Fortress Maximus ~ Medbay

"Typical" Jedishen thought to himself as no sooner had Blurr headed off to find Mirage, then Fortress Maximus took to the air. The trip back to Autobase Prime was covered in a suprisingly short amount of time, not even enough time for the Scout to contact Blurr and tell him to leave finding Mirage till later, as the voice of the Autobot General came through the onboard PA system informing all passengers of their arrival at their destination only a Klik or 2 after they took off.

Looking back to Stormfire, Jedishen noticed him, or It, move for the first time as his head turned. Taking a quick look around to see who was present, only Strafe was close enough to overhear anything that was said, and he had prior knowledge of It, rather painful prior knowledge as well.

"OK, we've docked, time to get Stormfire down to the Medbay.." Jedishen began "..You want to be put on a stretcher or are you OK with me helping you down there on foot?" Knowing there would be at least a slight pause before an answer was given, the Scout switched his attention to Strafe, the Technobot looked to be in pretty good condition, better than Stormfire at least "Hey Strafe, you OK to get down to the Medbay or do you need some help?"

Over the other side of the Medbay, Inferno had just finished taking a well earned rest when the PA announcement came through. Roadbuster had spent the journey under the careful supervision of the Medbay Techs, who had stabilised his condition in preparation for the work that would be done back at Autobase Prime's Medical Facilities. "Ah well, no rest for the wicked" Inferno mumbled as he got back to his feet, before moving over to take the fallen Wrecker the rest of the way to recovery.

Despite objections that it wasn't best if Roadbuster was carried over his shoulders, Inferno lifted Roadbuster up once more, and waving away the techs and their protests, headed out of the Medbay, and out of Fortress Maximus altogether. As he stepped off the loading ramp, Inferno looked around to work out where he had to go, it had been a while since he had last been here, and while he was trying to get his bearings, a voice called out to him "Why are you still carrying him, you're gonna put your back out at this rate"

Looking round, Inferno grinned at Trailbreaker, the Defensive Strategist coming down the loading ramp behind him, helping along his own patient "Hey, I've carried this big load all the way from Tagan, I might as well finish off the trip in style" Inferno joked in reply, watching as Trailbreaker handed care of the walking wounded over to one of the waiting stretcher drones "Fair enough.." Trailbreaker grinned in reply "..Once you're done transporting him, make sure to get yourself up to the Command Center, providing of course you can still walk"

Inferno chuckled as he turned and began walking off towards the Medbay, waved his hand in acknowledgement to Trailbreaker, the Defensive Strategist remained at the base of Fortress Maximus' loading ramp, directing traffic so to speak, waiting until the Autobot General was ready to head up to the Command Center himself.

Primary hanger Bay

Sureshot landed just behind Elita. He watched with skeptical optics as Grimlock marched his large chass out of the hanger.

“There’s a Jewel in the crown of Cybertron for ya.” He mumbled to himself.

Casually he checked his weapons making sure they were all in place then proceeded to exit the smaller shuttle. His foot falls echoed in the large room as he approached Elita’s ship. He wanted to see the damage and had decided to help with the twins. He couldn’t guarantee he would be able to keep his arrogant comments to a minimum but actions speak louder than words. And his actions were genuine. He stopped just beside the ramp and looked up into the ship.

“Hey Guys, Let me give you a hand with Sunshine and Sideburns.”

He couldn’t help it, the twins were always on the receiving end of his jibes. Their attitudes and Sunstreaker’s constant self prettyification drove Sureshot up a wall. How could an ex-Arena fighter be concerned about his looks. Wasn’t the fighting counterproductive to cosmetic concerns?
~Whatever~ Sureshot thought to himself. ~As long as they were alive that’s all that should matter right?~

Primary Hanger Bay

>>Right now I'm waiting for Prime's party to land so I can treat any injured her has with him. There was no report on what to expect but if the rumor is right that the Decepticons crashed the meeting, I'm expecting something to keep me busy. I'll check in with you when I'm off here, unless any more medical emergencies to deal with...<<

First Aid responded to Hot Spot, not noticing that Landfill had come up to them while he was finishing up his transmission. "One thing about this war... it makes me feel quite useful."

