Highway Grid - Shoreline

Rolling in a bit late, Brewer had fallen behind, knowing that he wouldn't be much use fighting-wise. Any bots that needed aid would be immediately treated, though. He soon noticed a darkly painted and heavily armored Autobot - Orpheus - who was being held by the powerful jaws of Skullcruncher and soon let go because of a distraction from Springer.

Just as Brewer go into voice-hearing distance of Orpheus, a blinding light swallowed the atmosphere, and he fell from loss of balance. The light was soon followed by a shower of turrets and bullets, some piercing the green mech in various casualties while others struck the ground around him with snapping force.

According to Brewer's own beliefs, this wasn't a good sign for the Autobots.

Highway Grid ~ Shoreline

The pain from Weirdwolf's bite coupled with the lingering haze from Mindwipe's attack were still hampering Silverbolt's effectiveness. He could feel his knee impact on the beast's side, but he couldn't react in time as Weirdwolf switched modes and grabbed his arm, overpowering the Aerialbot Commander in the process. Bracing himself for what the backwards talking Decepticon had planned, Silverbolt was instead caught in the blast from Air Raid's torque rifle attack, not as much as Weirdwolf, but enough to cause damage to his armor.

As annoyed as he was with his fellow Aerialbot's carelessness, it had forced his foe to release the grip on his arm, but still there was no chance for a rest as Weirdwolf went once more with his sword, it was all Silverbolt could do to bring his arm up to shield himself and wait for the impact.

Once more though, nothing came, it seemed that this was the Aerialbot Commander's lucky cycle as he was saved yet again from serious harm, this time first by Wheelbar and then Ingram, both putting themselves in the firing line to protect him. Taking the opportunity, Silverbolt got back to a crouching position, trying to shrug off the pain in his shoulder, and gritted his teeth as he made a dash to recover his rifle, only to be caught in Weirdwolf's retaliatory attacks, one of the missiles catching him square on his back, blowing him right past his rifle on the ground, and once more leaving him in pain, in a heap on the ground.

His armor smoking from the impact, Silverbolt rolled over to look back towards his rifle, wincing in pain, when his vision was wrecked, first with intense brightness, then smoke covered the area, reducing visibility to almost nothing. As he lay there, trying to figure out what to do, tracer fire ripped through the smoke, pelting the Aerialbot Commander's already damaged armor, keeping him pinned to the ground.

His strikes were ineffectual, no matter how much force he brought down on Skullcruncher's head, the beast refused to release his vicegrip on Orpheus' arm. Whatever feeling he had was almost gone, his arm was rendered inoperable, and it was slowly being teared apart as the grip tightened. As he was reaching his threshold for pain, Springer's attack finally removed Skullcruncher from his arm, allowing the young warrior to get back to his feet.

His arm was a mess. The missile launcher had been crushed, his hand wasn't moving, and the whole arm from the joint downward was hanging off, and the black 'Bot was favoring it heavily, holding it close to his body as he staggered backwards away from the Decepticon warrior who was now focused on making Springer pay for interrupting his meal. With his left arm done, Orpheus no longer had the option of using his chaingun, as not even he could operate it with only one hand, which left him with just his shoulder mounted laser cannons.

Watching on as Springer launched himself at Skullcruncher, Orpheus waited for the chance to open fire on the beast, only to lose sight of both he and Springer as the bombardment of smoke and flash grenades covered the area. Losing his target in the smoke, Orpheus was staggered further back as he was caught in Clench's fire, his now useless arm taking a lot of the shots as it hung limp in front of his torso. He could do nothing with the smoke covering the area, his laser cannons were too dangerous to just fire blindly into the smoke.

Archangel knew his place, he was to follow the others in, assist with attacking only if absolutely neccessary, and fix up those who were damaged, if needs be, under enemy fire. Flying low over the highways of Nova Cronum, the Medic watched as the area below was showered with smoke grenades and pelted with gattling gun fire from offshore, everyone but him was on the ground. Swooping down, Archangel flew as close to the ground as possible, as fast as his rotor blades could turn, his intention being to try and clear some of the smoke hampering the Autobots on the ground.

