oh and if u dont like using colour (personnally i dont either so were are the same there) I would recomend getting some idian ink, it can be a little trick but oncce u get the hang of it it is really lovely to use-it is what i used on the megs pic i posted.

Thanks for liking my work, indian ink is cool, I saw this realy cool pen with all sorts of exchangabul fethers. I'm saving my mony on that, since it's quite expensiv. So till I get it I'll have to stik with my Faber Castell Manga artist pac.

Dont get an indian ink pen, personnally i always use sheap ass pens, so long as the dont run it doesnt matter-get urself an old fashioned bottle of ink and a cheap paint brush. U mix the ink with water to give u about a million different shades of grey, its great.

U dont need money to do art, i spend hardly any at all-if u shop smart (and tell the shop ur an artist-they give u a discount) then u can have a full studio set up for a fiver, or at least u can fill ur pencil case![/quote]

i have looked at your stuff and the propotions are well placed in Some Pictures the Colouring Work could be better in places but to be honest.

The Talent is there and everydrawing is a learning Curve i Say

You would be suprised at the amount of people that have the talent to draw but dont have a Clue on Prespective and prepotions and Everything seems all over the place every time Without them noticing but i can see you coming along very well in the detail you add

I'll never be done with lerning, it's like this art will alway improve it will never stay the same. And as for color, I don't enjoy coloring as much as doing pencel work, but I just have to practice it.

if you wanna improve on your colouring as i can see your using felts and the probem with felts tip pens is that they bleed really bad often i suggest on the next piece use coloring pencils. this will stop all the bleeding. and colour to the curves in places and then darken slightly to give the extra depth needed

This is true-felts used straight are pretty much worth less, unless u are using the $150 sets used by industrial designers, and even then those things are pretty boring to use!

depending on the paper you use as well paints can be great to get a good colour deptyh going

my old pic

that was done with standard felts but the paper was thicker then your normal printer paper and the back ground used pencils

And digital art this one was done by a friend at IDW Limabean the guy doing a few of the spotlights

Well my pics are prove wat you can do with an expensive scetching paper and those Copic markers. They are expensive as hell, but look better in person then on those scaned pics, but still you can see that they are markers.

Oh and evilratbat, Nice pics! So you know a guy from IDW? Cool.

Don't Colour Them then Let someone Else do it I am working on Grims stuff had a break yesterday due to sorting out films and tf collection at the moment. you have a good style its just the colour takes away the depth that you use

thanks for saying I've got a good stile

But the thing with coloring, I'm practacing with photoshop now and I'm starting to get the hang of it. And with that mouse pen I'm going to order it'll be esier than with a normal mouse.

you would think that but it depends on the size of your tablet in general and the program you use and the knowledge of layers and more before you really get the hang of it correctly

I'm using Adobe Photoshop! I know my way with layers and I don't have a tablet. The thing I'm ordering don't cost so much it's just a mouse in pen form designed for artists.

By the way how do I post pics on a forum without them being an atachment?

pretty easy really get a photo bucket account from photonbucket.com

when uploaded you will have a line sayin img(filename)/img copy and paste that into any replies and that will show the mage via the image location tag used from photo bucket