Red Alert just stood there and looked at Landfill's face, trying to ignore the oder coming off whatever was clinging to his armor, seeped in his joints, or got stuck who knows where. "That... er... may not be necessary." he said in response to Landfill's offer to put injured parties in his truck bed for transport. "I know I carry a couple of anti grav unit's, and I'm sure First Aid does the same."

First Aid nodded, "Yes, and there's also... sanitation... concerns."

Red Alert just coughed and looked away from Landfill. "Looks like one shuttle has arrived..." he and First Aid both stared as the first Autobots to arrive stepped off and walked right past them, the Dinobots. Red Alert was astonished for a moment the resumed his normal expression, "Well, they are alive then. I guess Ultra Magnus didn't...."

"Ultra Magnus what?" First Aid asked Red Alert, "And isn't there some security concern about... them?"

"I'm sure there is, but I can't think of it now." he answered.

Autobase Prime - Primary Hangar Bay

Rolling down the ramp in all-terrain heavy pursuit vehicle mode, Optimus Prime opened his trailer module as medical drones and Sureshot approached. Once the drones removed the badly damaged forms of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker for immediate repair, the Autobot leader transformed into robot mode. He looked to First Aid and Red Alert.

"I'm sorry to add to your workload from the Tagon Heights, but Megatron wasn't in the mood to play fair this orn," he told the medic and security officer. "Fortunately Sideswipe and Sunstreaker decided we shouldn't hold up our end of the bargain either, but they tangled with some sort of new Decepticon warriors. Once you've patched them up and dealt with the casualties from Tagon, I'd like a brief report on whatever unusual weaponry the new Decepticon design used on them. We don't want to be caught by surprise a second time."

He had seen Grimlock storm out of the Hangar with his Dinobots, and was quite sure the big Autobot's first stop would be the Command Center. He'll want to find out the situation here on Cybertron...but I need to know the situation on Earth. He still hasn't said anything about where his team's been for the past fifty thousand vorns, or what brought them back here. To be quite honest, Prime had written Grimlock off as dead, deactivated somehow on that distant ball of iron ore and rock identified in the Cybertronian General Planetary Atlas as Alpha Centauri Neighbor Gamma-3.

Seeing Grimlock alive and functioning right before his optics was something of a relief, yet very unsettling as well. Is leadership...existence...simpler without Grimlock around? He turned the question over in his processors, but not for long. Absolutely. Grimlock has been and always will be a wild card in the Civil War. He's loyal to the Cause, but certainly not loyal to me. Still, when you can count on one hand the number of Decepticons who can beat a mech in a fight...you want that mech on your side, don't you?

The arrival of Grimlock and his Dinobots had not only thrown a spanner into Megatron's ambush on Moon Alpha, but arguably had shifted the balance of power on Cybertron as well. Here's to hoping he's more interested in beating the Decepticons than wearing a crown on his head. At the moment, hope was one of the few assets to which Prime had access in large quantities.

Steeling himself for what would no doubt be an intense meeting of logic processors, Prime strode out of the Hangar Bay, injured as he was, and headed for the Command Center.

Repair Facilities

Wideload was very happy about all of these compliments. He was more used to the friendly jibes and playful jabs (or the mean put downs by Freeway) of his fellow Throttlebots. Being complimented on his polish (growing greasier by the minute) was for Wideload what a pat on the head and being called "a good boy" was to a puppy that had been kicked all its life, "Thanks!" Wideload said happily, "And might I say that your paint job is looking particularly stunning, Road Rage," he was even happy enough to ignore the possibilities of Panzer dripping fluids onto his back.

A little way back from those two Freeway rolled his optics, "He's not meant to enjoy it," he protested.
"Serves you right. Glad your plan backfired," said Searchlight smugly.

Iacon- Docking Bay

"Why thank you." Road Rage replied kindly to Wide Load as they entered the hallways and made their way to the docking bay.

