Yup. No combiner parts and no arm guys. Can't wait to do the gallery one day. I'm stalling because there's a variant of the Rescue Force. I'm not sure which one I own but I'd like to get both variants for the galleries.
Some of the most fun TFs ever made. Didn't even have to bother worrying about them being "realistic" or "believable". Reality held no bounds over those. Just good, fun, play-with-able figures with very detailed sculpting and high amounts of articulation. Not to mention reasonably show-accurate since the toys came first and the show models didn't veer to far from them.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I want back the Hasbro that makes Transmetals, Fuzors, and Transmetal 2s (maybe minus the chrome, though), but you don't see me complaining.
I LOVE that Hasbro!

Oh man, so many to pick from. Pretty much all of them, mostly. It'd be easier to say which ones I liked the least (not disliked, but the ones that I preferred the others more over), those being Terragator (he frustrated me the first time I tried to transform him since his shell had to be attached so precisely), TM Waspinator (too much spindly beast mode kibble that got in the way), TM Rampage (same as TM Waspinator, and how complicated his tank mode was to do), and Ramulus (tricky transformation, ridiculous weapon that couldn't be stored in robot mode, and he officially couldn't face forward in beast mode).william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Some of the most fun TFs ever made. Could you give me a rundown of your favouites? I know Cobotron really likes Nightglider (or was it Sonar?).

Only five? Yeesh, that's tough.william-james88 wrote:Haha, and I love Ramulus and Rampage, so I can only imagine how good the others are. Would you recomend Prowl the owl and Transmetal Spittor? Give me a quick list of 5 TM2 that you have not mentioned yet that any TF fan should own. Off top of your head.

Um...
Any of them, really. They were just plain good figures.
Well, except for Scarem, whom I forgot to mention as a least-favorite, but only because of his lack of knee and elbow articulation in robot mode. And no hands.
And maybe also except TM2 Cybershark, but only for his great amount of kibble and its tendency to pop off (but that toy's a bit higher than a least-favorite).
But the Basics and Deluxes were all mostly very good figures, and the Megas and Ultras were fairly good (but tended to have more kibble and/or spring-based gimmicks).
Va'al wrote:Deadput wrote:Actually I don't know my mother's name is Valerie so is Va'al actually my mother?
Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
I like him too, but I just like the other Basics more than him.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Aw I actually like Scarem alright; he's got that moxie, that kitschy-ness, that characterfull-ness that hasbro likes to put in their like scout sized figures.

@William-james ...
Transmetals or Transmetal 2s only?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Aw, you don't like those? Scourge I can sorta see with kibble and his freakish look, but I really liked how hideously evil he looked. It made him so intimidating and unique with his Beast Machines Cheetor-esque legs.william-james88 wrote:Transmetal 2 only. If 5 is tough Sabreblade, then name 10. Name whichever ones you think fondly of right this minute. I ask because I am not too fond of the ones I have. I dont like TM2 Dinobot or Scourge, and they are both deluxes. I owned Cybershark, Cheetor TM2 and Ramlus too. So I am looking forward for some nice examples.
I like all of those. Stinkbomb and Spittor are fun (as are their RID redecos Gas Skunk and Slapper), Prowl's neat (I had him and Scourge as rivals), and Blackarachnia's a bit big but still good.william-james88 wrote:Pretty much out of the ones shown below, all the ones I own or have owned have underwhelmed me. Hence why I am so curious to know which ones you really like

I went to TFW as well and still go there for all my 3P news. Returned here for the official news as this community is much better.Seibertron wrote:mirageandjazz1197 wrote:Arctorro wrote:The single biggest thing about this site that continues to baffle me is the need to feed the trolls? Why? The last four pages of this thread consist almost entirely of trolling and feeding the troll! It really sucks when you suddenly find yourself not wanting to go to a thread (or even the site) because you're worried you will just be wasting your time seeing all this pointless crap instead of the fun discussions that should be here
That's why I went to tfw2005 for awhile until I got banned for pissing off a mod even though I was justified but I came back here and it was much better then when
I was last here.
But guys like x here say things so ridiculous you can't help it but to comment.
Welcome back, mirageandjazz1197! Glad to have you here.
As for Arctorro's comments, isn't this the whole point of a discussion forum? If we all agreed, there wouldn't be much to discuss. But trying to share our views on a topic and why we feel the way we feel is part of what makes this place happen. If it was all flowers, sunshine, and rainbows around here, it'd be kind of a dull place (or a Care Bears or My Little Pony website).

Just TM2s.shajaki wrote:ok. we including TM and TM2?

ok. we including TM and TM2? i am!
1)TM2 dinobot
becauuuuse.... he's perfect. but im wearing dinobot colored glasses
everything about him says "evil". i like how in the show blackarachnia calls him skull face, because the white bits are really bone-like making him nice and creepy. also, everything on him is sharp, like he were made of knives. also i may perpetually be coming off the high of dinobot being alive again after code of the hero.
I was so hoping that this sentance was gonna end in CLOTHES!shajaki wrote:becauuuuse.... he's perfect. but im wearing dinobot colored glasses
Word. Did anybody else put his bug legs up over his wrists, so he was holding a bow? Such a creepy bug-demon archer of death.3)TM2 scourge
i just always loved his ghoulish look. yeah kibble-tastic, but it worked for him. looking like a mess made him scarier, like some deformed mutant. also that missile melee weapon was cool, especially when still in the broken wigns (it had a really nice visual effect).
HalluhLUUUUUUUUYA!4)TM waspinator
its so sad he wasnt TM in the show. that jet mode was soooo cool, and i think a great nod/throwback to starscream.
Oh man. He is Sigfried and Roy's wettest dream. Whats not to love about a giant White Tiger Cyber Griffon? With a flip down battle helmet, no less.5)TM2 tigerhawk
lets just say, all TM2's have tonnes of detail and tigerhawk is no exception. all his springy missile nonsense is super fun. both modes are great (beast mode hind leg talons anyone? those were awesome!).
