Really nice! Updates are looking good! That beast diorama continues to kill

Hope everyone is doing well in their part of the world.

My latest additions come at a very cheap price, very cheap. Now these two are missing some pieces and could very well be hard to find but hard to pass up at those prices. First up is Cybertron Quickmix, got him at a garage sale for 50 cents. Downside, misssing Cyber Key, minicon, missile, and half of the mixer. I have recently purchased a missile. Let the hunt begin. The other find was from the 2007 movie line, Dropkick. Got him for 25 cents but missing the bed cover. Hell, 25 cents, why not and he is in great condition. I can live with that for sure.

Moving onto some upgrades. First is for the Legacy Universe Scourge, new Sword and double barrel gun. The double barrel gun is from TF-Lab (Texas) and what a great piece for Scourge. I recommend checking out their inventory. I think it looks great with him and in scale. The sword i do not have a source other than i bought it on eBay. As you can see the difference from the original version that comes with Scourge and the new upgrade version. What a difference and looks much better and goes well with the upgraded gun.

The last upgrade comes for Legacy Dragstrip. Decided to buy the wheel covers from a source on eBay. For me, it looks much better and is more cohesive. I’m sure some might just paint the front tabs black but i think this is a much better cleaner look. Hopefully there will be more for the remaining members to make the wheels look alike.

In regards to new additions, I have been collecting up Transformers from the newer stuff that are a throw back so to speak of eHobby, Diaclone, and Gotbots. I don't know why the sudden urge was but i think it is a pretty good looking group of bots. My last addition to this group was DK-3 Breaker. Have to say, i love the blue color and surprisingly my copy had tight joints. I know repaints or reuse of certain molds, they can tend to be loose, joint wise. Even with DK-2 Guard, his joints where super tight. Anyways, its been fun collecting up this group of Transformers. I do have Spinout and Cordon coming, so looking forward to that. The next two on my radar is Lift-Ticket and Tigertrack.

A question for D-Max, or anyone else that might read this, would you consider adding Buzzworthy Silverstreak?

A side note, i have recently purchased another display case for my room. This one is not tall like the others i have but will be a nice addition to the room and a perfect spot for this group i mentioned. Fingers crossed, no broken glass upon delivery.

Glad to see you appear to be doing well SGM.

Some awesome stuff too. I got the universe repaint of Quickmix, I enjoy that mold.

Dropkick is a truly wonderful toy, one of my favorite figures of a character who did not show up in the movies itself. Both modes rule so hard.

Artfire and Breaker are really fun too. I like Guards colors, but the mold I wish was a bit better

Hey D, hope everything has been good in your neck of the woods. I do agree about Guard, colors are great but the mold is just missing something. I am having fun with this group. Looking forward to having them in my new case once it gets delivered and set up.

My latest addition came today, SS 86 Ironhide from a local Target. I have him in a comparison photo with Menasor. With my Menasor, I received the upgrade kit from TF-Lab (Texas) for him. The kit includes the sword, G1 inspired Gun, leg extensions, part for the truck (rear), and a sword holder for the original sword to mount on the back of Motormaster. I know there is other upgrade kits but i am happy with this one, it meets my intent but it is definitely worth checking out. The parts fit great, especially the leg extension, so overall great quality.

How are the Menasor leg extensions? Was thinking about getting just those, but I didn't know what the quality would be like

Hey D, in regards to the leg extensions, as far as my copy of them they seem to be just fine. The quality of the pieces seem sturdy and dont have a cheap feel to them. They definitely fit tight when you slide them into place, so i will give them props on that.

With Ironhide, I haven’t messed with him much, hope to over the weekend but i am loving his bot mode and colors. Id say a Ratchet version of this mold is a must and will look great next to him.

Oh, you've been updating this page again! Glad I checked because my notifications weren't working apparently. I guess I have to make a post to automatically watch a page. Glad you are enjoying the new entries into the legacy and studio series line. I'm definetely waiting for that "voyager" ratchet repaint as well. Have a good day!

Its all good, sometimes that happens. I will be doing a couple more updates in the future. My BW Legacy Inferno arrives today and cannot wait to add it to my BW diorama.

Inferno is finally here. I was able to get him from Hasbro Pulse and he arrived yesterday. In the two photos i have him alongside Beast Wars Scavenger and the other with the rest of the gang in my Beast Wars diorama. Now my diorama is complete!

Side note, i also was able to order Deadend from HP yesterday, so looking forward to adding him to the combine mode of Menasor.

I was waiting to post this until my new phone arrived and man, definitely helps to have a better up to date phone with a great camera. So this is my 6th display case, not as tall as the others. he top shelf inside is my Diaclone/eHobby type Transformers. I just added Magnificus to this group.

The main highlight of this case is on the second shelf. It gave me the ability to display my childhood Transformers i got when i was growing up. I was using a couple of them in my G1 case but have moved them back into this one. Its really cook to have them all displayed.

The bottom shelf is a mix of things. Some of the “not Transformers line” are actually mine on display. That is the two on the left behind my four St. Louis McDonalds meal toys. The other is the bat transformers to the right of the puzzle box NF finally to the far right is my two GoBots. Everything else i have been able to acquire over the years. It was nice to find the one Galactic Man with the box and electronics that still work.

Out of curiosity, why do you have a second galactic man kept in the packaging foam?

That is the original one that actually goes with the box. The loose one was one i got at some point in a lot sale.

Ok...

Here is my latest additions to the collection. Starting with the older stuff.

I had been missing a G1 Kup for my 1986 shelf. I had been using my childhood one for that shelf but decided to get this one to put there.

Somehow i realized i was missing a trailer for my OP. Again, i had my childhood one displayed on my 1984 shelf. In addition, I have the Encore version too which i had displayed on the very top of this display case. My original one, has the silver roller and missiles, bigger fist and gun. The lone OP i have left has the smaller fists and gun. I was able to find a trailer for a reasonable price that has the black launcher and at least one black missile. The only damage was the rear trailer door latch is broken on one side. The launcher and missile launcher works fine. I was able to find a dark blue roller withe the fuel pump. I do have three black missiles coming so that just leaves the hose and nozzle too find.

Next from the G2 line, is kind of a holy grail for me to find and at a great price. It is the green Snarl variant. The only issue is a damage piece in one of the legs for robot mode but i plan n keeping him in Dino mode and will repair that part later on down the road. With my G2 Dinobots, I am still missing the silver variant of Snarl, silver and turquoise Grimlock, which of course is the hardest ones to find in good condition. Of course the price is a tad high for those too.

For the newer stuff, I decided to switch out the original TLK Hotrod with the new Studio Series version. He seems a lot more in scale so to speak but a better representation of his character. Then I got Generations Select Magnificus for my diaclone/eHobby shelf. Not that i had anything against Preceptor but i am digging this version of the mold much better.

Hot Rod is pretty great isn't he? They really put the work in to make him good. I love him, one of the best SS deluxes.

In my quest to replace my three Encore Transformers: Metroplex, Jazz, and Starscream, I was able to find a very decent G1 Metroplex. This version does have the rubber tires and the only thing that was missing was Slammer, two missiles and instructions.. I have already found and bought a Slammer, i just need to buy the missiles and a instruction booklet to be 100% complete.

Otherwise a very nice replacement for my Encore version.

Thanks D, shouldn’t take much at this point. Since my last post, i do have a missile coming that goes to the larger gun, that leaves one more of those and the booklet.