There she would wait for the doors to open so the evacuation of the mighty Fortress Maximus can be completed.
She fidgeted a bit under Panzer a tad nervously "I hope he's okay. He was hit with a paralyzing shot." She sound a bit worried.

Autobase Prime Command Center

Scoop looked down at Rollbar as he asked his question. Yes he had been out of the primary action for a while. But now he was back. "We had our assignments Rollbar if I could of been at the other battlegrounds I would of." He had to admit he did feel guilty not being at Tagen to add his firepower to his comrads. Things however have a way of always balancing their way out. He has just got to be patient.

He then looked at Cliffjumper as he walked in wondering what in blazes was going on. Scoop just looked at the bot and thought how much he reminded him of Grimlock. He just turned his attention back to the console and then said to Cliffjumper "My console says Prime is back on base." He did not say another word. The small red bot probably only knew as much as he did.

A blue streak dashed around a corner and slid to a stop in front of Mirage.

“Oh-Mirage-there-you-are!-Jedishen-sent-me-to-find-you.-He-didn’t-say-what-it-was-

>>Thanks-for-the-notification-Fort Max,-glad-to-have-helped.<< Blurr transmitted back swiftly (and amazingly short speeched) in acknowledgement.

Picking up where he had left off in verbally delivering his message as if there had been no interruption, Blurr continued speaking to Mirage.

Primary Landing Bay

Landfill retracted his hand and began scratching at the back of his head. The scent from his body now caking the entire landing port, no where on the outside was safe from the oder cloud. Even the medical drones were having hard times moving about and adjusting to the overload of ghastly stink that tore off of Landfill's body. But as usual, he was completely oblivious to the cause of their malfunctions and made a note to ask Huffer if he would be able to take a look at them at some time in the near future.

"Sanitation issues? What for?" He kicked his head to one side not exactly catching the drift First Aid hinting at. He allowed his arm to fall to his side and looked over at the shuttle craft as it landed down the tarmac. He was about to transform and roll over there to offer his assistance when Red Alert pretty much told him they had everything under control. It was fine, he would allow them to entertain themselves as they did their jobs respectively.

All Landfill could do was smile and nod in acceptance as First Aid and Red Alert scooted towards Optimus and the others. The transporter scratched at his aft plate again and watched as five massive figures appeared from the shadows of the interior of the shuttle. Dinobots? The face plate of Grimlock was a dead give away. He was well known through the ranks, though rumor had it he was dead.

He smiled politely and friendly as he walked over to greet the massive Dinobot leader. "Hello there welcome to..." But there was no responce as the commander and his followers brushed past into the fortification's interior. Landfill felt a bit rejected, as if no one even bothered to take notice of him, aside from the two emergency officers.

Thus he let the incident slide, overall he was aware of the reputation of Grimlock's crew. Hugely antisocial misfits who fought as if they were Decepticons in Autobot symbols. Instead he turned his attention to the rest of the soldiers climbing out of the Shuttle Craft.

"Glad to see you have returned Optimus Sir." Landfill offered a stinking salute as he raised his arm over his head uncovering a patch of rotting metallic matter. "I wish I had been up there with you, perhaps I could have been able to help prevent such a disaster."

Autobase Prime - Docking Bay

As Blurr approached and began spewing a seemingly endless stream of verbiage, Mirage put one hand to his forehead and sighed slightly. If only the poor mechanoid could slow down a bit...he might make some kind of sense. Might.

"Stormfire? Hmm." Mirage paused for a moment. "All right. I'll see what he needs. Did he say why he wanted me there?"

The spymaster wanted to know how much the other Autobots knew about Stormfire's little problem. If it had become common knowledge that the warrior was, well, cracked beyond all reason, his usefulness to Mirage was likely compromised. The spymaster rather hoped that was not the case.

He began to follow the fast-talking data courier toward the medical facilities.