Highway Grid - Shoreline

His footing ruined by the impact of Juggernaut's shock hammer upon the ground near him, Weirdwolf slipped to one knee. Offering up another helping of triple-stage missiles from his shoulder launchers, this volley aimed at Juggernaut, the Decepticon tracker then transformed back into beast mode. Clench's orders had been clear, and his tremendous salvo of supporting fire had done the job of distracting the Autobots long enough to allow a withdrawal.

>>"Commander, acknowledged. Now withdrawal commencing!"<<

With a cheery growl and snarl, Weirdwolf moved back toward the Rust Sea's murky brown edge.

"Autobots, farewell! Pleasant was how this little outing! Brothers, come..."

Autobase Nu Medbay

The leak was sealed; Sub Zero’s life signatures began to pick up as energon finally began to effectively circulate round his system, his self repair began to kick in, making Minerva’s job much easier as she began to restore joint connections and circuitry. As Sub Zero’s energy reached levels that would engage a system restart, Minerva took one last look at her scan, and saw that one of his weapons was still functioning, Minerva opened the access panel to the weapon, and stared long and hard. It appeared to be draining energy from Sub Zero, even when he was in such a critical condition. Minerva would not stand for that and just as Sub Zero began to stir, she began to disconnect the weapon.

Zero’s optics slowly came online. Their dull glow pathetic compared to the normal output he usually generated. He looked up from the table into the face of a femme. He knew her……. But she wasn’t fighting the Decepticons with them. Her name was …….. Minerva yes Minerva. He had helped her before the battle, helped here. ….. … here in Med-bay? How did he get in the Med-bay? He flinched as she worked somewhere near his laser systems. Turning his head he watched her disconnect the Absolute Zero weapon systems.

“Hello, Minerva.”

He spoke, his voice sounded tired. He looked down at his body.

“What happened to my armor?”

His head turned back to her. Questions buzzed around in his head like was the Team alright? Where were the other bots that were here when he left? And did Wheelbar Survive? He looked at the nearly empty room. And decided not to question her. He had a feeling she would have her hands full very soon from the look of the room. He angled his head again to look at her, he was well aware of how far he had pushed his systems.

“I want to thank you, I know your work has saved my life.”

He smiled warmly despite the foreboding feeling that crept over him. Something had not been right about that ambush. It held a strange unsetteling feeling. Zero had been attacked by ambush before but this time it felt strangly off.

While focusing on giving support fire for Mindwipe's group, Clench had noticed a small figure being launched to the air from the horizon. Zooming on it he was also able to identify the target as Autobot recon Gears. So, my position compromised. The Autobase has been alarmed. Too late for them. Clench's main turret turned, his targeting computer seeking to lock on Gears. And for him... no, blast it!

Archangel's appearance didn't go unnoticed by the mighty Decepticon. Immediately cancelling the attack he was about to launch against Gears, he turned his targeting computer on Archangel who was doing his best clear out the smoke wall Clench had created.

With the target lock acquired, a hypervelocity projectile, accompanied with spiral of crackling energy shot from Clench's twin rail cannon towards the rotorbase of the Autobot who was trying to undo his work - the hyperspeed bullet breaking the sound barrier dozens of times in a fraction of a nano-klik before already reaching its target. The Autobot's only chance of avoiding his rotors being destroyed was bad aiming by Clench - allowing the shot miss for there was no mechanoid in existance able to dodge a roughly humansized object moving with enough speed to puncture through an Omega Sentinel and still being able to continue moving faster than an Aerialbot.

Autobase Tau - Western Exit

A somewhat scornful >>"Right."<< was all that Gear's said after Prowl acknowledged his alert. The small Autobot didn't especially like Prowl but understood that his logic circuits were helped Autobots to many victories in the past. It just bothered him that the logic driven Autobot strategist sometimes felt like a computer. So unlike Prime... gah, gotta live with what you got I guess. I can't but shudder of the thought of Logicus Prime... oh no... slag it! He saw me... Why I can't just fly like those 'cons...

Gears' panic soon died out as he noticed Clench's turret turning towards another target, at the same time hit the feeling of guilt as he realized that such action by the Decepticon could mean only that he had found a more important target. By Primus...

Skullcruncher roared as Springer successfully slashed his head, just inches away from his optics. The Autobot had not only interrupted his meal but had nearly blinded him. If he had been angry before, now he was furious. The swamp warrior transformed to his robot mode and slashed back at the triplechanger with his own sword.

