Okay if I'm looking at this right you basically took made Zarak's head into a ball joint to connect to the body and allow it to still turn and look around. I'm assume there is an extra peice added for the neck that he connects to. Looks good.
If you actually did do a balljoint neck, then no, you wouldn't be able to use a Tech Spec meter as well, since the three slats (or single three-level slat) you'd need to trigger the readout would freeze the head in place anyway. But like I said, it doesn't look balljointed to me anyway; the front of the head's fairly round, but the back part is clearly squared.

Well technically no there isn't a ball joint how ever the tech spec meter idea wouldn't work with this either since what I did was remove the face from the back of Vorath I think that was what his name was, and then the back of Scorponok's head, and combined the two. Then to attach the head I drilled a hole the same size as his head into a piece of styrene that I cut to the size of the space across his empty area where the black piece was that connected the head to his body used to be. I then realized when I tried to transform him into his scorpion mode that the styrene was just thick enough that it interfered with the transformation, so I Dremeled down his shoulders so that they would fit over his new head connector plate. I need to find some way for me to lock his head so that it is tighter and doesn't flop around. I'm thinking about making a lock plate to slide around his neck inside the cockpit to lock it tight. Oh and in case you guys are wondering about the repainted Requiem blaster it is now Bruticus' Atomic Blaster. If you look closely you'll notice the radiation emblems on the rocket/missile.
