Highway Grid ~ Shoreline
The pain from Weirdwolf's bite coupled with the lingering haze from Mindwipe's attack were still hampering Silverbolt's effectiveness. He could feel his knee impact on the beast's side, but he couldn't react in time as Weirdwolf switched modes and grabbed his arm, overpowering the Aerialbot Commander in the process. Bracing himself for what the backwards talking Decepticon had planned, Silverbolt was instead caught in the blast from Air Raid's torque rifle attack, not as much as Weirdwolf, but enough to cause damage to his armor.
As annoyed as he was with his fellow Aerialbot's carelessness, it had forced his foe to release the grip on his arm, but still there was no chance for a rest as Weirdwolf went once more with his sword, it was all Silverbolt could do to bring his arm up to shield himself and wait for the impact.
Once more though, nothing came, it seemed that this was the Aerialbot Commander's lucky cycle as he was saved yet again from serious harm, this time first by Wheelbar and then Ingram, both putting themselves in the firing line to protect him. Taking the opportunity, Silverbolt got back to a crouching position, trying to shrug off the pain in his shoulder, and gritted his teeth as he made a dash to recover his rifle, only to be caught in Weirdwolf's retaliatory attacks, one of the missiles catching him square on his back, blowing him right past his rifle on the ground, and once more leaving him in pain, in a heap on the ground.
His armor smoking from the impact, Silverbolt rolled over to look back towards his rifle, wincing in pain, when his vision was wrecked, first with intense brightness, then smoke covered the area, reducing visibility to almost nothing. As he lay there, trying to figure out what to do, tracer fire ripped through the smoke, pelting the Aerialbot Commander's already damaged armor, keeping him pinned to the ground.
His strikes were ineffectual, no matter how much force he brought down on Skullcruncher's head, the beast refused to release his vicegrip on Orpheus' arm. Whatever feeling he had was almost gone, his arm was rendered inoperable, and it was slowly being teared apart as the grip tightened. As he was reaching his threshold for pain, Springer's attack finally removed Skullcruncher from his arm, allowing the young warrior to get back to his feet.
His arm was a mess. The missile launcher had been crushed, his hand wasn't moving, and the whole arm from the joint downward was hanging off, and the black 'Bot was favoring it heavily, holding it close to his body as he staggered backwards away from the Decepticon warrior who was now focused on making Springer pay for interrupting his meal. With his left arm done, Orpheus no longer had the option of using his chaingun, as not even he could operate it with only one hand, which left him with just his shoulder mounted laser cannons.
Watching on as Springer launched himself at Skullcruncher, Orpheus waited for the chance to open fire on the beast, only to lose sight of both he and Springer as the bombardment of smoke and flash grenades covered the area. Losing his target in the smoke, Orpheus was staggered further back as he was caught in Clench's fire, his now useless arm taking a lot of the shots as it hung limp in front of his torso. He could do nothing with the smoke covering the area, his laser cannons were too dangerous to just fire blindly into the smoke.
Archangel knew his place, he was to follow the others in, assist with attacking only if absolutely neccessary, and fix up those who were damaged, if needs be, under enemy fire. Flying low over the highways of Nova Cronum, the Medic watched as the area below was showered with smoke grenades and pelted with gattling gun fire from offshore, everyone but him was on the ground. Swooping down, Archangel flew as close to the ground as possible, as fast as his rotor blades could turn, his intention being to try and clear some of the smoke hampering the Autobots on the ground.