His fight was interrupted by the calls for a retreat from Clench and Weirdwolf. He hated leaving with only a taste of Autobots, but he had no desire to be caught in Clench’s barrage or to be overwhelmed by masses of Autobots. He jumped into the air and flew after Weirdwolf. The mission may have been a success, but it didn’t satisfy his appetite.

((OOC: I'm gonna go ahead and let Forte out of her CR confinement. Her damages weren't THAT bad, right?))

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

A small groan echoed within the CR chamber, immediately followed by a cheerful ding! that signaled her recovery was complete. The slow mixing of air from inside and outside made a hissing noise as the door opened on its own and revealed to Forte the CR room.

What? No... How? Forte hardly remembered what casualties she suffered to get into such a predicament. All that she could go back to was the decapitated Autobot head in her hands and her fury sky-rocketting - No wonder she couldn't remember anything. "It's getting worse. I'm letting it active so easily now," she mumbled to herself.

Finding her way out and into a new room full of beds and tables, Forte noticed two bots at one area. The small male - Sub-Zero - was being worked on, and the female - Minerva was working on him, seeming to be detaching a weapon from his arm. She only watched, afraid to interrupt.

Highway Grid - Shoreline

Things finally settling enough for Brewer to stand and regain composure, the green mech studied the area, trying to figure out exactly what just happened. Archangel was just above, clearing out the smoke wall. At the point of understanding the situation, things changed. Brewer noticed Weirdwolf and Skullcruncher begin to retreat. Something wasn't right, but it was too late to realize that now.

Highway Grid – Shoreline

Faced with two quite capable opponents, and the withdrawal of his brothers, Mindwipe changed tactics. Ceasing all attempt to counterattack Kup and Glock, the hypnotist blocked and dodged with all his considerable skill. He received blow after blow from his opponents, trying to get his beleaguered engines back in working order.

Cease communications jamming, he commanded his internal systems control. Take hypnotic systems offline. Reroute power from transmitters to main engines. Initiate.

Power thrummed through his body. He did not have to read the message on his HUD to know that it had worked. Opening his engines for maximum burn, the battered shrikebat streaked through the air, hoping to reach safe distance before his surprised enemies could switch to ranged armaments.

"As interesting as it is to watch a once great soldier feebly humiliate himself," the former priest called back derisively. "We shall have to do this...another time. Yes!"

Highway Grid ~ Shoreline

He didn't stand a chance. The smoke was slowly being dispersed by his rotors, but there was no warning of what came next. Archangel's rotors were severed from their mountings in an instant as the hypervelocity projectile ripped through him, one of the rotors splintering off and cutting into his armor as he began an unavoidable tailspin downwards towards the ground.

Crashing into the ground with a sickening crunching sound of metal, the Medic's systems were still reeling, not even having enough time to shift him into robot mode, he was still in his helicopter alt mode, a smoking wreck, he remained motionless as he tried to work out just what the pit had just taken place.

Off to the right, Orpheus was still trying to pick out a target through the smoke, when he saw the flash of explosion above him, quickly accompanied by the sound of a crash landing. He didn't see who it was over him, his first thought was that it may have been 1 of the Aerialbots, but as he looked over to the wreck that was now on the ground, he recognised the markings and colours of his closest friend.

The young Warrior didn't know what to do. He looked on as his friend remained motionless, heavily damaged, and inside the anger began to build up. He was supposed to protect his closest friends, look out for them, make sure they're safe, but he'd failed again, as he always seemed to do.

Looking through the half smoke towards the rust sea where all the fire seemed to be coming from, Orpheus began to move towards it, moving from a walk to a jog to as fast as he could go, charging through the smoke, not looking to see if anyone or anything was in his way. Charging past Brewer, not stopping or even slowing down, the black 'Bot stopped when he felt the strange liquid of the rust sea on his feet. Looking out through the smoke, Orpheus could see a large vehicle way out into the sea, and shouted as loud as he could, before opening fire on Clench with his laser cannons, alternating fire between each shoulder.

The young warrior wasn't thinking now, he just wanted to inflict some kind of damage on the Decepticon. The fact that he was a large target, who wasn't moving, standing directly in the line of sight of the huge Commando, didn't occur to him, as it so often didn't.

