As I've said in the introductory thread when I signed up here at Seibertron, I've sort of taken it upon myself in what little spare time I have to start compiling what I like to call the Encyclopedia Cybertronia. This is kind of my own take on Marvel's Transformers Universe and Dreamwave's More Than Meets the Eye series. I'm trying to use images of the box art for each character just like in the original tech specs, plus their stats and write-ups that are sort of a melding of information from Marvel, Dreamwave, and the the original text from the tech specs themselves. The original focus of this project is on Generation 1. However, I've structured the entries so that it can include material from Generation 2, Beast Wars, Beast Wars II, and Beast Wars Neo at some future date.

As for the Geteration 1 material, I'm planning to include references to events from the original North American animated series and the various Japanese series: Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Return of Convoy, and Operation Combination. Now, I'm trying to write this as if the North American G1 series didn't stop with "The Rebirth", which introduced the Headmasters and Targetmasters. So I've taken some artistic license in giving some of the Japanese-exclusive characters North American names like Marvel did when the Transformers concept was originally developed (for example, Autobot leader Optimus Prime is called Convoy in Japan). A better example of this is Ginrai, who is a completely separate character from Convoy in the Masterforce series. But for the purposes of this compilation, Ginrai is simply Powermaster Optimus Prime.

Eventually, I'd like to make this PDF accessible to everyone here. Here's a sample of the original Optimus Prime's entry for everyone to look at. I'd appreciate any feedback that you folks might have to offer

Another sample for everyone's perusal. This is the entry for Powermaster Optimus Prime (or Super-Ginrai if you prefer). I'm also planning to include the God Ginrai and Star Convoy versions of Optimus Prime, which were never part of the original North American G1 continuity.

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I've been doing some considering lately about the images to be used. Specifically, I've been considering using cleaned up and colourized versions of the character model sheets for each character rather than the box art, since the model sheets for Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo are a lot more readily available than the box art. As for Beast Wars and Genration 2, I could probably make up my own model sheets, as well as for anything missing from Generation 1. Anyone have any opinions on that?

Here's the entry on the God Ginrai version of Optimus Prime, which I simply call his apex robot mode. You'll notice that I refer to Godbomber as Powerbomber in the text. I took that from the reference of the North American "Powermaster" being equated to the Japanese "Godmaster".
