I think it will be less. When they released Brave Max BBTS had him for just over $100(like 125-150) if I remember correctly. I think he will be in the $150-$200 range.

Brave Max was missing most of the accessories, though. $300 for a complete Fort Max reissue sounds about right. $125 for shipping give or take another $25. Add that shipping from Japan to the Fort Max/ TFSource price and that's what we'll get.

In an old anime, there was a quote

"If there is a god, there must be a devil..........if there is a chojin, there will be kyo (?)" or something to that effect.

Now if there's a Fort Max, there must be a Scorponok (?) I'm more for the latter.......he's more or less the size of Unicron iirc.....please let it be so. It's like Optimus Prime and Megatron,Rodimus and Galvatron, Batman and Joker etc.

"Choujin" can mean "superhuman", while "kyo" is the root word for "giant" (both depending on Kanji of course).

Anyway, that quote I used was for Urotsukidoji so if Fort Max is indeed in the works, hopefully Scorponok won't be far behind.

I'll just wait for the Masterpiece version. I'm not a fan of 3rd Party products. Never have been. I was looking at the Devastator's and the MP Seeker Coneheads that are on the market right now and something about them just doesn't sit right to me...

As for Fort Max, I'll just wait and see. So many new ideas are floated about, I take them all with a pinch of salt until I see official images/websites

All I need is a good Ravage and I'm sold on either.

Specifically what they said about Fort Max at the CyberCon was that they "would love" to do Fort Max, and that "if" they were to do him "it would be for the 30th Anniversary in 2014."

A very reliable source - who will remain unnamed, as I don't know specifics of what he/she/it could reveal about it - said that Fort Max is entirely a logistical issue. He has a Huge box, one that easily fills up 2 or 3 times the storage space that any other TF needs. Compare a deluxe box or even a carded box with Fort Max's wardrobe-sized box and you'll understand. One Max will have to draw in as much profit as a dozen deluxes to justify the warehouse space required to store Max before release. Similarly, if he is to be mass-produced, retailers will have to set aside rather large displays for him.

If TT can overcome these slight logistical problems, then, yup, FORTRESS MAXIMUS WILL BE RELEASED!!!!!

I don't buy it. The size is irrelevant. Other current brands have playsets with huge boxes, namely LPS and My Little Pony, especially around x-mas time.
Isn't hasbro going to release a Shield Helicarrier that is like 3 feet long? That things gonna have a good size box.

I really don't get it with all the excuses we get now days. The draw used to be to be the kid that got a toy in a huge box. Geez, I bought my daughter Biscuit for x-mas one year

That thing is the size of a mid size dog. No way FM box would be bigger than that.

I can't say I really care about Sideswipe, though I'm still glad they're doing him for my fellow fans. But i have to say, I really hate rumors when they're of this magnitude. I will wait on Acoustic to see if Tak actaully does their own.
But Fort Max, I need proof, I'll even take a wink. lol.
I already know of one 3rd party group which is working on doing the big guy, and I'm def buying it! Probaly 2, one for display. But an Encore Fort max???

I agree, size isn't that big of a deal, I have a Millinium falcon who's box is larger than Fort max and I got it from walmart/ online. Its not like these are going to toysrus, or at least Ive never seen the encore line sell in any retailors here in the USA. We're all big boys here and I think we know that shipping for fort max will be a lil higher than Starscream, lol. I could ship him for $30 or %35 no problem.

Size is a factor when it's a 23 year old toy, that really wasn't that popular to begin with. The Millennium Falcon is, well, the friggin Millennium Falcon, it's iconic, it's featured in 3 star wars movies, which is a huge popular series. It's a whole different thing from fort max, who was in one episode, the very last episode, of the original series. This is isn't optimus prime, or a brand new playset for a current series. I see how they see it as a risk. No one wants fort max warming shelves.

Hey Screamfleet, David, No one wants product warming their shelves, of coarse not. But Fort Max was in more than one episode. Dont forget about Headmasters, or the Transformers Marvel Comics. Or the UK comics. Or the fact that they did a reissue already and even that reissue is incredibly hard to find and he even sales for $800 and up also. I wouldn't order a thousand of them. But give me a few hundred, Ill sell them before the weekend is over. Hehhhh, by Monday, I have a long list of Previous customers that want him badly!! Though I also have to say, I think it would sell rather good here in the US also.
Oh, and you know which falcon I speak of right. Pretty darn Kool huh? Cockpit Fits 4, lights, 22 phrases, extra ship, shoots missiles, light up table, comes with Han and Chewie. lol.. And my son wont get it till he's at least 10, lol.

I just realized, rebirth never aired in japan as part of g1, so I guess that doesn't apply. So yea he may be a bit more notable than the 1 episode I gave him. It figures by the time I realize this, someone has already corrected me. Still, fact remains, he's not a title character.

He lead the autobots for a bit in the comics, but your right. He wasnt a title character. But he could have been. Hasbro killed the franchise when they killed our childhood with that 86 movie. If it hadn't had been for it Im sure the show would have ran another 3 seasons or more. What kid wants to kepp watching a reminder of the death of their innoscence! I hated Rodimus, and Grimlock turned gay. And Galvatron was to busy beating up his own troops. Hughhh..

The thing with a Fort max release is TRU would almost definitely be the ones selling him and under the Commemorative title. When they released Series One and subsequent they were aiming at adult collectors looking to pick up pieces of their past. Fort Max in TRU is a totally viable option. They've become the place where high price for a certain piece is doable. Walmart has to clearance MPs out at $25 while TRU can't keep MP Grimlock or Rodimus in stock at $70.

Adults would get a piece of TF history that many never had as a youth, I certainly didn't, and would jump at the chance. Hasbro went and gave Star Wars fans that huge AT-AT, I think it's only respectable to give something equally awesome to the Transformers cult.

OMG, That At-AT was huge, 2 1/2 tall. lol. My ol lady almost killed me when I told her i was buying it for my, (one year old at the time 12 or 13 months), he wont get it till he's older, geez!!!

Im not trolling when I say I heard of the Millennium Falcon, but had no idea which ship it was until I JUST googled it.

Depends on location too i guess, Star Wars stuff don't seem to be popular here, the SW section is real tiny and stuff rarely moves.

Don't expect Hasbro to release him. Remember the safety standards issue? Brave Max like flunked it in 2001(RID was supposedly almost given the green light)

As for Tomy......possibility of a release would be higher.

Yeah, I read it was going to be an FAO Schwartz exclusive but was canceled due safety standards. That's the major thing holding this toy back i believe.

I realize that Fort Max is the holygrail for many collectors. I would be more interested in if Fort Max was redone 2.0 style.

- Make him the size of Unicron
- Add more points of articulation
- Add more detail

I want a full size, encore version of fort max, but that would be really sweet if someone would do a unicron size version. Maybe geared more towards his robot mode, with alot of attention to detail.