Clench felt a momentary feeling of satisfaction as his shot dropped Archangel off the skies before he could break the smoke curtain Clench had put up to allow his comrades to escape. Which was something all the three Decepticons fortunately did. Weirdwolf was the first to withdraw and rather surprisingly a mech as stubborn as Skullcruncher was the second one. While it didn't take Mindwipe much longer to fly out of the smoke cloud, Clench couldn't avoid noticing that the hypnotist was hurt.

An appearance of heavily armed, bulky mechanoid clearing out from the smoke interrupted any of the concern Clench might had for Mindwipe's wellbeing. Especially with the Autobot opening fire on him. With his armor mirroring some of the force of the laser beams away from his frame Clench could still feel the heat burning his thick plating. While the barrage wasn't yet enough to hurt him there was no doubt that the Autobot would eventually get through even his formidable armor if Orpheus'd be able to keep shooting at him like that.

Hah, this Autobot is packing some punch but he doesn't seem to be the brightest pile of scrap metal around. He could have used my own smoke barrier to his advantage. Well, not a problem of mine. The massive commando thought as his twin rail cannon turret turned to face Orpheus and fired two hypervelocity projectiles towards the Autobot's torso.

Adding couple more flash and smoke grenades to the fray, Clench hit the pedal to the floor and began rapidly accelerate away from the shoreline after the three other Decepticons that had just passed him on their flightpath over the Rust Sea.

Autobase Tau - Western Exit

Gears watched in terror as he saw Archangel being hit by Clench's rail cannon. At the same time he could see Mindwipe, Skullcruncher and Wierdwolf taking off to the air and towards the hover tank that was bombarding the Autobots on the shoreline. Floating towards the ground, the small Autobot was quickly losing the advantage the heights had given to him when it came to observing the battle. Few things he still could make out of and opened a comm-link line to Springer.

>>"Springer, Archangel got hit! Badly! But the Decepticons seem to be withdrawing. Clench is still firing something I can't quite get clear sight of but he seems to be backing off too. You'd think this is all is just something to trick us away from something more important."<<

As she finished disconnecting the weapon, Sub Zero stirred. She immediately felt an immense wave of relief. Though he was tired and still quite weak, he was going to pull through.

‘I’m glad your awake. As for your armour, it’s that slag pile over there.’

Minerva waved a hand towards the twisted pile of scrap metal that was all that was left of the mech’s armour. She was about to start giving him a system check to ensure everything was working properly when she heard Forte begin to move. Minerva rushed over to her new patient, confidant that Sub Zero was past danger.

Forte I’m so glad your back on line, you’ve been out for quite a while, you got a lot of people worried, I’ll have to tell them your up and about, it’s great to have you online.’

Minerva was practically bouncing around the Med bay as she began to run tests on her patients, it was wonderful seeing them both awake, but sooner or later they’d start to ask questions, about what happened to them, about their comrades, about now. Minerva put these thoughts to the back of her mind, they’d ask when they were ready, no point fretting.

Subzero turned his head to see Forte, the femme he and Wheelbar helped bring into the facility he had wanted to check on her when he returned but here she was up and walking.

Forte! I’m glad to see your ok.”

If Zero could have blushed he would have being a modest bot, he realized he was in the company of two femmes and his servos were exposed, making him feel as naked as a new protoform. He eyed the pile of scrap, his shining silver and black pleating lay in a mangled heap. He let his head fall back down to the table too weak to sustain the position it was in. His visor continued to pulse a dull sapphire blue. Zero off lined his optics as they started to give nothing but static. He would let Minerva work her magic. But as he lay there he spoke to her.

Minerva, we were ambushed. We shouldn’t have been so overwhelmed as we were. Something was not right. I mean I’ve been ambushed before but this time something went wrong. I think Kup called for backup but I’m not sure. Primus I hope they’re still functioning. I promised Wheelbar I would have his back. I tried to override but I ended up here. …… not that being with you is a bad thing Minerva. …… um…. I may need my optics checked.”

He listened to Minerva move about the med-bay and Forte’s footsteps.