Autobase Prime - Main Medbay

Perceptor watched as the stretcher drones brought the wounded in, looking over each patient as he went past and noting the injuries on a datapad, priority cases being prioritised and drones being directed to leave their patients in the appropriate location. The shear scale of the task at hand hefted itself onto his shoulders with each critically wounded soldier that floated past, and a tertiary optic focused down the corridor, hoping for more medical staff to arrive to ease the burden.

[OOC: Has anyone actually arrived in the main medbay yet? It seems to me that everyone is en-route, and Stormfire is still in Fort Max's own medbays as far as I can see. When are people going to actually arrive to be repaired?]

"Right." First Aid looked around Prime to locate the injured Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. "I'm only a medic... so Perceptor will have to be the one to study them." He entered the shuttle to direct the drones assigned to carry them out. "Okay let's get everyone to the med bay... looks like everyone to stable, but I want readouts on the way."

Jazz walked up to First Aid, "Hey doc, you have something for my head?"

First Aid handed Jazz a couple of energon chips, "Take these and call me in the morning."

Red Alert just watched Grimlock then back at the drones busy unloading the injured. "Interesting just interesting... new types of weapons huh? I can carry on my own investigation..."

Autobase Prime - Primary Hangar Bay

Once the last of the injured had cleared his docking ramp, Fortress Maximus released Gasket and Grommet into the hangar bay, where they quickly combined once more into Cog. That done, the Autobot Commander transformed into his robot mode, stepping from his berth to join Trailbreaker. It had taken some time to safely offload the damaged mechs from the battle in the Heights, and he was all-too-conscious of the necessity of joining Optimus Prime and the others in the Command Center--particularly with Grimlock's return to Cybertron. He had noted the Dinobot Commander and his team exiting from the same shuttle which had brought back their Supreme Commander, and while he welcomed Grimlock's vast military expertise and decisive attitude, it could not be denied that tensions often ran high when he was present.

Even if his counsel were not specifically required, it was possible that his presence alone would help to keep things civil. The last thing they needed right now was to be at each other's throats.

Despite his obligations as a senior officer, Fortress Maximus was not completely at ease in passing off his responsibilities to his damaged comrades. This was why he had dispatched Cog, to assist Perceptor in the Autobase repair facilities. He was confident that he could balance the two tasks before him, given his impressive processing capabilities and Cog's fair degree of personal autonomy.

"Trailbreaker," he greeted his smaller comrade with a nod. "I believe Prime will find our input useful in addressing the current crisis. Come. I'd hate to keep him--or Grimlock--waiting too long." With a low chuckle, the massive Autobot set off, parting ways with Cog at the branching corridors which led to the command center and repair facilities, respectively.

Autobase Prime – Command Center

Grimlock walked into the room, sparing only a brief glance around at the various Autobots working. It didn’t look like anyone terribly important was on duty or even in charge at the moment. Leave it to Prime to let the weaker Autobots try to lead things while he was away. They’d be lucky if Megatron hadn’t taken the whole planet other that Iacon by now.

The Dinobot commander walked up to the nearest console, ignoring any glances or comments he might be getting from the other Autobots. He brought up the latest reports from the frontlines. The Heights had fallen to the Decepticons. There was heavy fighting in Polyhex and something called Omega Supreme had been forced to withdraw. Some sort of attack on Nova Cronum had been repelled. The whole planet hadn’t fallen, but probably the most important part had.

He scrolled through the rest of the reports, noticing with interest very few of them concerning Uraya, his former stomping grounds. It seems that with the Heights in Autobot hands Uraya had become a bit of a forgotten city-state, a backwater of the war. Now with the shift of power Uraya was back on the main lines, and a perfect place to begin hitting the Decepticons back from.

Perceptor nattered on about his invention, in highly-technical language, while opening small maintenance panels in Panzer's armor and peering inside. He quickly stopped, considering what he'd seen.

"He appears to have been assaulting using a self-replenishing electromagnetic distorsion wave weapon, which has unbalanced his fluid control systems. We shall need to reboot his internal control network and reintroduce new cooling and lubrication fluid. Could someone bring up the tranfusion pump?" He said as he began connecting interface cables to Panzer's CPU and preparing an Emergency Grounder to cease the remaining power fluctuations.

