Cybertron Primus: Thoughts and Comments?
I know I said I wouldn't buy anything out of the movie line, but looking a bit more closely at what's out there has gotten me a little bit more greedy. So...
I missed out on getting Armada Unicron because when it came out, i frankly wasn't interested in toys. Now I have an opportunity to purchase another planet transformer. So, would appreciate thoughts from anyone owning Supreme class Cybertron Primus. What do you like and not like about him?

In my opinion, he's great, esp since you can find him cheap for about 20-24 USD. I went ahead and purchased Unicron to go with him, which is bad, since now I want the Energon repaint. The only thing I have never really liked is the whole cybertron planet keys on the toy. Transforming Primus is also a very long process- but thats expected.

Primus is made of pure win.
I gots mine on the desk with me.
Especially now you can get him cheap, there is no better time to purchase this excellent figure.
He makes Unicron look really poor by comparison.

Best Supreme Class TF ever. Simply awesome. Hasbro should use the mould again and again in future Series.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

It's a nice toy, full of gimmicks. The cyber-key transformation simultaneously takes away the joy of transformation, but also adds to the greatness of it... if that makes any sense. Also, it's friggin' Cybertron... you get to own Cybertron! I'd snap one up if you can, especially if it's on sale.

TRU in the UK are clearing them out for £25 at the moment. I really want Primus but just can't bring myself to buy it. The Unicron head version still shows up on ebay from time to time and I'll eventually grab that, even though it'll be about three to five times as much. Of course if I see an auction for just the head...

Anyone have any clue why TRU are clearancing Primus? Is it just taking up too much shelf space.
I have to say, it did look like the shelf stacker was having problems yesterday with his 10 odd boxes of transformers of varying sizes
You might as well buy Primus for £25 waaaaghlord, and then just buy the head off the ebay later.

Err... where exactly can you purchase him for that price? The prices I've seen have been in the USD$44-48 range.

He has features and gimmicks that actually add to the play value and display value of the toy instead of detracting from it.
He is finely detailed in both modes, his planet mode in particular is beautifully done, his rubber parts are fairly strong, and his rubber legs support his weight very well.
The transformation is fairly simple, but you still have to transform him the correct order, so there is enough complexity to keep you coming back.
Also for such a large toy, he is fairly easy to pose and balance in robot mode.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

He is a great solid all around figure. Get him if you can. I cannot think of anything bad to say about Primus.

I have him. His planet mode is very detailed, but Hasbro was cheap with paint apps, so it all gets lost in the sea of plastic unless you look closely. Robot mode, he is friggin' awesome. Still short on the paint apps, but not as bad. He's huge (at least to me), but not as big as Unicron, or even supreme Starscream. He is, the right size, and not over-bloated like those other two are though. A very nice figure! I am glad I got mine. He's really neat. Just do NOT lose that Omega Lock.