As Mindwipe fled, Kup heard his taunts, but wasn't quite sure what the hypnotist meant by them. What happened? seemed to be the question that lingered on the old soldier's processors as the battle wound down. He was too busy to ponder it, however. There was still Decepticon fire coming down on the Autobots' positions on the shore, and troops in danger. One in particular caught his optic - the big, black Autobot who'd been part of the original patrol team with Kup. The flicker of silver from Clench's position was all he needed to see to know that know was the time to act. This is gonna hurt, lad...but it's gonna hurt a whole lot less than a railgun projectile!

Breaking into a dead sprint, Kup slammed into Orpheus with a textbook waist-high tackle, bringing them both to the ground with a tremendous thunk. The old soldier felt the wind from Clench's shot on his back as the projectile streaked into a pile of rubble farther back on the shore, turning twisted metal into even more twisted metal. He stood and began helping Orpheus to his feet.

"Sorry to drop you like that, lad, but we're not losing anyone else this cycle."

Kup saw Clench begin to withdraw with the other three Decepticons. He recognized the huge commando, and knew that Clench alone could probably have killed half the Autobots on the scene before Kup, Springer, and the rest took him down. Thank Primus for small things, I guess.

Prowl's transmission reached his comm unit and he quickly answered. >>"The Decepticons are pullin' back themselves. We've got wounded here, as well. They made a real mess of us, Prowl...and I think I might've had a hand in it being bad as it was. I'll report once we're back at Nu. Kup out."<<

Slinging his musket laser over one shoulder, Kup looked around the area. He saw where Archangel lay on the shore, rotors blown to shreds. Running over, he lifted the severely damaged copter-bot and transformed gingerly into truck mode, placing the fallen medic into his transport bed. You know it's bad when the medic needs a medic.

"Autobots, we're pullin' back to Nu! Give the wounded proper transport and keep on high alert. We don't know if the 'Cons moved more troops in while we were tied up here, so I want Brewer on ambush watch and everyone else to keep their sensors cranked up."

He waited for the others to aid the wounded as necessary and make ready for the move back to base.

Once again, things were just too fast for Brewer to process. Archangel was taken down by a long-range attack from Clench, Orpheus lost his temper, and now the group was moving back to the base. The S&R Specialist almost questioned Kup's command to watch for any other ambushes, wanting to take Archangel back to Autobase Nu, himself, but he knew it wasn't the best idea to argue in such a serious situation.

Being the least injured, it all made sense, so he hung in the back of the group, keeping close watch of any hiding Decepticons of any specialty within his optic range.

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

The fembot was a little shocked by the joyous greeting from Minerva and Sub Zero. She pressed her knuckles to her metallic lips and watched as the female medic dashed left and right and any other direction to gather whatever she needed. Noticing Sub Zero with practically no armor on, the small femme nearly yelp in embarrassment and turned away, mumbling apologies too fast to be understood. With such actions, no one would guess how she could be so dangerous on the battlefield.

Still facing her back from the injured mech, Forte questions, "W-where's Brewer?" It was a bit hard to understand what she had said with her knuckles still on her lips. "Is he ok?"

The Decepticon had, barely, escaped Juggernaut's massive hammer, but couldn't escape the small earthquake he had produced by hammering it into the ground. Unfortunately Weirdwolf had promptly acted and fired some missiles at him. The impact on Jugger looked terrofying and he was for a brief moment engulfed in flames, but soon the fire extinquished by itself and the massive form of Juggernaut appeared from the smoke, unharmed and pissed off.
"You little..." he looked around and found no Decepticon to punish. Weirdwolf had bought himself some time and used it to get the hell out of the mess they had created. In the near distance he could identify a Decepticon much bigger than he; Clench.
"You won't get away so easily, con-scum" the gigantic Autobot transformed and send a deadly salvo towards the escaping enemies.
"Understood" he responded to Kup, still having all visual sensors towards Clench and company as he rolled towards the others to form formation.

Minerva received Prowl’s message with a grimace, at least he had stopped trying to tell her to recharge. Judging by what Sub Zero was saying the casualties would be heavy. Minerva would need some help, she was low on power, and didn’t know if Archangel or Brewer were in a fit state to work. she hoped one of them would report in soon.

‘Forte, Brewer went out wit the others to repel the assault, and as for Wheelbar Sub Zero, I haven’t heard anything about him so I really can’t tell you anything.’

Turning to face Forte, Minerva asked

Forte, are you willing to help me get patients to beds and co-ordinate the priority list? I’m a little short staffed at the moment.’

