Megatron Wolf wrote:Just finished the game and it was a disappointment, the story was great and all but the game itself was pretty lame. First off it was shorter than WFC, WFC took me 12 hours to finish the first time FoC took 8, theres no replay value (dont even feel like playing it again just to play it again), playing as bruticus was horrible and slowed down the pacing of the game way to much and grimlock was no better, switching up game play in each chapter was a good idea but you have such little time with each character that by the time you get the hang of it your off to the next guy, plus you spend such little time with each character you dont get attached to them at all, some of the voice acting choices were horrible (shockwave for example), no exploration & most areas seemed cramped, combat didnt feel as good as it did in WFC (passable but not perfect), then tack on the glitches and lame multiplayer and i feel it was a waste of $60. The first game felt fluid and like they had a plan this one felt like they didnt know what they wanted to do, its like FoC has ADD or something. Very let down with this game & now im going to be very very weary about buying games from HMS. Maybe they should just stick to writing cause that seems to be what they're good at. Knew i should've got darksiders 2 or dragons dogma.
SlyTF1 wrote:There better be a story based DLC to this game or something. The ending felt a lot like Mass Effect 3's. Rushed and just from out of nowhere with no explanation of what you just witnessed. I hope they have something to clear up the ending a bit. But that final battle was awesome. It reminded me of the Optimus vs Sentinel fight in DOTM. With the swords and shieds and all. I have longed for a final boss fight in a video game like that since then. Darksiders 2 came close, but this was even better. I just wish they would have explained the ending.

Besides the obvious that Mirage turns invisible, there was a point when Jazz said to CJ (and I paraphrase), "Maybe you should think twice again about switching sides" - almost directly referencing that G1 episode where Mirage was accused by CJ of switching sides. Or maybe it's a reference to another piece of Aligned continuity that I don't know about (where's Sabreblade when you need him???). Not so much a negative, just a curiosity.

It certainly could be some sort of reference to the original episode, but I felt it was just more of Jazz taking a swipe at Cliffjumper for his aggressivness and enjoyment for killing. Jazz (and awesome work by his voice actor - I was feeling the Scatman vibe!) seemed to have less of a taste for that kind of stuff - though no less capable.
Overall I feel that the cloaking was overdone in the campaign. I mean in the original continuity there was ONE guy who did that (unless I'm forgetting someone) and in here whole swathes of transformers can go invisible. Eh, it's fun gameplay though.
