I think it's that. The front strap of the pistol grip actually looks accurate to a P38!

It also definitely looks like a bracing extension could connect on the back of the grip as well, why not include it and the barrel extension/silencer? Will that be the difference between this release and the MakeToys Despotron and X-Transbots Apollyon? 'Cause $20 more to have it is worth it to me.

The prototype pics I saw of MT's didn't show the extension, but the description doesn't state what's included. I don't know if MT's will come with the add-ons. To me, pretty much any "MP" based Megatron should come with them. (I kinda regret missing out on the MP-05 add-on set...)

I missed out on that set too. And yeah, they should all come with them! Maybe these won't thanks to using Takara MP5 as the example.

Oh snap. That transformation looks like less can break/pop-off than Apollyon. BUT, that's a serious backpack that actually HINDERS waist articulation! Dang it.

The kibble is cleaned up, below the skirt is the articulation, hmm....properly lined up the back looks more like IDW gun-mode Megatron!

Just had some infuriating time with Apollyon, looks like he's going to my nephew and a new Megaton will be purchased.

I really wish this guy came with the extension pieces that it clearly is designed for.