Minerva didn’t wait for a reply but instead turned towards Sub Zero

‘And you are defiantly going to help, just as soon as I fix your vision.’

With that Minerva swiftly removed the casings on Sub Zero’s optics, just as she thought he had a couple of poor connections, probably shaken loose during the fight, it would be a simple soldering job to repair them.

‘Now both of you, I want you to quickly get some energon into your systems, you’ll need it.

Zero smiled as he listened to Minerva’s voice. He heard her footsteps as she approached to reset his optics. With a brilliant flash they came online once more. Looking up into her face he spoke with a kind tone.

“Of course I’ll help. I wasn’t so bad last time, I learn fast, I’m a pro by now.” He grinned then spoke again with a somber face.
“I don’t mean to sound like Prowl but…… how about Forte and I get things set up with the help of the drones, while you grab some energon. I have a feeling this is going to be more than we expect.”

Stiffly he sat himself up. He would have to quire some battle quality armor later, for now he would retrieve something decent to put on from the storage and grab some energon. Then he would assist Forte. His newly fixed optic visor swept the room making a mental inventory of things that looked like they needed restock, and which machines looked like they should be turned on. With a soft clang his feet hit the floor. He made his way to the storage and was quickly fitted with temporary armor ….. at least it was in his natural colors.

He tended to look at the glass half full which was a welcome thing to most of his comrades. He took a small cube of energon and downed it quickly, then moved towards the tables. He motioned for the drones to help clear them and prep them for incoming bots. He sent one drone for the restock items and the other to check the repair modules. Although Zero knew almost nothing about medical equipment he knew the drones would, and all they needed was a little direction.

He looked over to Minerva,
Minerva, Anything specific you would like me to do? If not I’ll wing it.”
He turned to Forte,
“Let me know if you need any help, I’ll assist as best as I can.”

His attention was caught by the gurney he had used to bring the injured bots in last time. A thought popped into his head. Looking around he found two more, strategically he lined them in the hall in anticipation of their use. It would make things much smoother if the equipment was in easy reach.

Highway Grid - Shoreline

He couldn't understand what exactly was going on, mostly because he was stuck flat on his back and couldn't see anything past his torso. He could remember that the fighting had continued since he was hit, but he could not decipher what had happened just by hearing gunfire and crashing noises...

"Autobots, we're pullin' back to Nu! Give the wounded proper transport and keep on high alert..." WheelBar could barely hear Kup in the background giving the orders.
What had happened? Did the Decepticons pull out? ...or was it just the first wave?...
Unfortunately WheelBar had more pressing matters. He tried to sum up his medical condition in his head, hoping htere was something he could do to aid himself until someone found him:
1, He couldn't move his entire right side. 2, He had managed to turn his left foot back into its normal self, but the right one was jammed.

He thought that was it, but someting new hit him.. His equilibrium seemed off balance, making his head spin. And his vision was blurring. That was what worried him most. He carefully moved his injured left arm over his chest and slid his motionless arm (painfully) away from his chest and saw what he had feared. His chest had been peirced by the barrage of bullets as well. He could be internally leaking fluid.

"Well...look at what mess I've...gotten myself into.." WheelBar moaned sarcastically.
He relayed a message to his other teammates, hoping someone would answer...
>

That was all he had in him before his mind faded...

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

Trying to understand the orders given to her by Minerva and Sub Zero, Forte nodded and looked about while Zero got himself decent and refueled. She wasn't exactly sure what to do in a medical facility. The only expirience she had was when Brewer was in the battle field and she was helping him get patients back to the base. The small lavendar fembot pointed out a couple of drones to get beds fixed and arranged, hoping that such actions would help. Overhearing the transmission from Prowl, she remembered that energon was being sent over.

"Um," Forte lowered her fist of knuckles from her mouth, "could three of you drones make sure that the energon supplies are sent successfully in the storage room?" Their response was a simple nod and they hovered away to their assigned duty.

Highway Grid - Shoreline

He looked over the area, watching, waiting for his team to get moving, when he recieved a transmission from Wheelbar. "Hang on, buddy," Brewer mumbled to himself, and look around, soon finding the now passed out bot some many meters away. He ran over, hoping that the team would be fine without a lookout at least until he was done with his new patient.

