I just can't get excited fr this "fan choice" combiner. It feels like Hasbro is forcing IDW to shove this down my throught. I feel it would have worked much better if delayed a year or so for proper character and storyline development. I can't justify spendng money on characters I dont care for.

Thinking Hasbro might be doing a play on words. Maybe they'll be new Fem bots characters for only IDW. As some of the fem bots from ages ago. have all yet to appear in the IDW TF comics. New can also mean IDW's different personalities Versions of these Fem bots from ages ago.

Just don't think Hasbro is going to be creating newer names for these Six Fem bots combiners. As there are over fifteen Fembots characters names they can use from ages ago.

Some perspective, from a fellow fan on Facebook.

Got bored and decided to do female transformers toy maths. These are near estimates, sure I've missed one or two.

Excluding things like miniconskreons and non transformings, and including exclusives there have been toys of 41 female characters, 19 of which have been name reuses in different variations.

There have been 80 toys produced in the last 30 years. 25 were original moulds. 37 were repaints of existing female moulds. 17 were gender-swapped toys which were originally male. 1 was a half male/half female original mould.
31% of toys were made specifically to be a female character.
When it's released the Victorion team will represent 7% of all female toys released in the last 3 decades.

There are several thousand different TF toys, including repaints and reuses.

Given that, I do believe that the new characters will (and should) be entirely new.

And given proper multi issue story line and character development. Otherwise it's just a cheap commercial gimmick to be PC and sell more repaint toys.

Gee....I am shocked.

I mean, I can't believe that these idiots at Hasbro are getting away with blatant sexism and most people are cheering about it. And the FACT that robots cannot be female OR male proves that this is nothing more than a marketing ploy to try to get females to buy their toys. Which is insulting. Because females never bought Transformers before..... :roll:

At least it will save me some cash this year. Hasbro is robbing me with these combiners....

Having 3-5 all-male teams is fine, but introducing one all-female team is sexist?

Transformers are clearly based upon many aspects of humanity; this is why some have beards, others play soccer etc etc. Not sure why having gender is a step too far. Also, is it really a 'marketing ploy' if the female toys they're releasing were determined via vote? More people asked for a female combiner than another male combiner, so of course Hasbro/Takara are releasing a female combiner.

Like Women with junk in the trunk. This is why this is my all time favorite HasTak fembot Transformers toy.

Wasn't Victorion announced as an Autobot, flat out?

Blackarachnia isn' going to be involved, they're retools and there's no CW spider mold. And Moonracer, IIRC, is a victim of trademark loss.
