There are two things I want to see done with the Generations Laser Prime, RID-Scourge and Toxitron.

Do these Has/Tak and my wallet is yours....

The henkei version is a good a G1 remake as you can get. And FP's trailer more than fills the void. I wish that the upcoming G2 inspired Prime is like compatible to the original G2 tanker trailer.

And the repaint of the horrid and sucky "tomy"(no pun intended) gun deserves to be trashed.

No, it just isn't the same kind of truck. In Armada they were going with a monster truck vibe (I don't really see it) which is why the tires read "Monster Prime Convoy."

Watch the RID Scourge/Nemesis Prime repaint be a convention exclusive. The outrage will be immense.

...I shouldn't have said that. :-(

Well, yeah. Though some slightly darker (and perhaps metallic) red plastic might be nice.

Unfortunately, the images posted for UN-06 don't bode well for that. I don't understand why this lame mold continues to be recycled.

Of course, Hasbro could do something different. But that would be surprising.

The Voyager mold is rumored to have been used too many times already, so it's possible it's degraded beyond future use.

I wouldn't mind a new G1 Optimus Prime in the next round of Classics/Generations. I'm hoping for a Powermaster Prime that combines with his trailer, unlikely as that may be.

I, too am fine with the Classics Prime mold (Though I'm also totally fine with the Classics white, purple and green Megatron, so does my opinion really count?) I have the WFC Generations Prime, and am eagerly anticipating the G2 Laser Rod Prime update. To be honest, however, if Hasbro/Takara Tomy decided to knock another G1 inspired Prime out in an upcoming line, I'd be all for it. There are many people who are always bitching out things like "Oh, look, another f**king Optimus Prime. Why can't they reserve new mold designs for less used characters instead of doing the same character over and over?" but in the case of Prime, I'm always up for another one.

That would be truly awesome, but then it would have been truly awesome if Classics Prime had come with a trailer period (combining or non-combining). Same with movie, Animated, ETC.

I remember an age when toys were sold as the "whole enchilada". Nice big boxes containing the character in its entirety, like G1 Prime. But like all toy companies, Hasbro is cutting costs while raising prices. While companies like Bandai shrink their figures and/or use cheaper plastics, Hasbro just leaves off large chunks of the figure and/or paint apps. It all amounts to inferior or unfinished feeling products.

And yes, a new Generations Op would be nice, provided it was an improvement over the previous one. That means either including a trailer/base part OR scaling the figure up to an ultra scale with some lights or sounds and a removable Matrix.

Of course this is wishful thinking that will never be put into actual application.

bengear wrote:- Fake truck grill abs - I think it's a cheap way out when you have a perfectly good truck grill to work with and during transformation you flip it around and hide it only to reveal ANOTHER smaller truck grill to use as his abdomen. I'm actually not a fan of the masterpiece OP in that respect (but ONLY in that respect since the rest is awesome except for his feet that fall off).

- Size - he's a bit too small and should be larger than the other auto-cars.

I'd have to disagree. Particularly with these points. Size, as you know, pretty much goes out the window with Transformers, and he is still bigger than all the deluxe cars I think.

The fake grill is a necessity for a good OP in my opinion. Any realistic looking truck grill is way too big, flat and square to form a good set of Optimus-style robo abs. So I think the second grill is an ingenious bit of engineering which allows both a better truck mode and a better robot mode.

All respect to you for putting you opinion out there though. 8) I have my own figures that I don't rate (Powerglide, Grimlock, Octane) and I know some people will love those figures. That's one of the cool things about the fandom though. Everyone has a different view or a different fav character.

I would dig a Powermaster/God Ginrai Prime. I will probably get the G2 Prime if I think it looks good, or maybe wait for the repaint. Think I'll go off and check the G2 Prime gallery and TFWiki first though, as I'm not too familiar with G2 Prime. Time to get my education on.

Edit: Did some looking around at G2 Prime - it is a good likeness and he did always have the sword, so that's pretty cool. Still don't know whether to get it or the inevitable repaint though. Oh, and they've been doing the fake grill thing pretty much for every figure after the original G1 -Powermaster Prime had a fake grill and chest-windscreen, and that was 1988!

Also, the original Laser Prime had this (from TFWiki):
The sides of the trailer are decorated with an unintentionally humourous sticker depicting Prime using a flamethrower to burn down a forest, with the words "Optimus Prime Octane" over the image.

Hehehe!

A Matrix! Yes, I would love it if every Prime came with a removable matrix.

Hopefully, since Prime has his Trailer in TF3, Hasbro will give us a new toy with his trailer. I would even take a re-release of RotF Prime with a trailer if that is the only way they could manage it.

And maybe if TF3 Prime has a trailer, that will plant ideas for a new Classics/Generations Prime with a trailer.

I was thinking about this earlier and came to the conclusion I would love either a reissue or updated G2 HERO Optimus Prime. I have the R.I.D "Scourge" version and think its just as cool as his Laser Rod brother - especially with that enormous cannon on his arm.
