I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened sooner. It's a decent enough idea but wasn't hello kitty at the height of it's popularity like ten years ago? This idea is a little late i would think. Maybe i'm wrong?

This crossover makes more sense to me than the Disney crossover line though..... THAT SUCKED! IMO

My two daughters who are 6 and 4 saw the picture and was like hello kitty hello kitty and then I told them that they are going to possibly make a hello kitty transformer and they were extremely excited as you can imagine little girls would be. They are like "daddy, you got to get one for us because this is for girls, not for boys!" They want this toy and I'm probably going to get it for them!

To the few mentions of Hello Kitty maybe not the best idea, either as a company/monetarily, I can attest that Hello Kitty is a very strong seller where I live and work at. Hello Kitty is actually probably the most consistant seller I've seen out of all franchises. Granted that means anything from stickers to lipgloss, but as a franchise Hello Kitty seems as strong a topic as ever.

Not sure how this crossover will play out though. I have no further comments to what I've stated so I'll be going *leaves thread* :lol:

And now my two cents....I can't say I'm too crazy about this one Takara has chosen. Yeah it could be worse but I'd hate to think how. I feel within the last 2 years (I think) Hello Kitty has gotten a re-boot in popularity so I think the timing is right on. I have a 11 year old niece and I have bought here a lot of HK stuff. It's carried at Hottopic and even Target had a freakin' end cap for HK in their make-up section. Not to mention I saw at Target a blender and a toaster for HK...a freakin' toaster!! Where the hell is my toaster of Megatron's head Takara when you push down to toast his eyes light up red and when the toast pops you hear that classic sound blast from his canon...well Takara?

So that said I think the popularity is there more than most think. Now if she were transform into Ravage looking all white and pink with that bow behind ravage's ear that would be cool looking! Yeah I know the transformation would be from cat to cat but just think. I did like G1 colors of Mickey and I like how Disney paid tribute to a long time favorite. So I just had to buy him leaving it MISB for all to see, but this one I know my niece will think it's totally cool. I may have to buy her 2 to open one and keep the other sealed just like her uncle with his TF's....'nuff said!

Sorry guys- make fun of me if you want, but I'm getting the Halloween Mickey Prime. First, I LOVE Halloween, second Mickey is AWESOME, and third, if it's there, I'm picking it up on Memorial Day weekend at Disney World when I go with the 501st to help with the reopening of Star Tours. Never been to Disney World before, and I'm excited!

Yeah I know that but the way peoples fist are a shaking at Takara for making HK TF's and not gi joe TF crossovers, the HK TF's might as well have some pr0n to go along with it.

That's just it right there. THis new crossover is going to bring a lot of new people into the Transformer concept. I Don't know of anyone that doesn't think Transformers aren't cool but they wouldn't ever be interested in buying one.

Hello kitty will broaden the demigraphic i would think. Far more than a Donald Duck TF would and therefore make TF's that much "neater" to some people. I believe more people are into HK than dated Disney characters.

I'd like to see what they will look like in bot mode. They're gonna sell like hot cakes.
