I cant wait till Tuesday, my pol arrives. Ill try and post some pics with the energon set. I hope the bright red crotch doesnt stand out too much from the darker red silverbolt. If it does, ill mix and match with the ROTF set.

DMY? :-? ,I think they should have named this 3rd company DIY. As this add on kit involves heavily taking apart the Hastak toy to add the parts.

Can someone please post some pics of the regular ROTF Superion with no add-ons next to this superion with the FP add-ons & with the DMY add-ons attached.

Personally,I think it's a bit crazy having two sperate add ons for this Hastak Superion Combiner.

What I find the sad is that there are two sperate add ons for this combiner. Yet nobody bothered to create Two unquie new mold limbs for this toy. Like FP did with Bruticus.

I might have bought the FP Add ons had they came packaged with brand new molds limbs-bots like FP Did with Bruticus.

I think the Energon Devastator was the worse of the lot here. That's why nobody even bothered to create 3rd party add ons for it. Still it would have been fun to see FP Create Three limbs-bots for this toy. the 6th member could have transformed into a headmaster,a back pack, shoulder canons or a gestalt chest wing plus waist plate. maybe even a targetmaster for the gestalt to wield.

LOL quite right. I think people need a degree of confidence to make it work, but tinkering with it is quite fun in itself :) My review of Superion has been updated to allow for these new parts now, basically the robot mode appearance went up by one point but quality went down by the same :)

So, I caved and pre-ordered this from BBTS yesterday.

First question:
So the bits requiring taking apart the original figures, is this limited to Silverbolt's head, or should I be expecting more?

Second question:
Is there any change anyone has the "snowman" version of this kit attached to a regular Crossfire set, with pictures? Just asking as BBTS has the "snowman" still available....

I got a question...why do they give you a two options for the antenna ? The cool version wont allow the jets cockpit to close. And I really hate the "wide" version, it's almost as bad as the rubber bat ears that come stock. Im tempted to put the wide ones on just for transformations sake, but it seems those probally wont let the cockpit snap close unless you attach the wide plate backwards. Is that what you did ?

I just attached the wide set the right way around, it does allow the cockpit to close. But, there is another flaw to contend with, which is the fault of silverbolt itself. Every time you fold the gestalt head into the cockpit area, it is hard to do so because the base of the head and the housing for it collide. It's worse when pulling the head back out, because the housing actually pinches the back of the head, putting stress on the plastic and screws in the head assembly. This issue was always present but the flexible plastic of the stock antennae made it less obvious. My solution was to shave about 2mm of plastic from either side of the nosecone with a craft knife, where the head makes the contact. With this done, the head makes no contact with the surrounding plastic on the way in or out.

Yeah I already cracked one of those inside screw holes. I was able to get the head in the cockpit with the wide set, but damn it was fiddly.
