DOTM MechTech weapons: How do you keep them open?
I have Shockwave and Megatron from DOTM, and I noticed that while Shockwave's weapon can be locked in the open position, Megatron's cannot. At least, not that I notice. I went to the Seibertron.com picture gallery for Megatron and there are pictures of the weapon in the open position with no visible signs of rubber bands or anything. Can this weapon stay open on it's own or not? If so, how?

The Deluxe weapons have no lock at all, but the Voyager weapons do. The latter have a button (or in Megatron's case, the ladder) somewhere that needs to be turned clockwise when the weapon's fully extended.

Yes, aside from the fact that of the ones that do lock it's undocumented.

I know Ironhide's gun can be locked open by twisting the knob. I didn't know about Megatron's ladder thing. I'm not aware of any way to lock any others.

O for... Again, Voyager Prime's weapons locks via the oval button in the back. Just twist it clockwise.

Shockwave's gun has a tab under the gray piece that snaps into a slot further down. Seriously people, you need to look at your toys a little closer.

All Voyager mech-tech weapons can lock.
Deluxe mechtech weapons cannot bar a few exceptions like Starscream's and Laserbeaks's.

My voyager Shockwave and Megatron weapons lock fine. However, Ironhide's weapon just WILL NOT lock when twist the knob on his gun.

Really? I opened Barricade last night and once the thing locked of it's own accord but I couldn't recreate it. I spent more time playing with the robot and kitbashing his neck and ankles so he can stand up properly, have full knee articulation and look around without his beard getting in the way so maybe I'm missing something obvious.

All Voyager Weapons can be locked. Deluxes cannot (see acception below). As far as I know from waves 1 and 2:
* Optimus Prime: Push the button in and twist it to the (left or right, my mtw keeps jamming on that one)
* Megatron: Push the ladder in and turn it to the right
* Ironhide: Push the button in, especially the "inner knob," and twist it to the right
* Shockwave: Push the button in as hard as you can and lock the peg at the bottom into the hole
* Skyhammer: Push the pipe mold in and turn them (or it, since it's a mold) to the right
The only acception to a Deluxe locking it it's weapon as far as I know is Starscream, because of the combining mechanism.

Since I got him, my Ironhide's weapon absolutely will not lock no matter what I do, yet sometimes when using the gatling gimmick it catches and the gun doesn't push in and out smoothly.
I believe Laserbeak's weapon locks because of the combining gimmick, also.

If someone could, please provide a picture for skyhammer's locking mechtech....I just can't figure it out at all!
Looking to acquire a complete set of the G1 Insecticons (Bombshell, Kickback, and Shrapnel). They dont have to be MISB, have the cards. The TRU re-issues are fine too. The only person that can verify my buying status is CounterPunch as he is the only person I have purchased from.
