I can clearly tell there's some not-final problems with him, but that's pretty terrible. Why does he have such a big upper body?

My guess is that the torso of the figure is missing, making the legs look far scrawnier than they should be. Remember the early pics of Universe Inferno that didn't have the crotch area folded down right, making it look silly? Same thing here I'm thinking.

Hmm...so we've sort of of seen the vehicle mode pics for this, and now a bot mode. Hopefully they would make Ironhide out of it too.

Really? Looks a little too articulated for an Activator to me, the legs are very similar to the deluxe Ratchet.

The face is intentionally damaged because it's a prototype. This is common practice on a lot of prototypes to make it less desirable.

The upper legs look pretty similar to the deluxe version. I'm assuming this is perhaps a retooling of Earth-mode Ratchet so that we can get an Ironhide figure as well?

Poor Ratchet, they really love sanding back the faces on these test shots.

Will be an automatic purchase for me, since Flashback Cybertron Ratchet has been getting more screentime than Earth mode Ratchet.

Oh we'll get an Ironhide fore sure out of this. It's an easy sell & repaint.