Strafe was a little more nervous than he normally would be what with Stormfire so close and obviously not in his 'normal' state of mind. "I'm fine; I didn't get too banged up anyhow just a few scorches and dents." he replied managing a smile. "You need any help with him?" after all Strafe was concerned about his fellow flier he was just a little nervous that was all.

Strafe just hoped that this time everything was under control he still remembered what had happened last time he crossed paths with the thing that inhabited Stormfire's form and to say it made him cautious would be a gross misunderstatment.

It began to walk towards the medbay, caring not if the others decided to follow. One thing It must do though is to set the bots minds at rest. It turned to Jedishen and Strafe

‘I will not act out in this facility, at least until Stormfire is functional, on this you have my word, take it if you wish. However, should you reveal my secret, you will die a very slow agonizing death, unable to scream. am I clear?’

It expected them to take this threat lightly; they thought he was weak, but he was not impaired, Stormfire was damaged. It was not. It turned the corner and entered the Medbay

Impulses and emotions coursing through her whole frame like electric charges had been an everyorn experience for Beretta. Ups and downs, inward and outward flux, depending heavily on her mood and momentary motivation.

At times, it was a hastily, rush vortex of a loud voice, swinging around her arms in gesticulation, with itching trigger fingers, ready to explode on the first and slightest bit of pressure. In other cases, Beretta was surprisingly calm and collected, her sharpness betraying her basically careless and loud nature. Her optic sharp and her mind set on her objectives, she seemed to be able to pull through anything.

Right now, in the dim, swirling blackness of her mind, she felt as mediocre as far the two polarities of her personality were from each other. It was like a deep, very deep pool of odorous sticky substance that gripped at her consciousness and wouldn't let her climb out of it. Similar to her regular overenergon hangovers after missions, but lacking the joyful delirium of those completely. In other, simpler words, it felt like slag.

However, all fogs needed to dissolve sooner or later, so was in the case of the femmebot, as small bits of incoming data on her surroundings began to make it to her central processing unit, slowly adding up and building up audio and visual description of the medical bay.

Light was painful as it penetrated the blackness adrift on Beretta's optics, making her light adjustments systems scream with warnings and quickly decreasing the amplification percentage.

"Whoa..." The distorted, broken voice came from her vocalizer, arriving to and leaving her mouth cavity as an unarticulated groan, making no sense.

The table she lay on was cold. Or maybe it wasn't, but felt very cold and austere. Like being dropped on rusting metal surface with no armor plates attached, the crass and jarred substance grinding against bare endo-skeletal framework, sending receptors screeching and sending numbing shivers down on the spinal structure.

As she gradually got to her senses, Beretta came to realize that the pain was still there. It shook her whole frame every time she tried to move her right shoulder. Then it clicked. her arm was almost torn off in the last battle. Someone took her back with the retreating force, but the wound had not yet been tended to, apart from some first aid, and cauterizing the leaking fluid lines. She was lucky to be functional.

Then another click. The horror and helplessness she felt when that Decepticon monster creature, or whatever it had been, grabbed and ripped her apart like some protoform's plaything, with barely more than a simple swing of its arms.

Then another click. There had been someone, who suffered the beast's terrifying might even more than her. It had been nothing compared to the hole blasted through her shoulder and chest.

"Remy!" Beretta screamed and shot herself up to a sitting position on the table, wildly lashing out with her left arm, almost knocking Perceptor, who was working on another seriously wounded Autobot, on the head.

Autobase Prime - Command Center

After returning Landfill's salute in hasty fashion, Optimus Prime made his way quickly to the Command Center. He saw that Grimlock had already availed himself of the various datafeeds and status reports, and walked up to the hulking Dinobot leader.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, Grimlock," he said with the slightest tinge of humor in his stately voice, "but I haven't managed to lose the entire planet to the Decepticons yet."

