Though cartoon accurate in some aspects, the body looks too boxy slender. Is there a way to make the chest appear more separate from his hips? And the face needs to be improved. Just an honest input.

I agree,I don't need 3rd party toys more boxy than the 1980's toys or cartoon episodes art were.

Im not trying To take credit for your famed line. All I did was reiterate what you said. But either he didnt catch you post or it was me repeating it that pushed him over the edge. Anyways, the box art looks awesome. Its a shame that the figure wont be those proportions. Everything I was trying to explain about what his figure needed aesthetically, Hasbro captured in their versions robot mode. Sadly, Hasbro made it transform into a giant, out of scale macross jet. So daca wins the alt mode, but Hasbro wins with the robot mode.

Meh, Hasbro's version is ok. Ill get it but its not much better than this if any....depending on your tastes I guess

Wow, that is looking amazing! It has come a long way from the first renders. I like the detailing on the figure; it looks like it has much better depth whereas the previous pics made it look so flat. The proportions look so much better, too. I can't wait to see some paint.

In some ways, I hope this is too expensive for me. He's huge and I'm running out of room on my shelves.

That price is surprisingly low. An official MP would probably be $300+ (more if they have to work something out with Harmony Gold)...

Wow, it's f**king huge! And even with only the prototype, looks superior to Hasbro's Leader Class version. Much more accurate to the character. I will probably pick this up for sure.

Hasbro don't have to work anything out with Harmony gold. They pretty much won the lawsuit. I'm sure they added that flip on helmet thing to leader class Jetfire so it resembles the Macross design more just to "spit in their faces" lol

I still prefer the HasTak 30th Jetfire leader version. Because it's was brillant doing a 1985 Jetfire toy jet mode with a sleeker looking 1985 Jetfire cartoon robot mode.

I'll admit Deca did improve the Robot mode on Kronos. The Kronos Jet mode still looks overly boxy,undersculpted & terrible.

Even though it's a low price for 3rd party toy this scale. Kronos is simply not worth me spending $165 on.

I disagree with you on the Jetfire alt mode. While leader scale is perfect for Skyfire in robot mode on a CHUG shelf, a macross jet is a fighter so it's out of scale. At least Skyfire's alt mode is more of a transport jet.

I'm waiting to see what FansToys do before making a decision. Theirs will be a bit more expensive, but they are saying it'll be bigger as well. Besides, I can't help feeling the FT one will look better.

I've seen a few here positively comment on the improvements of this toy.
I'm just wondering who's actually going to be buying this toy.

I never liked this toy from day One. Sorry,I just don't need 3rd party TF toys more overly boxy than the original 1980's HasTak toy versions.
While I think the robot mode looks terrible,The jet mode looks even worse.

Yep, I noticed that too. These pics came too late for me unfortunately. I'd cancelled my preorder sometime ago but was starting to reconsider that after seeing the latest pics. Of course when I went to look on BBTS, all gone, sold out, sorry

Oh well, I still wasn't completely sold on it (but that alt mode does look great) and wanted to wait for a fully completed/painted version in pics before deciding anyway.
