So i bought DOTM Shockwave and roadbuster. but it really bugged me that the deluxes mechtech could not stay "extended". SO i started messin with roadbuster's one and managed to fixed it.

I used a paper fastener and some super glue.

I don't have a pic of the ORIGINAL insides of RB's weapon but here's a pic of the modded one.

I cut and bent one of the legs of the fastener and glued it inside roadbuster's mechtech.
It basically makes it tighter and holds the mechtech in the extended position by friction.

There you have it. I would mod more mechtech when i get um. Im gettin topspin next.

Nicely done! I did something similar, except I just narrowed the slot that the little control knob slides thru. At the back of its travel, it gets wedged in place and keeps the blades extended.

Yeah thats what i planned on doing 1st... but i tried to ticken the slots with hot glue and it just screwed up. so i scraped the whole mess off and did this

I expect to mod every mechtech. With most I'll be chopping them up and making smaller weapons. I hate oversized weapons.

awesome.
for me i will most likely just use elastic bands

maybe those annoying seethrough ones that keep kibble in place in package, cos then they'll have a use and it will look more convincing.

Lol. i normally just cut thoes off and were getting less of that in this line

dont start.
i, for one, am totally for the old silver plastic twist ties, cos normally half the time the string is so tight that you have to cut it and scratch the paint .

the only mechtech i have is skyhammer...his is stupid... I moved his missile pods to his wrists for robot mode and gave his mechtech to Universe Onslaught