Perhaps you'd be happier if I had, and the only thing that was left for you was the task of rebuilding the Autobot faction in your own hardheaded image? It wasn't an impossible notion. Long odds and not answering to a higher authority than himself had been Grimlock's style since the days of the Lightning Strike Coalition, during the Dark Ages. He noticed Grimlock's visored optics focused on a map of Uraya. The LSC's old stomping grounds. And quite a bit of stomping they did there, indeed.

"I take it you're already formulating some sort of plan for hitting the Decepticons, and not even three cycles back on Cybertron. Care to share with the rest of us?"

Prime crossed his arms over his battle-scarred chestplate. He had some plans of his own for striking back against Megatron's forces, but given the Dinobot leader's questionable attitude toward cooperation, it was best to play things close to the vest. See what he gives me before I give him anything.

Autobase Prime - Main Med Bay

Shortly after Stormfire entered the Med Bay, Mirage walked in as well, noticing that more than a few Autobots were either on the operating table or in line for the surgeons' laser-scalpels. It appears half the Autobot faction has been blasted clear into the CR chambers. Fantastic, as usual. The spy's optics found Stormfire in no time at all. Well, I recognize that look in his optics. Stormfire's little imaginary friend has reared his ugly visage once more. He's out and about as often as Stormfire himself these orns, it seems...

He approached Stormfire, Jedishen, and Strafe. Cutting straight to the point, he gave the others only a slight nod in greeting as he spoke to Stormfire.

"You wanted to speak with me?"

Autobase Prime- Main Medical Bay

"I see." She nodded along with Perceptor's technological jargon. She wasn't exactly dumb, but she didn't understand word for word, but she got the gist of it.
"I know how you feel, I suppose. I'm not one to play medic either. At least not in terms of long lasting repairs. And nothing as complex as outright replacement. Hopefully a medic will arrive to take off some of the workload." She got the transfusion pump barely recognizing it, and only after a moment of searching. She hands it to Perceptor trying to fill the role of maybe a nurse, or something.

She looked at the rest of the incoming wounded. "My word, what monsters assaulted Tagon?" She sounded rather upset to see such wounds. "I really hope more medical units arrive."

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Autobase Prime: Command Center

Hotspot folded his arms as he pulled himself up from the console. He was already frustrated for not being at Tagan and sure as hell determined not to be left out of the next major operation, even if he had to wage it himself. Still he wasn't very fond of the idea of hitting insignificant targets that would do little more than pull Autobot resources away from any major action. Of course he doubted his own team would desire to be involved as a Distraction... though First Aid would rather sit every fight out, but that was a choice and one that Hotspot accepted. "I agree we gotta hit the cons hard and decisively in order to prevent these blasted swamp slargs from getting to comfy in Tagan... but when they say hit 'em where they least expected I don't think hitting a useless energontaco stand is what they had in mind."

Hotspot shifted his weight and scratched his olfactory sensor assembly as he began to contemplate, sure he wasn't Streetwise but how hard could strategizing be anyway? He looked at the maps of Tagan, Polyhex and Iacon in an attempt to find some sort of way to have the most thrills with the most impact. As he stood there and thought, the massive blast doors slid open and in walked some mech clad in grey, red and gold armor with fins raising off the shoulders armed with stumpy limbs. His presence had pretty much sucked the attention out of most discussions and turned it on him as if he was some sort of celebrity. The mech proceeded to activate files on one of the command consoles bringing up maps and such of Uraya, a rundown backwater territory to the southwest just north of Altihex.

Soon after Optimus Prime walked in carbon scarred and dinged from battle. Evidence of which made Hotspot even more heated in his desire to get something together. The two larger mechs exchanged some sort of one sided conversation, of which the Protectobot Commander took marked interest in. "An offensive, thats just what we need right now." He snapped his finger in the air as he failed to hide his enthusiasim.

Main Medbay, Autobase Prime

Wideload transformed after the weight of Panzer was removed off his back. He listened to Perceptor and slowly but perceptibly his optics glazed over as the scientist spoke. When Perceptor had finished Wideload glanced over to see whether Road Rage had understood anything and then chipped in, "Sounds just too damn technical, doc. Something sounding that complicated will probably need the best medical experts around,"
