Yeah, it does look better than the initial images but it's still not blowing me away like a good FansProject figure normally does. I still suspect the profile view is going to be rather flat and un-impressive, and vehicle mode really doesn't impress either. Just doesn't look all that formidable.

He does seem like he was designed at around the same time as Defender and Protector.

But he still looks awesome, he just needs to be covered in guns and stuff. This guy should come with the weaponry iGear gave Ratchet and Ironhide (yes I know two different companies).

FP seems to be digging through their 'past ideas' folder, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was designed right along with Defender and Protector. Personally, I like FP's chunky look, so no problems here.

The alt. mode is boring, but it doesn't seem far off from G1 RB's alt. mode, so I don't see any problem. I guess they could've added a giant gun or something to it for kicks.

I am disliking their Roadbuster eve more. The shell/parts former in vehicle mode is not my thing.

Not into it at all. I especially don't like those dinky little hollow wheels and those petite half tracks on the back. That alt mode needs to look tougher than that to get my attention.

FP styling has always been polarizing. Even when CC was new, there were a lot of people who hates it's big and bulky nature and that face took a lot of getting used to. I actually shelled out money for a KO just so I could rip out it's face and use Dr. Wu's replacement. Not exactly the best decision I ever made with my money.

Anyways, I really like what I'm seeing of the figure. A definite buy when it comes out. It's just too bad my Decepticons are so out muscled by the Autobots!

Looks ok but I am holding off for now. I already got burned once when Hasbro put out Springer.

I don't have huge plans towards this figure. And in fact, I am also hoping that since we're getting Whirl there may be a Hasbro Roadbuster in the not too distant future. But regarding the whole Defender / Springer issue, it was years between Fansproject's and Hasbro's releases, and while I gladly bought the Hasbro version when it came out, I have no regrets about having gotten the Fansproject version.

To be fair, FP's springer went unopposed for about 3, maybe 4 years. That's the problem with collecting an ongoing toyline, we just do not know what's going to happen a couple years down the road

Defender will always be my Springer. I just cant take the Hasbro version seriously because it's so big and out of scale with the other 1986 movie characters. Im ok with the mold for Sandstorm because he isnt on the 1986 movie shelf. Heres hoping we get a 3rd party Blitzwing thats scaled to match previous figures.
