I think it's just to advertise how much taller their addons make the combiners.

Weapon: Twin Sonic Cannons
I'd say it's a width comparison, 23.9 centemetres on Devastator vs Predaking's 48.5 centemetres

I never really paid that much attention to CrazyDevy stuff, but wow...that Devastator looks pretty awesome! How many different sets do you need to actually pull off the Dev pictured? And is there any chance they'll ever sell all the required parts in one set? This could actually be a nice alternative if TFC's set never sees the light of day, or when it does, if it's just beyond ridiculously priced.

Head = 1 set
Thighs = 1 set
Hands and gun = 1 set
Waist swivel and purple drum (also comes with a useless arm brace) = 1 set
Forearms = 1 set

5 sets total.

no way devastator is 9 inches wide, nor is Predaking 19 inches wide.

I think it works out to height.

9 inches seems about right for devastator with the add-on parts. While 19 I think is a little too much for Predaking but still may be correct.

I will take a measuring tape out when I get home, but those wings are certainly longer than the standard 30cm ruler I've used in school.

I concede it's possible they're measuring from the feet to the top of the cannons in vertical position. They're arriving from BBTS next week so I can get a full measurement then. Kind of a cheap way of measuring something though.

It's with, because if it where hight it would mean that PRedaking is double as high as Devastator, which he isn't.

Damn! I suppose they average about $30 a set, too. They need to offer the whole thing for like $100. Thanks for the info, though. I'll have to keep it tucked in my back pocket just incase.

Crazy Devy makes G1 Devstator look great, but you really had to have started on the ground floor with their updates. According to them "the best is yet to come", so there's still at least one more update there.

It's also a pain to get him to stand straight. It can be done, but it's really tricky. The swivel waist is also a real waste and doesn't add anything to the figure overall. It's the only update out of the set that made me feel cheated. Of course if you don't get it you'll need a G1 Devestator head for the lower half, which connects to their new head.

I wonder how the new Predaking upgrade is going to maim Predaking.

After what the wings did, I'm still going to avoid these guys.

Now if they slashed all their prices in half... Then I might start buying.

I have all the upgrades for G1 Devastator and man he looks really good, and i have new head for the Predaking and the new wings and CD gives a generic pair of wings to swap for Divebomb so nothing gets scratch and my Predaking looks massive!! no hunching and stands fine. Just waiting on Piranacon add-ons to build him up too.

Actually these guns came with an (optional) replacement for the backpack which secures it much tighter into the back of the figure. There's no wing wobble and I've inserted and removed it many times with no visible damage.

No maiming on this set, better luck next time ;)
