When I was a teenager (20+ years ago) I had read the original Marvel G1 Comics and seen more or less saw anything and everything when it came to Transformers Cartoons (Hasbro and Takara) after all these years I started re-reading my original G1 comics and started researching about them online, and everywhere I looked there seemed to be a new series, reprints, new publishers, and a bucket load of people making comments/onions (a lot of them would be contradicting each other) so it started to seem like a wall of confusion painted in an enigma ... so I found a chronology to follow on tfwiki.net and started on the IDW comics (starting with Megatron Origin), a few books down the track (first book of Autocracy) there was a reference to a whole other lot of books that were not listed in that specific chronology so its making me

so in short I have read the original G1 Marvel and want to start reading the comics, should I skip a publisher? What Gen should I start with? somebody please give me a black and white answer it's driving me fricken insane!

Most likely, it's because this comes up often and a search will find you the answer. If it's a continuation of Marvel's G1 stuff you're looking for, you might also want to try ReGeneration One. Though it didn't go down well with aficionados.
The IDW stuff, in the list that ScottyP gave you, is a reboot of sorts. Nothing that has happened in the Transformers fiction prior to Infiltration (in publication chronology) or The Beginning section of the list, has actually taken place. Effectively, that list is its own TF universe, and the one currently being used for the stories and series.