Looking over the young mech, he didn't need anyone to tell him there was a pretty critcal condition in his hands. Brewer pulled out his small kit from subspace and began stabalizing what he could get to without having to do major surgery - that would have to wait until the got back to the base. Once the fluids were at least fixed up to minor leaks, Brewer set Wheelbar to stasis mode, not wanting the young bot to have to wake up from temporary unconsciousness in such a state.

He lifted Wheelbar into his arms and walked back to his post until they moved out. Hopefully someone could take care of his patient, but he didn't mind if no one was available.

Highway Grid ~ Shoreline

He hadn't a clue as to what was going on. One moment he was unloading on the Decepticon who had shot down Archangel, next thing he knew, he was on the ground with something heavy on top of him. As he was pulled back to his feet, Orpheus wasn't best pleased at being stopped from his attack, his lust for battle clouding his thoughts, not yet seeing that he had just been saved from certain deactivation by the old warrior's actions.

As he watched Kup walk away, over towards the crumpled heap that was Archangel, the realisation that that was his closest friend laying on the ground cut through the haze hanging over his thoughts from the battle, and Orpheus moved to go and help the fallen Medic, when he saw the veteran beat him to it, placing Archangel in the back of his truck, before issuing the order to pull back to base. The pain in his arm shook him back to the current situation, as Orpheus pulled his arm close into him, walking over towards the rest of those falling back, when he recieved Wheelbar's call for help.

Picking up the signal, the young warrior turned back away and began to look through the slowly dispersing smoke, catching sight of Brewer carrying someone, who, upon closer inspection, was the 'Bot he was looking for. Moving over, Orpheus could see that Wheelbar was in really bad shape, and was in need of transport back to base "Hey, uh Brewer, you need me to take Wheelbar off your hands?" The black 'bot offered, still holding his half eaten arm as he did so.

A bit further away, Silverbolt was just getting back to his feet, his thoughts finally breaking free of the haze that had been hanging over them for the last half of the battle. Unfortunately, his outer form was far from back to normal, with the significant damage inflicted on him by Weirdwolf, through both teeth and missiles, in addition to the gattling fire from Clench, had left the Aerialbot Commander grounded until further repairs "Heh, I suppose I should be thankful for small mercies" Silverbolt thought as he struggled back to his feet, grabbing his rifle as well.

>>Silverbolt Sir, come in, this is Skydive, are you OK?<<

The voice of his second in command burst through his commlink as he watched the ground patrol begin their retreat back to the base.

>>I'm fine Skydive, nothing a bit of repairs won't fix. What's with the tone of urgency in your voice?<<

Silverbolt replied as he spotted Air Raid walking towards him, slightly the worse for wears as well from his participation in the battle.

>>I've been attempting to contact you for some time, why haven't you responded? It looks like something's happening up in Polyhex, but we can't make it out from our current position, what are our orders?<<

The Aerialbot Commander was slightly confused, he hadn't recieved any commlink messages since Kup contacted him before the patrol commenced. As he greeted Air Raid and told him to head off back to base for repairs, Silverbolt remembered the noise his systems picked up earlier in the battle.

>>It seems that the Decepticon's down here have been jamming communications for the duration of the battle Skydive. As for orders, I wouldn't be surprised if the 'Cons have launched an attack to coincide with what happened here, but I want you to hold position until I've got in contact with Prowl back at base, if anything is going on, he'll be sure to know<<

A quick and simple 'Understood' returned from Skydive as Silverbolt began the walk back to base, opening up a secure commlink to Prowl as he walked.

>>Prowl Sir, Silverbolt reporting in. Skydive has just got in contact with me, he's reporting possible Decpeticon activity in Polyhex, but cannot confirm from his current location, has Omega Supreme reported anything?<<

Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
Autobase Nu - Command Center

At Silverbolt's transmission, Prowl set aside his continuing analysis of the series of battles and skirmishes that had enveloped Cybertron in order to formulate a reply.

>>I copy that, Silverbolt. Omega Supreme is currently under attack by Decepticon air forces. Doesn't seem to be anything he can't handle--at the moment. Nonetheless, I believe we should take every precaution. You and the Aerialbots will escort the patrols back to the Autobase, then resume your patrol of the Polyhex border until you receive further instructions. Permission to meet any provocative Decepticon activity with force is authorized.<<
