Could be they just haven't crossed paths yet.
Actually yeah. With Arrow, they said it was meant to be the DC Universe, but without super-powered characters.

They don't call him Superman for nothing....

Makes ya wonder if Louis ever gets worried when she sees that glint in Clark's eyes?

Autobot032 wrote:However, all the people behind it say it's nowhere near as dark or serious as a Nolan film and there's some lighthearted and funny moments throughout the picture.

I admit, the sequels have been iffy at best, but the Richard Donner original from 1978, while campy (and it's effects severely outdated) is more than decent. It's classic cinema.
It looks fantastic on Blu-ray.

That and Superman II, let's not forget.
OptiMagnus wrote:I should clarify I do like Donner's work very well. The original movie was the best, II was okay and the rest were godawful. I'd like to get the first two movies on Blu-Ray though.
Autobot032 wrote:You're in luck, Wal*Mart, which is where I bought it, has a BD 3-pack of Superman: The Movie, Superman II The Richard Donner Cut and Superman Returns for $9.88
5.1 and 7.1 surround on the last film, 5.1 on the first two. And they look fantastic.

Well...his tights were always blue. Now, if you mean his super-briefs, I didn't even notice that until someone pointed it out to me. My problem is that the suit is too dark, it makes him look wet in some shots.

Yeah, I meant his briefs. And I agree with suit being too dark. Even the S on the chest is kinda weird. But whatever. I got past bat-nipples 15 years ago, this won't be a problem. Looking forward to it, actually.
Will it be yet another take on the origin, since Jor-El is in it, or some sort of sequel? I would love to see Krypton and its destruction with the effects technology of today.
