel the same way, its as if the entire USA has these toys now and its just a comminplace thing in anyone's collection.
That is AWESOMEwilliam-james88 wrote:You know what, I once wrote fan mail to Betty White, she is very accessible. And she responded, with the pics I sent her signed
Sometime you guys get stuff. Sometimes we get stuff. But in the end, don't we all get the bots we want?shajaki wrote:So... Wave 2 POTP has been out for like, 6 minutes. And EVERYBODY has them?! What's even happening? Cobs, show us some Hungur beast mode!
I'm in no hurry really. There is that dope super toy accy KO that HAS caught my eye, but I'm gonna wait it out. I think Takara will do a new deco. The KO would be cool, but I'd rather have the Takara one to go in my Takara Masterpiece collection. I like Takara. Always have. Since the 80s.shajaki wrote:Also with all the recent MP-36 talk, what'r your thoughts? Especially with all the (high quality) KO's out there cuttin costs, you think you'll nab some form of one?
Yeah. Everything I know about the Anime, I learned from that link I post for you.Agamemnon wrote:Ah, yes. Another Anime where Battletech stole their mechs from (along with Macross/Robotech). That's probably why it looks so familiar to me. I gotta find some episodes...
Amen to that!Agamemnon wrote:I miss the 80s.

Curl, we're all Southern boys as far as they're concerned. I was in Canada talking with a guy and he said something about "South of the boarder", and I said, Mexico?! He twisted his head at me like a puppy. Then we laughed.carytheone wrote:Well if it makes you northern boys feel any better, us southern boys have only just got wave 1 at full saturation.
