Decepticons buried on the Moon

Anybody have any theories on why they are buried on the Moon?

They had a crash landing and were thrown from the ship and then the dust and dirt covered them. thats my theory

It was the Autobot ship the Ark that crashed. No Decepticons I believe were on the ship at the time.

It was the Autobot ship the Ark that crashed. No Decepticons I believe were on the ship at the time.
But those were decepticon ships that were taking off from the moon. So maybe there was some sort of chase and both ships crash landed on the moon. Or maybe the decepticons set up shop there and were deactivated/stasis mode? I dunno. Just ideas. We'll find out on the 1rst.

Well…my idea is that-well let me type it
The Decepticons on the Darksyde are chasing the Ark and they both crash on the moon…………………………………………………………………………… (Represents the Time in till the Human race got to the moon)…………………………………………………………and the humans discover the Ark but they can’t find any Transformers that are intact enough to take back, so they go to the Darksyde and find a intact specimen…Shockwave!.................................................. (time till the Bot’s came to earth) when the Autobots come to earth, the government decides to keep NBE-2 even more secret then ever, yadayadayadayada Megatron finds out about the secret of the moon and uses some gadget to wake up the Cons aboard the Darksyde and teleports them here. Optimus is really pissed at the humans for keeping this a secret from them
