The head also looks like Skar from IDW.

Whoever gives me the original 5, Paddles, Slapper, and Skar on my shelves first wins. Maybe add in Slash and Scorn for a nice round 10.

Well, I pre-ordered, but color pics of Planet X's Sludge could still sway me.

I was looking more closely at FP's Sludge. Is he going to have a big seat on his back in Dino mode? I hope you can flip a panel to make it more sleek for more G1 accuracy as well....

I don't think they were done with all 3P, just that they were not going to carry all of them. Perhaps Kapow's announcement has led to the glut of FP communication we've seen recently.

I think Kapow is mainly limting the stock they buy , i mean there latest sale has FP stock in it FX QU and a couple of Stunticons all £35-40 due to over stock .

I dunno ? I guess at the end of the day FP is way to popular to even consider shutting out completely they pretty much always hit a home run and with these 6 dinobots coming out they know there gonna be popular .

So, which design team do we think is in charge here: Causality, or Function X?

The way those feet are, I am inclined to say Causality, and if it's the same folks who designed M3, these might not be as fun as the fangasm might imply.

I'm thinking maybe the same team that did the Core series? The bigger, chunky parts with rounder edges + minibot seems to suggest so :-?

Before I consider buying. FP needs to confirm that all of these Dinobots are the same 7.5 inch robot height. Also need to see full test shots pics of everything.

Like the Robot, main Dino body and tail sculpting. Think the Four Dino feet are oversized, doofy and ugly sculpted. That segregated Dino neck reminds me of that horrible TM1 BW Megatron segregated Dino tail. Noticed the Dino head looks awkward in sculpt and worse the open mouth is permanently sculpted open, mouth can't close.

The FP Sludge Dino mode looks a bit cartoony and not as serious as the MF Sludge Dino mode.

The mouth is closed in one hard to notice backpack shot in botmode (2nd pic, with the red sword). :-B

Definitely on the fence between these and the Planet X versions.

I prefer the bot mode legs & alt mode on the PX, but the upper torso/head and the additional weapon on the FP version.

Right now I have both preordered, and may wait till I get them in hand to decide which to keep.

Unlike the 3P MP Dinobots I feel a little more comfortable doing that at this price range.

I may just mix and match specific members to get the ones I like best.

Can someone give me a run down on how many 3P are doing Dinobots and what scale? Is this the complete list? My head is spinning.

In addittion to it being a AOE Dino riders Gimmick. Think it can also be a Diaclone drivers Dinobots and Dinoking Pretenders Dinosaurs riding Homage gimmick.

With MF Striking out twice so far by my standards. With their Two Ugly, Weird, terrible looking robot modes. Think The FP Dinobots are more than back in the game.
