Rated X wrote:Defender will always be my Springer. I just cant take the Hasbro version seriously because it's so big and out of scale with the other 1986 movie characters.

Sooooo out of scale... Looks completely out of place!
If you like Defender better, good for you. He is a great figure. But I can't agree with scale being a reason for disliking the Hasbro version.
Rated X wrote:I’m really trying to see how you see Hasbro Springer as being in scale with the other popular 1986 movie figures. But I’m just not seeing it…
... ... ...
Looks like Defender is perfectly in scale to me. Granted Hasbro Springer is a nice stand alone figure. I don’t regret buying him. The head is a lot better than Defender's head. But he scales with the rest of the classics line and 3rd party figures like crap. Same thing with Blitzwing.

Rated X wrote:Thanks guys. My issue with Hasbro's Springer isn't their disregard for the cartoon scale. It's Hasbro's disregard for their previous figures that bothers me. It's like they said screw Astrotrain and Octane, kids like big figures better so forget what classics collectors think. Nothing is perfect, but there should be some consistency among the classics line. Prime and Megatron keep getting smaller, and their troops keep getting bigger.

Autobot Genocide wrote:RB looks ok but the more i look and especially at the alt mode it just looks old? i mean too blocky i feel like it already needs updating .
Banjo-Tron wrote:I also have to agree with X. I think Springer is a little too big, and prefer Defender for my lineup. Plus Sandstorm then looks unique rather than a (clever and extensive) retool. Plus my Impactor is pretty small, and there's no way Springer should tower over him.
Regarding Roadbuster, I think I will wait to see what Hasbro's plans are. Whirl looks awesome.

It is meant to be a military vehicle though. There's not many of them out there with the sleek lines of an Aston Martin.

I'm thinking Universe Ironhide. Don't quote me tho.Henry921 wrote:megatronus wrote:Where's that Impactor from?
Beast Machines Ultra Tankor. Not sure about the head sculpt.
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.

What will Fansproject do...?
