The Quintesson had only one face, and a tall snakelike body, with four tentacles coming out of the upper part. It introduced himself as an Alpha Quintesson. He told me there was a time his race could be called an honored species. Vector Sigma originaly created the Alpha Quintessons, but that was all ended when a entity called Unicron altered them into the devious and pitiless race they are now. Unicron still was a weak force of nature then, but he left Cybertron in order to gain his absolute power. He knew it would took him millions of years before he could reach that goal. Quintessa was already almost depleted of all it's energy. They needed to find a new planet, rich of energon.
They found Cybertron. The Quintessons never saw Unicron again, but they saw it as their duty to built an army for him. And so they created the Cybertronians. The Alpha was the last of his kind, just like I was the last to mine. He was the one who took Vector Sigma and followed the Quintessons to Cybertron. He went underground and hid it with the purpose to wait for an oppertunity to use it against them.
"I am Shockwave, and I was the chosen one to create the army that would be used to defeat Unicron. And I did. The Alpha activated Vector Sigma with a golden key and it began to speak. Alpha told me to introduce myself to it and to tell it my wish; to give live to the Constructicons. And many more followed. First came the soldier Cybertronians, then the commercial workers."
Shockwave digs deeper in his private stuff and finds the remains of a Quintessons head."
"They never saw it coming and without the mindless Sharkticons to protect them, we deactivated those slime buckets for ever. Some of them escaped We never saw then again. And we didn't care. We had a world to build and an army to create to battle against Unicron.
"We send out scout vessels in order to locate the source of evil and we found it. It took a few cycles, and a lot of brave Cybertronians were killed but we did it. We send the remaining peaces to hundreds of corners of the galaxy. Next, it was up to us to search for the Quintessons and give them what they'd deserved. But Quintessa was deserted. Not even a single Sharkticon."
"Being almost depleted out of energon we needed to return to Cybertron. And that's where we lived in peace for eons."

FAQ
Who created the Quintessons? Vector Sigma created a robotic race called the Quintessons who were devoting their lives to peace and prosperity.
What is the origin of Vector Sigma then? At my point of writing the origin of VS is still unknown. It's not certain it will become clear.
Why do I use a lot of word like Quints and VS. I am kinda tired of writing and in my workfield I use short words. I think it's pretty easy to see where they are from.
I only use them in the FAQ, not the story.
Quints = Quintessons, the evil ones we alsways saw in the cartoon
AQ = The Alpha Quintesson
VS = Vector Sigma.
SW = Shockwave
Why didn't the (corrupted) Quints know about VS?
Cause of there corruption, the Quints loose a lot of intelligence and most of the planet's history and knowledge is lost. Even the excistence of VS
Why did the Quints leave Quintessa.
The corrupted Quintessons, like we know them from the G1 cartoon, leave Quintessa because Unicron took away it's energy. They find a new world rich of
energon called Cybertron. Unicron wasn't the technologically advanced planet he is to this date in that time. Although the Quints are bulding an army to protect him, that
doesn't matter Unicron honors the Quints in return. Alpha Quint follows the corrupted ones with VS and secretly awaits a good moment to give the first robot life. That robot is Shockwave. (The robots are still called robots, or Cybertronians, because that's what they are. Transformers do not excist yet.
Shockwave doesn't know why he is sentient, neither do the corrupted Quints. But since SW is sentient he learns what freedom is. And the Quints are
not giving that to the Cybertronians. Shockwave starts making plans to create a revolution, but he needs time and lots of it. Even hundreds of earth years.
During these events Shockwave creates a new technology; Transforming mechanical beings into vehicles. The Quints are proud of it and use it to create an army
of Sharkticons; reptile-like mechanoids able to travel through space who bring energon back to Quintessa. In our time, 2005, Quintessa was again depleted and because of the
lack of energy and maintenance, the Sharkticons got less advanced.
Are the Sharkticons intelligent?
No, they were just as low intelligence as all other Cybertronians. But officially they might be called the first Transformers.
How did SW find the AQ?
Shockwave also travelled a lot through the underground tunnels and caves and there he found the Alpha Quintesson. It is possible the AQ implanted a program which would lure SW towards him some day. With his help and VS he build the army of sentient Transformers. The revolution began and the Quints were beaten, as well as Unicron.
Can we call SW aDecepticon at this point?
No, the TF's haven't started a war yet. Shockwave's only goal was to free the Transformers.
