ha! for like the first time ever, i was patient. i saw EMOP on shelves (even on sale a couple times) and said "no.... no no... just wait for takaras". had i crumbled like i normally do, i might have bought this 3P item.

i currently only have two: takaras EMOP and TRU japan rusty prime.
and yeah... SO WANT the black version too... still plan on getting him but the prices just keep going up and up

About a month ago, I worked out a deal with an eBay seller for Nemesis Grimlock and Nemesis Prime for $330 shipped. eBay was handing out 10% eBay bucks that day, so in my head, I got the pair for $300.

I'm still kicking myself for having paid that much, even though it's probably better than anything we'll see on eBay for some time. But given that this thing really seems to have been a literal exclusive, I feel somewhat justified. More so if that resell value sticks.

The package arrived a few days after I left for my trip. Once I'm back in a couple weeks, I'm sure I'll be won over by its sheer black repaint glory.

Also, before I left, I picked up the Prime Evolution 2-pack... so check that off my list.

I like this.

I just got the white Takara exclusive as my first version of the mold, and it is really quite nice ... one of the best molds I have from the 4th movie ... not that I have many of them.

I'm waiting for the Autobot 5 pack version of Prime, and I may very well make him my classics Prime.

Though with this set, I could probably save a bunch of $$$ by getting the regular retail one and swapping in this head.

dont be upset with that. right out of the gate that nemesis prime was 200 shipped wherever i looked. now he's pushing past 250, not including shipping. so im looking at 300ish after shipping and conversion....

Outside of Prime wearing a big black diaper, I really like it!

Think this is one of the worser 3rd party add on kits. think all the armor looks terrible on the HasTak toy in both modes.

To make matters worse, Always thought the AOE Voyager Optimus toy was a terribly sculpted, anorexic and puny looking optimus toy.

Only willing to buy a 3rd party replacements parts kits or add on kit if the actual HasTak or 3rd party toy is awesome. in this case, Think the AOE Voyager Optimus toy is a failure of a toy in every category possible.

Had the AOE Evasive Optimus design been done on a leader scale. Then this would have forced the designers and engineers to make the sculpt more bulkier, higher sculpted-detailed, more parts and pieces,higher spending budget and given it stronger joints tech.

I'm pretty sure you're the minority on this. People love Evasion Optimus - I think. Folks out there, correct me if I'm wrong.

3rd Party kits just as often take a sub-par toy and make it acceptable, or take a decent toy and make it great. A figure doesn't need to be the best thing ever to warrant an upgrade.

We already got a Leader scale Optimus.

It looks really good. At $44 I may get it just for kicks.One thing I really like is the new head. I like Evasion Prime a lot, but can't stand the head.

I'll pick up an evasion mode prime for this, probably tonight.
Walmart currently has them for $20, so that works for me.

If this add on kit really is $44, that is a bit steep, since I mostly just want the noggin.
But it is still cheaper than buying the Autobots united 5 pack, just for the better Op with the mask.

Gives me that warm feeling. Im all about this Ginrai!

if you think about it, this is a pretty smart idea. with the the sheer amount of uses this mold has makes the opportunities for this upgrade kit much greater.

hmm... i wonder how this will look with the Optimus prime evo two pack. Have a feeling I might have to get the original release for these add ons

I'd imagine it would look almost the same. I believe the differences between regular release and Evo pack Prime is a few extra paint apps, grey feet (instead of blue for the regular) and a face mask. Since you're getting a new head with this pack, it seems that the rest of the armor pieces will cover any different paint apps. The feet may be the only real difference if you plan on keeping him in robot mode.

I think alt mode paint app is quit different. also I thought both don't have face plates.

I'm in process of redoing my classics shelves, and this has the potential to be my new classics Optimus.

Love it! Gonna have to paint the eyes blue...or maybe even yellow.

IDK why they didn't try to improve the hands more with blue guantlant armor like God Ginrai had. oh well

I think this thing is cool, and better-looking than the one that somebody (Fansproject, I think) was making for Classics OP. It kind of puts his aesthetic into some sort of middle-ground, Classics/Movie hybrid, which isn't bad at all, possibly because I watch my 5-year-old play with my TFs and see how he doesn't care if the uber-detailed Movie-style figures mix with the simplified Animated characters and what not.

As long as this isn't selling for $150 or whatever, I'm in.
