The thing about collecting Transformers, it is definitely like a good drug and very addictive. So while I am in the process of retiring from the Army and currently located in Virginia I moved what I had with me back with the rest of my collection in Missouri at the end of last year.
Question is, while you are waiting to leave your current location, do you continue to buy Transformers? For me, it is “YES”. Now while my wife keeps a look out for new stuff when she goes to a store, she might not be too happy about me slowly collecting more before I head back home.

Before the Holidays, I only had SS Mixmaster. Now after the new year as you can see from the photos, I have gathered an unique group of Transformers. Ranging from G2, to Universe, Siege, Earth Rise and Studio Series. Which I am currently working on my G2 line, so it is hard to pass up a good deal.

Mind you, there are others I have seen in the store, but have held the temptations on buying everything I see.

What I mean by that, I have to remind myself, the wife is flying out here and we are renting a car to drive back, it doesnt need to be filled with Transformers. Although that would be cool.

What I always enjoyed about luls in new stuff showing up in stores is looking for older stuff I dont have or passed up years ago. Keeps the collecting bug kinda fresh with me.
Nice collection you got there, looking forward to seeing it when you got it all together.

Luls are a great point to find some retro figures you might never have thought to get. And you can always continue to collect while in the process of moving, might be a bigger pain, but it allows you to get some personal time with them since the others might be packed away

Most definitely, while enjoy the new ones, I'm always on the lookout to get those old ones. I'm pretty much good with my G1 collection, has mentioned, working on my G2 line.

While I was clearing things on my work computer, happened to come across these two photos. They were taken in Lehrberg, Germany, 2010. It is what I had at the time. Of course the German house had an basement area, perfect spot for a collection.

Very true and yes that was at the heart of my collecting days. I think I spent about 2k or more over three years. That might be exaggerating alittle but a lot of that was all on G1. With the movie lines, Unicron Trilogy etc.

Just makes me more anxious when I can get this all set up!

So with my official first day of retirement leave, I decided to go through one of my tubs. Man have I missed seeing them. You can see it is a mix but mostly G1, wiht some Machine Wars, Alternators and others. Of course having seen the new Sky Lynx, it was nice to see my ol G1 version.

Pictured is what I had growing up. My very first two I got at Christmas was OP and Mirage. As you can tell, all of these where played with quite a bit. The Constructicons I got a year later I think, but they came in the gift set box. Of course back in those days, I wasn’t thinking of keeping packages.

So this should be it for awhile. In the pictures you will see just about everything. Interesting point is the “Easter Eggs”. I bought those at a TRUs back in 2013 or 2014. When I was browsing EBAY, someone actually was trying to sell all four for 150 dollars. Don’t think they are worth that much but anyways, i have them.

It’s been fun going through my collection, sadly I have to return them back into the totes for now. I will say, for the aspect of validating my list, this does help catalogue any updates or changes.
