Yeah, it's less of a weird repaint and more of a cool one.

My pick for weird repaint would probably be the Titan Force version of Wingblade. The fact that I didn't think she could be repainted into anything helps enforce that

That's a pretty good choice. That one is strange for a couple reasons. First they've stuffed an RID figure into the Titans Return line, and then she's in a color scheme we've never seen before. They could have gone for Titan Hunter colors or gone super character accurate since the RID figure wouldn't do that at retail, but they went for gray and blue.

Yes, but it's not like she was running around in white when Metroplex was the big deal. It's an odd trait to suddenly pull on the character.

(And before anyone says anything, yes, I meant Combiner Hunter before.)

Onte that own,that I dont see getting much is love is Universe Blaster.He doesnt scream G1,but still feels recognisable as the character I saw in the Marvel Comics G1.

I have one, too, and like him as much as Soundwave. I'd love to see a Laserbeak figure repainted as Blockrock, basically reversing the black and red on Laserbeak.

The Pretender versions of Optimus and Megatron that FunPub did. Actually, FSS 5 as a whole is pretty much this for me other than Lifeline and SG Starscream (I like Shatterscream, but neither of them feels like that weird of a repaint to me).

I get that they wanted to call him Trailbreaker and accidentally gave the name Inferno to his wave mate, but this is the best they could come up with?

He's such a weird figure, but I do love that bot mode color scheme.

He is great but I dont think he fits in the same boat as all the others mentioned. he isnt a weird repaint in the sense that he makes perfect sense to have been made, he is the most show accurate of all the cliffjumpers in a way.

Maybe, but on the other hand, the undead aren't exactly typical fare for the Transformers toyline.

Weird repaints are among my favorite things. It’s hard to beat the Armada Transmetals Horsemen for weirdness. Cybertron Sky Shadow is a bit odd too in that he is not a new character but Jetfire in disguise. My favorite kinda offbeat but not necessarily weird repaint is Cybertron Defense Red Alert into Universe Countdown.

I'll see your Countdown and raise you a Universe Stormcloud. I don't know what it was about Universe figures becoming giant Micromasters. What I find even more unusual about Stormcloud compared to Countdown is that not only is he not even the right kind of jet, but he should have been Tailwind, Stormcloud's Micromaster partner.

The Prime/Arms Micron toyline had more than one undead redeco.

I love that figure. All of the Ultra repaints in Universe 2.0 were delightfully weird, but I think Cybertron Scourge into freaking RID Bruticus is easily the strangest.

Probably not a "favorite", but I do love fun errors. Between Classics Fireflight, Universe 2.0 Silverbolt and a Slingshot that doesn't exist, you can (not) account for 3/5ths of an Aerialbots team consisting of Cybertron Legends Class repaints.

The other two are insane:

Not only are those suddenly using G2 decos, but the names are reversed! I figure the G2 decos are just to break up the red in the box but it made for some wacky times, especially with a G1 colors Blades in there.
